The Fruit of the Spirit: Galatians 5:22-26
Paul’s point in these verses is to emphasize the attributes that should be evident in a Christian if the Holy Spirit dwells within someone’s heart, as opposed to those attributes that are evident in an person who is not born from above.

Fruit is produced by the Lord Jesus using the Spirit of God in our lives. He wants to live His life through us. That is the reason I keep saying that you are not asked to live the Christian life. You are asked to let Him live through you. It is not by our own efforts but by The Holy Spirit who leads us to do the will of God

Thank you. May God also bless you.

I've been a member of Christian forum sites for awhile here and there.

One thing I've both witnessed and learned is, there will always be those who strive to steal your joy. Challenging our nature in Christ to see if we can keep his commands ourselves when we speak of and defend their application in today's world.

Never ever let them succeed. When you encounter that persona, recognize it and its source. And, as Yeshua taught, kick the dust from your feet and keep it moving.

God and his word doesn't reach them. What chance have we who are in Christ?

I find more sincere believers in the live chats when I watch my preachers and churches on YouTube there are always some anti-rapture people but I never in my 15 years saved have I found anti-10 commandments, that's the first thing the Holy Spirit does is convict you of sin in your life and "clean you up" there are so many verses about how idolaters, sexually immoral, liars, etc. will nor inheret the kingdom of God. This is new to me, these "Christians" couldn't have really repented to receive Christ as they're Lord and Savior if they are still in sin. Therefore a false conversion and they do not get convicted of sin or "spoken" to by the Word because the Holy Spirit is not present in them.

I get so sick of this whole thing here. I really do.

@Ebeth33 I'm not talking about the OP I like it...it's good.

What I am sick of is all the fighting over scriptures...anytime anyone brings up walking in the Spirit, trusting in the Lord to help us to be holy, and set us free...then comes all the drama.

God didn't call us into sin. He called us out of the darkness into the light...and that is that. He made us overcomers. Now that don't mean that we are going to be perfect, but through him we have an advocate with the Father and forgiveness of our sins through Jesus Christ.

We have a new life in Him and have been set free. We are now in JESUS. We walk in his power and not our own.

That's a true story and should make all us feel joy and encouragement.

So please people stop discouraging others...We are no longer slaves to sin. Jesus broke the chains and set us free.

Don't try to keep holding people down in sin...lift them up and encourage them in the Lord.

do not believe that we are utterly unable to keep the 10 commandments
As regenerate Children with a new nature our hearts have been turned toward wanting to keep them, but if we ever think we are keeping His Commandments as we ought (or as they ought to be kept), we are only fooling ourselves. We are always in need of His grace.

Thank you! I needed that. I am in wonder at how difficult of a time I'm having, I'm just tring to say that The Holy Spirit helps us to keep the law, and be an example that it IS possible with God. I don't know how long I will try to reach the (brethren or lost?) as I find my Joy being stolen and my patience being tried and my self control being tested! So true what you said above God Bless you!
Didn't you pray for patience? Now you're in a spot to grow patience and you're already talking about leaving? Hmm...

Ebeth, not to pick on you, but you did say "do not believe that we are utterly unable to keep the 10 commandments". Then, when I questioned you on whether or not you've stopped sinning, period, you said "no, I haven't even interacted with anyone..."

Now, you say, "Okay, maybe I don't love my enemies but I pray for patience, I never said I was perfect, but what I'm trying to say is that with the Holy Spirit inside you it is much easier not to hate or lustor covet and keep from lying."

I'm sorry, but these are two totally different statements.

it is not a sin not to pray for your enemies, or love them, it is not breaking the ten commandments.

Yes, if God doesn't give me patience to continue being baraged by everybody concerning my walk, I'll take it as a sign that He never sent me here to witness in the first place. If you are not well received in that house or city, shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them. You all seem to have all the answers and don't seem to need to follow His commandments then why should I try to change your mind? You seem to have your own beliefs that don't coincide with the way the Holy Spirit has led me to be, so I'll leave you to your thoughts and just say good luck with that and leave.

There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ, but that doesn't mean that we aren't supposed to try and if we stumble repent and take up your cross and start over every day. we walk in the spirit which is full of grace but that grace does not give us a liscense to sin, since nobody could be as perfect as Jesus. If you are still living in sin I don't believe you are born again that is not Christ living His life in you.

“Against such things there is no law.” In other words, “When a Christian walks by the Spirit and manifests His fruit, he or she needs no external law to produce the attitudes and behavior that please God.”

they are a help to guard against the curses that breaking them can bring. for any not walking completely in The Spirit (completely become a disiple to the Christ 24/7) they can help lead us to Christ-Likeness.

for the one already arrived at the walking in Spirit E-Ter-Nal-Ly (100% - perhaps after much, much work) -- they may not be necessary or needed anymore. they lead (the physical + spiritual keeping) -- to 100% Christ-walk (Spirit following 24/7).

