"And, it would appear to be much more constructive to focus on applying
and acting upon the Divine words, rather than inventing imaginative dialog
totally out of the jurisdiction of the human capacity to grasp historical events.
The imagination often corrupts the validity of spiritual inspiration that of which
appears to be soundly influenced by qualified participants during historical events,
and which many mysteries shall always remain, a mystery.
I personally find it a daily full time endeavor to strive to live life the best I know how,
keeping in mind the basic principles set forth by Christ our Lord. And, to understand,
the entirety of the Divine words pertain to the nature of life, and how we are to conduct
our lives accordingly, and ignoring this leads down a twisted and tangled path of confused
complicated foolishness, and this too has been told of would be the consequences of worldly ego,'thinking'.

"Let us be reminded, prayers are powerful communication with one another with the
hope of expressing love, hope and support in troubling times, and should never be taken
lightly, nor in an attempt to impress a troubling soul that oneself is acquainted with untold
scripture passages, being commendable, but the reality of real life troubling issues must,
and should be addressed accordingly, precisely what is before us, here in the now, and to know
being led by the Holy Spirit...indispensable."

1950's version of an E-Mail

I have no idea who put this together, but it is wonderful....especially the pix!!
image015.jpg

Long ago and far away, in a land that time forgot,
Before the days of Dylan , or the dawn of Camelot.
There lived a race of innocents, and they were you and me,

There lived a race of innocents, and they were you and me,

For Ike was in the White House in that land where we were born,
Where navels were for oranges, and Peyton Place was porn,

We longed for love and romance, and waited for our Prince,
Eddie Fisher married Liz, and no one's seen him since

We danced to 'Little Darlin,' and sang to 'Stagger Lee'
And cried for Buddy Holly in the Land That Made Me, Me.

Only girls wore earrings then, and 3 was one too many,
And only boys wore flat-top cuts, except for Jean McKinney.

And only in our wildest dreams did we expect to see
A boy named George with Lipstick, in the Land That Made Me, Me.

We fell for Frankie Avalon, Annette was oh, so nice,
And when they made a movie, they never made it twice..

We didn't have a Star Trek Five, or Psycho Two and Three,
Or Rocky-Rambo Twenty in the Land That Made Me, Me.

Miss Kitty had a heart of gold, and Chester had a limp,
And Reagan was a Democrat whose co-star was a chimp.

We had a Mr. Wizard, but not a Mr. T,
And Oprah couldn't talk yet, in the Land That Made Me, Me.

We had our share of heroes, we never thought they'd go,
At least not Bobby Darin, or Marilyn Monroe.
For youth was still eternal, and life was yet to be,
And Elvis was forever in the Land That Made Me, Me.

image001.jpeg

We'd never seen the rock band that was Grateful to be Dead,
And Airplanes weren't named Jefferson , and Zeppelins were not Led.

And Beatles lived in gardens then, and Monkees lived in trees,
Madonna was Mary in the Land That Made Me, Me.

We'd never heard of microwaves, or telephones in cars,
And babies might be bottle-fed, but they were not grown in jars.

And pumping iron got wrinkles out, and 'gay' meant fancy-free,
And dorms were never co-Ed in the Land That Made Me, Me.

We hadn't seen enough of jets to talk about the lag,
And microchips were what was left at the bottom of the bag.
And hardware was a box of nails, and bytes came from a flea,
And rocket ships were fiction in the Land That Made Me, Me.

T-Birds came with portholes, and side shows came with freaks,
And bathing suits came big enough to cover both your cheeks.

And Coke came just in bottles, and skirts below the knee,
And Castro came to power near the Land That Made Me, Me.

We had no Crest with Fluoride, we had no Hill Street Blues,
We had no patterned pantyhose or Lipton herbal tea
Or prime-time ads for those dysfunctions in the Land That Made Me, Me.

image027.jpeg

There were no golden arches, no Perrier to chill,
And fish were not called Wanda, and cats were not called Bill

And middle-aged was 35 and old was forty-three,
And ancient were our parents in the Land That Made Me, Me.

