Lastly ive stated we do have to examine job 1 to see if it is true of God,,,, based on this scripture

Acts 17:11 11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true
Those Bereans might have examined Job, too, since it is part of scripture.

Your being unfair there, you are correct that we shouldn’t offer an honorific to blasphemous text, and personally I wouldn’t ascribe Holy to the book or prophet to the Man, but billions of people do, de_emerald did retract his statement and apologized for the mistake, how about we extend some credit for his humility instead of continuing vilifying him after the fact,
Facts villify him?

I stated my EXACT experience

Seems to me you do what you chastise others for.

2 Peter 1: 20-21 KJV

20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

2 Timothy 3:16 KJV

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Mark 12:36 KJV

For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.
-
Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus. Acts 1:16 KJV

John 14:26 KJV

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Yes Men/Scribes we’re the tools used to physically write the word down on papayas or whatever, but what they wrote was inspired by God “Holy Spirit”

Inspired
adjective
aroused, animated, or imbued with the spirit to do something, by or as if by supernatural or divine influence:

More reason why we should study JOB 1 scripture to see if the scripture is true.

First big reason

Matthew 23:23 THE WORDS OF JESUS TO THE SCRIBES
23 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.

second reason

Anger mathew 5:21-23
21 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.’ 22 But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother[a] will be liable to judgment; whoever insults[b] his brother will be liable to the council (whoever murders, which is what satan did in Job 1)

Third reason Acts 17:11 11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

Fourth reason
Timothy 2:15
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

fith reason
Matthew 5:20
esv

20 For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. (we must be more rightous than the scribes)

sixth reason
luke 22:1-2
The Plot to Kill Jesus
22 Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread drew near, which is called the Passover. 2 And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to put him to death, for they feared the people.
seventh reason
Mark 15:1
Jesus Delivered to Pilate
15 And as soon as it was morning, the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council. And they bound Jesus and led him away and delivered him over to Pilate.

eigth reason
Mark 1:22
22 And they were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as one who had authority, and not as the scribes. (the scribes where not teaching correctly thus have no authority)

Both you and I believe Demons can posses someone against there will and force that person to act according to the Demons direction yes?

So if a supernatural being can fully control an unprotected human in every way by force, can God being the ultimate supernatural being not do the same, when the person in question invites God to do so by willingly submitting control of themselves to Him?
we are instructed to submit to the Lord completely and depend upon the Holy Spirit totally, is this not the definition of surrendering ourselves to Gods Will so that his will be done and not ours?

To be fair I for one struggle to submit control to God all the time, my Pride keeps telling me that I’m good enough to do on my own, I’m not a very good sheep, but He loves me anyway lol that said I’ve never been charged with penning the scriptures, 😬

Brother you don’t have to believe me that the word of God is perfect, or that the Holy Spirit wrote the Bible, all I can do is answer you honestly as I see it, rather instead of asking us mere mortals, go directly to God, and ask him, you are saved yes, you have the Holy Spirit indwelling you, the Kingdom of God is within you, then talk to him directly and ask for confirmation.

Yup and now your becoming resentful to me, i asked you nicely in the name of Jesus to be particapate and this is your reply, this is out of character for. you. that is all.

I ill stand by word of Jesus, Jesus said to satan do not tempt God. and get away from me.

That is not what happened in Job 1, satan tempted God, and no where does God say get way from me and do not tempt God. One of them is a lie.
Satan did not tempt God. You are reading something into the conversation that is not there. You need to remember that Satan had the right to roam the earth without deferring to God. God gave Adam dominion and Adam gave that dominion to Satan.

Reread the account in Job 1. God in effect challenged Satan, not the other way round. God knew that Job would prevail and come through the ordeal knowing God, not just knowing about God. Satan lost this round. God outsmarted him. Satan does not know the future. He has learned much about human nature so he can predict behaviour quite well. However, God is always a step ahead of him.

Satan is in a different position from where he was at the time of Job 1. Satan is God's defeated enemy. Lord Jesus overcame the world system (Satan's rebellious response to God's command to Adam) and also defeated Satan, principalities, powers, the wicked rulers of darkness of this age and the spiritual wickedness in high places.

