I know a lot of sabers are going to rattle on my comment here.....so be it.
I feel that this event has been taken out of content and not explained properly to see what's taken place.
Emphasis on the bread and wine are not what this is about.
Jesus was preforming a Seder and while the deciples were well accustom to this practice they did not have a clue as to it's true meaning.
Jesus gave a revelation of himself showing that the bread which is fixed a certain way ( striped on one side and pierced throughout then torn in pieces to be shared) was given to the jews by God as a metaphor of the suffering servant to come.
After thousands of years the Lord himself explains the mystery in this appointed time.
Jesus being the bread of life . The manna which sustains.
The wine which is picked as the very best poured out and shared from one vessel being the blood as we well know.
Many churches put the emphasis on the bread and wine as if it becomes supernatural but jesus said remember me when you eat and drink referring to the other appointed times and feast.

Reading the story that jesus told of the feast of the king that set the table but those invited had excuses not to come so he sent his servants out to invite any that would come is a very interesting story.

I'll stop here for now not to get to far ahead...if you disagree I encourage you to review the dialogue spoken at the last supper as it's called and consider my comments.

In all in all always keep in communion with the Lord.
you are saying the application is not correct? The idea we are to remember what Jesus did even if Jesus said ' "Do this in remembrance of me " has not biblical application?

Sure it does but for one to say the bread and wine a necessary to have communion with the Lord or it's not a proper communion is false.
Jesus was giving a history lesson and revealing the mystery behind the bread and wine.
All scripture points to the christ.
When you eat and drink......fellowship of the saints.....family function... celebrations....feast days ...sabbaths.
If you study the feast days and the appointed times with jesus as the center of them they will reveal a lot and your understanding will become more clear.

I find it very hard to suggest the person said it was necessary but that he did quote what Jesus said as to AS often as you eat and drink you do show remembrance and " Do this in remembrance of me". I see where he said all things point to Christ as the question was " what do you see? But thanks for your input :)

What an Opening from the Pastor speaking about Daniel
[Psalms 84:10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness].

Wow, this man came with a Purpose from God right off the back. He set the [tone] going forward. David, would have been in complete joy for all eternity sitting at the Door to the personal House of God being a doorkeeper. David longed for His Eternity to be with God. He just wanted inside on the same premise that His Lord and Maker dwelt. He didn't care if it was the lowest position in all of Heaven, he just wanted to be there. That was good enough for him!

Wow, that's how you begin a Church Service, for anyone familiar with David here in Psalm 84.

I have often thought if I made it to heaven, what would i be and would i be wanting better.

I always chose the one picking up the apples from trees.

As long as it's in Heaven, that is way more than I deserve!

The outside observation does enact the the world's reflecting what sons of man are believing by what they see, smell, and read with secular history that's Devine history for waking up the man actually being a son of God before coming down into this world of death but only a play. that is very impossible under the sun.

We are living in a world that is like a play and some, seem from birth to be cast in a difficult role, and yet you tell him that God is Infinite Love. But he is the playwright and the casting director, for this is a play. As Shakespeare says –

“All the world’s a stage and all the men and women merely players. We have our exits and our entrances and one man in his time plays many parts.”
But that “time” is not three-score and ten; it is the time it takes to awaken that man, the perfect actor, or God.

I love my pastor he is a great mentor to me :)
I can see why!

Tell him as you shake his right hand, [Praise, the Lord], from a friend you have.
He is definitely a true Brother in Christ!