But all things have a season, or so we've heard them say,
And now instead of Maybelline we swear by Retin-A.
They send us invitations to join AARP,
We've come a long way, baby, from the Land That Made Me, Me.

image028.jpeg
So now we face a brave new world in slightly larger jeans,
And wonder why they're using smaller print in magazines.
And we tell our children's children of the way it used to be,
Long ago and far away in the Land That Made Me, Me.

image024.jpeg

If you didn't grow up in the fiftys,
You missed the greatest time in history,
Hope you enjoyed this read as much as I did.

COWS DON’T GIVE MILK
A father used to say to his children when they were young: —When you all reach the age of 12 I will tell you the secret of life. One day when the oldest turned 12, he anxiously asked his father what was the secret of life. The father replied that he was going to tell him, but that he should not reveal it to his brothers.
—The secret of life is this: The cow does not give milk. "What are you saying?" Asked the boy incredulously. —As you hear it, son: The cow does not give milk, you have to milk it. You have to get up at 4 in the morning, go to the field, walk through the corral full of manure, tie the tail, hobble the legs of the cow, sit on the stool, place the bucket and do the work yourself.
That is the secret of life, the cow does not give milk. You milk her or you don't get milk. There is this generation that thinks that cows GIVE milk. That things are automatic and free: their mentality is that if "I wish, I ask..... I obtain."
"They have been accustomed to get whatever they want the easy way...But no, life is not a matter of wishing, asking and obtaining. The things that one receives are the effort of what one does. Happiness is the result of effort. Lack of effort creates frustration."
So, share with your children from a young age the secret of life, so they don't grow up with the mentality that the government, their parents, or their cute little faces is going to give them everything they need in life.
Remember
"Cows don't give milk; you have to work for it."

Subject: GREAT PLAN "IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.” WRITTEN BY A 21-YEAR-OLD FEMALE.
To:
This was in the Waco Tribune-Herald, Waco, TX. PUT ME IN CHARGE:
Put me in charge of food stamps. No cash for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho's, just money for 50-pound bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese, and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want steak and frozen pizza, then get a job.
Put me in charge of Medicaid. Then, we'll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine. If you want to use drugs, alcohol, or smoke, then get a job.
Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks? You will maintain
our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your "home" will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried. If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get
a job and your own place.
In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or you will report to a "government" job. It may be cleaning the roadways of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you.
We will sell your 22-inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the "common good.” Before you write that I've violated someone's rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules. Before you say that this would be "demeaning" and ruin your "self-esteem," consider that it wasn't that long ago that taking someone else's money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self-esteem.
If we are expected to pay for other people's mistakes we should attempt to make them learn
from their bad choices. The current system rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.
While you are on Gov't subsistence, you can no longer VOTE! Yes, that is correct. For you
to vote would be a conflict of interest. You will voluntarily remove yourself from voting
while you are receiving a government welfare check. If you want to vote, then get a job.
It is weird that our flag and our culture offend so many people! But our benefits don't?
They're "expected" because this is AMERICA! Only want the Money made in the U.S.A.?

Jesus Says in His word John 14:6 I am the Way the Truth the Life and know one cometh to the Father but through me .
i disagree about all Christian Churches are just buildings " we are to realize the body believers by Faith through His Grace we are Saved and not of works lest any man should boast . Galatians 1:6 Warns us Christians time and time again about going back to the "law " that was not meant for us today as Christians , but for Israel before Jesus came to Die for us in this dispensation . The Road to Salvation is Narrow its only through Jesus Christ we are Saved not by our "good deeds " We are Sinners still in the flesh , and we need to be led by the Spirit not the Flesh . Taking out of the Bible and the Truth is very serious because it leads others to think they have 100% truth and even with 1% error they can continue to say that they are Apostles , and those with a prophetic message ? Jesus said to Work out your own Salvation with FEAR and Trembling . Religion is not Christianity Mate a True Christian is Born again by Faith not sight , not by going to a certian church and its not about taking trips to Israel , many are not recognizing that even "Jews need " Jesus Christ and only way is through Repentance and Trusting by Faith through Grace in Jesus . Have a Blessed Day mate ,