Hebrews 10:26
For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,
Galatians 5:19
Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality,
1 Corinthians 6:11
And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Galatians 5:21
Envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Revelation 21:27
But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life.
2 Corinthians 5:11
Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade others. But what we are is known to God, and I hope it is known also to your conscience.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
1 Corinthians 5:11
But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one.
Romans 13:13
Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy.
Revelation 21:6-8
And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son. But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”
Colossians 3:5
Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
Ephesians 5:18
And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,
Ephesians 5:5-7
For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not become partners with them;
Galatians 5:24
And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
1 Corinthians 15:33
Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”
1 Corinthians 6:18
Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.
Romans 14:17
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Romans 8:9
You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.
Luke 13:24
“Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able.

And I as well, thank you for being here and sharing your faith and walk in the Holy Spirit, He will indeed guide us in all truth.
Jesus reduced all the law to Love God and love your fellow man. I know you do from your posts.
Every time His truth is shared the adversary is right there to attempt to steal it, we see that in the negative posts made here after you shared your truth, please don't let that dissuade you from continuing.

The issue isn’t that you’re wrong. The problem is that spiritual maturity is not instantaneous the moment we become a follower of Christ. Your words are meat. Those without teeth cannot adequately process and digest them, so they spit them out. I spent many years going to churches and listening to sermons directed at babes in Christ. It programs the mind into thinking there is nothing more besides a rudimentary understanding of purpose. It has been in this wilderness I am in, that led me to seek the Lord more diligently and know Him intimately that I understand the Scriptures and have life to the full. Patience isn’t given by God to deal with children. Wisdom that you are dealing with children is given, which brings patience. Be blessed. Welcome.

a thought -- if we think we know for sure everything, then we don't yet know that we don't yet know. this is not directed at any one in particular, but to any follower of Christ.

God knows more than us so when we / if we ever think our ideas/doctrines/thoughts are the sure and whole truth about any subject, we may not be thinking like God yet (who knows ev er y thing, and we possibly only a few pieces and some pieces thought known badly wrong or at a different level and thought to be all the truth -- will or can mess up the rest of our thinking). just a thought, for any reading this.

Wow, that's eye opening. My problem is not that they are acting like babes in Christ who are on fire for God, they are acting like people who are not spirit filled. At first my intention was to make sure the brethren were ready to be caught up, which I believe is so soon. To be watching, faithful, obeying and praying to be counted worthy to escape. Essentially getting right with God. But what reactions I got was not only are they not ready, but that they aren't even saved or at the least not wanting to accept that without true repentance (turning away from sin) how can they be born again? We are called to be children of the light, to be the salt of the earth. To follow Jesus is to obey His teachings. It is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that we need to understand the scriptures. So some need to go back and truly repent and make Jesus their Lord and Savior and pray to be filled with His Holy Spirit. Rather than walking around in self righteousness not heeding the warnings in the bible but just shrugging to nobody is held accountable for their actions because they said the sinner's prayer. Born again believers do get a hunger for the things of God and a desire to do the will of God, and they are filled with the spirit if they had a sincere conversion. But the fruits of the spirit must take growing and maturing I guess? But shouldn't we know true believers by their fruit? By how they treat others especially their brothers and sisters in Christ?

I don't claim to know everything but I've been walking with God for 15 years now and He has helped me understand and revealed what He wants from me and it always coincides with walking the narrow path. How can you be walking the narrow path that few find if we are not even turning away from sin? They are not OUR doctrines or ideas or thoughts that are in the word but God's and again the Holy Spirit guides us and teaches us leads us in all truth. When we are born again we hate what God hates and want to be speperated from the immoral or heathen or even the world. The problem is many aren't filled with the spirit and are hearing their own thoughts and make up their own interpretations of scripture. As for me when I want to know something I ask God and He answers. It took seeking Him with all my heart soul mind and strength for awhile but I found Him. I thank Him every time I pray. It is important to ask in prayer for the gifts of the Spirit and of course to be filled with the Spirit if there's no evidence of fruit.

" When we are born again we hate what God hates and want to be separated from the immoral or heathen or even the world "

After being born again the next step is the renewing of the mind and you have done so, you view the world as God views it and are open and desiring more growth in His ways. Not all do so, many stay as carnal Christians, believing this world is their home. it is not.
Churches seem to be focused on the lowest common denominator, as one contributor mentioned from His walk.
This ministry is the one that I have grown the greatest from and I offer this to you to enjoy and grow in, please pm me if you would like.
It is from the Bible.

So glad you are here, please stay.