Satan lost the battle to secure the allegiance of the Lord Jesus. That was the temptation in the wilderness. Satan never saw that Lord Jesus was God and dealt with Him as if He were a man. Lord Jesus had indeed emptied Himself of what made Him God, but He remained God. Satan and those of Satan refused to accept that Lord Jesus was God in human form. Lord Jesus defeated Satan every time He was attacked. We enjoy the victory. Instead of trying to find fault with God's word, it would be wise to accept Jesus as Lord of you life and allow Him to lead you and guide you.

You still havent corrected what you wrote, that the holy spirit wrote all scripture. untill you do then you can correct me. Jesus battled with the scribes. The scribes went beyond interpretation of Scripture, however, and added many man made traditions to what God had said. They became professionals at spelling out the letter of the Law while ignoring the spirit behind it. Things became so bad that the regulations and traditions the scribes added to the Law were considered more important than the Law itself. This led to many confrontations between Jesus and the Pharisees and scribes. perhaps you should be charging them with penning the scripture.

Hi hope you dont mind i would like to hear everybodies thoughts on your reply that all scripture been wrote by the holy spirit. @Pilgrimshope @JaumeJ @1ofthem @Absolutely @AandW @Mem @Dino246 @Magenta @Lucy-Pevensie @glen55 @Gideon300 @Runningman @Ahwatukee @tourist. @Blade @Rolly @Nehemiah6 @presidente @posthuman @Kidron @azsheepdog hi to everyone again.

2 Timothy 3:16
16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

Here we see it says all scripture is God approved but it doesnt say all scripture was wrote by the holy spirit.

So you really do not understand the [God Breathed] from your Verse (2 Timothy 3:16) means inspired by the Holy Spirit?

Christ [BREATHED] upon His Disciples and said, Receive the Holy Spirit!

God Breathed is the entire Word of God that is INSPIRED directly by the Holy Spirit!

In fact, GOD Breathed is what happened after God formed man from the dust of the Earth. God Breathed life into man. God Breathed Life into the Word of God for our growth in knowledge of Him.

According to Job 1, Gods repersention of Job was he was upright and perfect and one who feared God and who avoided evil. (why then should he be tested) well like you say maybe God knew he would pass the test and God was challenging satan to test him. Now ive used this argument befor and it was dismissed.
another problem with Job 1 is why is satan allowed into heaven at the point of time in the bible he was.
Job 1 is right at the end of the old testerment after Satan was cast out of heaven. So you have to ask what is an unclean spirit doing in heaven. surely Job 1 should be at the beginning of the old testerment befor the fall. Scripture quite clearly tells us God detests evil.

The other problem is people use the story of Job 1 to say God allows demons to test people all the time.
i argued what you have here and said no possibly God would only do that to someone who he knows would not fall from Grace. I dont argue that anymore because ive researched it somemore and know what Jesus says about demons, and he has no part with them and does not give them an inch.

Sorry i do understand what God inspired scripture means i follow Jesus. your using one one thrase out of the bible to power phrase and stamp your own authority, and at the same time cast doubt on me, this is why jesus rebuked a lot of scribes also because they where charged with the same miss repersentation of authority not repersenting the spirit in there writings. they where behaving like the pharisees. The fact whether all scripture is God inspired does not mean its all been repersented correctly by the scribes. Thus being the reason we should examine the scripture.

we are instructed to examine the scripture to see if it is true of the spirit. and to devide the truth.

Jesus rebuked the scribes who had miss repersented the law in there writings over and over again.

It means, what we read in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, it has [ALL] been inspired, or God Breathed, by the Holy Spirit to each Writer of the Books of the Bible.

your still carrying on to power phrase. Do you believe Jesus allows an evil spirit to torment someone. This is a power phrase for your power phrase Jesus wants (ALL) to be saved.

It says that all Scripture is "God-breathed", which is the most literal translation of the Greek word theopneustos. It does not say anything about Scripture being "approved".

Now, what's your point?

BTW "Holy Spirit" or "Holy Ghost" should be capitalized. And here is where we see that all Scripture was written by the Holy Spirit: For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. (2 Peter 1:21)

To be "moved" by the Holy Ghost is to be totally controlled by the Holy Spirit. And "the prophecy" here means anything found in Scripture. The Old Testament is called "the Law and the Prophets", but since Moses himself was prophet, all of the OT was written by prophets. But Peter applies this same principle to himself and all the New Testament writers by says "We (apostles) have a more sure word of prophecy". Prophecy is strictly divine revelation, and since all Scripture was given by divine revelation, it is all "a more sure word of prophecy".