" Because God Commands It. Soul winning is not an option. It is not a spiritual gift. It is
not a church growth program. It is a clear, unequivocal, unavoidable command of God.
There will be judgment for non-believers. But it will not come from the church.
Christians are to have nothing to do with judging non-believers or outsiders. Their role
is to be concerned with the behavior or misbehavior of those within the church. It’s
believers who should hold one another accountable, because we should all be operating
by the same code as each other.
There will be judgment for non-believers. But it will not come from the church. Non-
believers will be held accountable to God. He’s the one who will judge them for their sin.

This is not the role of the church and it never has been."

~I am sending you to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and
from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place
among those who are sanctified by faith in me.~

Good Advice
Good Old Days

Some good advice FOR THOSE WHO ARE 60 yrs OLD AND ABOVE PLEASE READ THIS.
This is for you. I really like what is said here and am going to try my best to follow it. Thank you to the person who wrote this. May God bless us all as we strive to be a blessing to others at this age, especially to our children.
🚩
Between 60 and death. It's time to use the money you saved up. Use it and enjoy it. Don't just keep it for those who may have no notion of the sacrifices you made to get it. Remember there is nothing more dangerous than a son or daughter-in-law with big ideas for your hard-earned capital.
🚩
Warning: This is also a bad time for investments, even if it seems wonderful or fool-proof. They only bring problems and worries. This is a time for you to enjoy some peace and quiet.
🚩
Stop worrying about the financial situation of your children and grandchildren, and don't feel bad spending your money on yourself. You've taken care of them for many years, and you've taught them what you could. You gave them an education, food, shelter, and support. The responsibility is now theirs to earn their own money.
🚩
Keep a healthy life, without great physical effort. Do moderate exercise (like walking every day), eat well, and get your sleep. It's easy to become sick, and it gets harder to remain healthy. That is why you need to keep yourself in good shape and be aware of your medical and physical needs. Keep in touch with your doctor, do tests even when you're feeling well. Stay informed.
🚩
Always buy the best, most beautiful items for your significant other. The key goal is to enjoy your money with your partner. One day one of you will miss the other, and the money will not provide any comfort then, enjoy it together.
🚩
Don't stress over the little things. You've already overcome so much in your life. You have good memories and bad ones, but the important thing is the present. Don't let the past drag you down and don't let the future frighten you. Feel good in the now. Small issues will soon be forgotten.
🚩
Regardless of age, always keep love alive. Love your partner, love life, love your family, love your neighbor and remember: "A man is not old as long as he has intelligence and affection."
🚩
Be proud, both inside and out. Don't stop going to your hair salon or barber, do your nails, go to the dermatologist and the dentist, keep your perfumes and creams well stocked. When you are well-maintained on the outside, it seeps in, making you feel proud and strong.
🚩
Don’t lose sight of fashion trends for your age, but keep your own sense of style. You’ve developed your own sense of what looks good on you – keep it and be proud of it. It’s part of who you are.
🚩
ALWAYS stay up-to-date. Read newspapers, watch the news. Go online and read what people are saying. Make sure you have an active email account and try to use some of those social networks. You'll be surprised at what old friends you'll meet.
🚩
Respect the younger generation and their opinions. They may not have the same ideas as you, but they are the future and will take the world in their direction. Give advice, not criticism, and try to remind them that yesterday's wisdom still applies today.
Never use the phrase: “In my time.” Your time is now. As long as you’re alive, you are part of this time.
🚩
Some people embrace their golden years, while others become bitter and surly. Life is too short to waste your days on the latter. Spend your time with positive, cheerful people, it'll rub off on you and your days will seem that much better. Spending your time with bitter people will make you feel older and harder to be around.
🚩
Do not surrender to the temptation of living with your children or grandchildren (if you have a financial choice, that is). Sure, being surrounded by family sounds great, but we all need our privacy. They need theirs and you need yours. Even then, do so only if you feel you really need the help or do not want to live by yourself
🚩
Don't abandon your hobbies. If you don't have any, make new ones. You can travel, hike, cook, read, dance. You can adopt a cat or a dog, grow a kitchen garden, play cards, checkers, chess, dominoes, golf.
🚩
Try to go. Get out of the house, meet people you haven't seen in a while, experience something new (or something old). The important thing is to leave the house from time to time. Go to museums, go walk through a park. Get out there.
🚩
Speak in courteous tones and try not to complain or criticize too much unless you really need to. Try to accept situations as they are.
🚩
Pains and discomfort go hand in hand with getting older. Try not to dwell on them but accept them as a part of life.
🚩
If you've been offended by someone – forgive them. If you've offended someone-apologize. Don't drag around resentment with you. It only serves to make you sad and bitter. It doesn't matter who was right. Someone once said: "Holding a grudge is like taking poison and expecting the other person to die." Don't take that poison. Forgive, forget, and move on with your life.
🚩
Laugh. Laugh away your worries Remember, you are one of the lucky ones. You managed to have a life, a long one. Many never get to this age, never get to experience a full life.
My valued friends, enjoy peaceful life at this point in your life ...
Don't worry... be happy.

Laus Deo
ATOP THE WASHINGTON MONUMENT, ARE DISPLAYED TWO WORDS:
Laus Deo
Just in case you may not have known…
One detail that is seldom mentioned is that in Washington, D.C. there can never be a building of greater height than the
Washington Monument. With all the uproar about removing the Ten Commandments, etc., this is worth a moment or two
of your time.
On the aluminum cap, atop the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C., are displayed two words: Laus Deo.
No one can see these words. In fact, most visitors to the monument are totally unaware they are even there and for that
matter, probably couldn't care less. Once you know Laus Deo's history, you will want to share this with everyone you know.
These words have been there for many years; they are 555 feet, 5.125 inches high, perched atop the monument, facing
skyward to the Father of our nation, overlooking the 69 square miles which comprise the District of Columbia, capital of
the United States of America.
Laus Deo! Two seemingly insignificant, unnoticed words. Out of sight and, one might think, out of mind, but very
meaningfully placed at the highest point over what is the most powerful city in the most successful nation in the world.
So, what do those two words, in Latin, composed of just four syllables and only seven letters, possibly mean? Very simply,
they say Praise be to God!
Though construction of this giant obelisk began in1848, when James Polk was President of the United States, it was not
until 1888 that the monument was inaugurated and opened to the public. It took twenty-five years to finally cap the
memorial with a tribute to the Father of our nation, Laus Deo, "Praise be to God!"
From atop this magnificent granite and marble structure, visitors may take in the beautiful panoramic view of the city with
its division into four major segments. From that vantage point, one can also easily see the original plan of the designer,
Pierre Charles L'Enfant ..... a perfect cross imposed upon the landscape, with the White House to the north, The Jefferson
Memorial is to the south, the Capitol to the east and the Lincoln Memorial to the west.
A cross you ask? Why a cross? What about separation of church and state? Yes, a cross; separation of church and state
was NOT, is NOT, in the Constitution.
So, read on.
How interesting and, no doubt, intended to carry a profound meaning for those who bother to notice.
When the cornerstone of the Washington Monument was laid on July 4th, 1848 deposited within it were many items
including the Holy Bible presented by the Bible Society. Praise be to God! Such was the discipline, the moral direction,
and the spiritual mood given by the founder and first President of our unique democracy 'One Nation, Under God.'
I am awed by George Washington's prayer for America .... Have you ever read it? Well, now is your unique opportunity, so
read on...
Almighty God; We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy holy protection; that Thou wilt
incline the hearts of the citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to government; and entertain a
brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow citizens of the United States at large.
And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love MERCY, and to demean
ourselves with that charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the characteristics of the Divine Author of our
blessed religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation.
Grant our supplication, we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen."
Laus Deo!
It is hoped you will send this to every sister, brother, father, mother or friend. They will not find it offensive because you
have given them a lesson in history that they probably never learned in school.
With that, be not ashamed or afraid, but have pity for those who will never see this because someone failed to share these words.

( The following article is a good read )

Daddy's Day

Oh yes. I have seen this many times and I'm always happy to see it time and time again. I also like to send it on to others because I know there are many just like me. (L.M.)

Sean Seòladair
August 23 at 10:21 AM ·

Her hair was up in a ponytail, her favorite dress tied with a bow.
Today was Daddy's Day at school, and she couldn't wait to go.
But her mommy tried to tell her, that she probably should stay home.
Why the kids might not understand, if she went to school alone.
But she was not afraid; she knew just what to say.
What to tell her classmates of why he wasn't there today.
But still her mother worried, for her to face this day alone.
And that was why once again, she tried to keep her daughter home.
But the little girl went to school eager to tell them all,
about a dad she never sees, a dad who never calls.
There were daddies along the wall in back, for everyone to meet.
Children squirming impatiently, anxious in their seats.
One by one the teacher called a student from the class,
to introduce their daddy, as seconds slowly passed.
At last the teacher called her name, every child turned to stare,
each of them was searching, a man who wasn't there.
'Where's her daddy at?' she heard a boy call out.
'She probably doesn't have one,' another student dared to shout.
And from somewhere near the back, she heard a daddy say,
'Looks like another deadbeat dad, too busy to waste his day.'
The words did not offend her, as she smiled up at her Mom,
and looked back at her teacher, who told her to go on.
And with hands behind her back, slowly she began to speak.
And out from the mouth of a child, came words incredibly unique.
'My Daddy couldn't be here, because he lives so far away.
But I know he wishes he could be, since this is such a special day.
And though you cannot meet him, I wanted you to know,
all about my daddy, and how much he loves me so.
He loved to tell me stories, he taught me to ride my bike,
and he surprised me with pink roses, and taught me to fly a kite.
We used to share fudge sundaes, and ice cream in a cone,
and though you cannot see him, I'm not standing here alone.
'Cause my daddy's always with me, even though we are apart,
I know because he told me, he'll forever be in my heart.
‘With that, her little hand reached up, and lay across her chest,
feeling her own heartbeat, beneath her favorite dress.
And from somewhere here in the crowd of dads, her mother stood in tears,
proudly watching her daughter, who was wise beyond her years.
She stood up for the love of a man not in her life,
doing what was best for her, doing what was right.
And when she dropped her hand back down, staring straight into the crowd,
she finished with a voice so soft, but its message clear and loud.
'I love my daddy very much, he's my shining star,
and if he could, he'd be here, but heaven's just too far.
You see he is a soldier and died just this past year,
when a roadside bomb hit his convoy and taught the world to fear.
But sometimes when I close my eyes, it's like he never went away.'
And then she closed her eyes, and saw him there that day.
And to her mother’s amazement, she witnessed with surprise.
A room full of daddies and children, all starting to close their eyes.
Who knows what they saw before them, who knows what they felt inside.
Perhaps for merely a second, they saw him at her side.
'I know you're with me Daddy,' to the silence she called out.
And what happened next made believers, of those once filled with doubt.
Not one in that room could explain it, for each of their eyes had been closed.
But there on the desk beside her, was a fragrant long-stemmed rose.
And a child was blessed, if only for a moment, by the love of her shining star.
And given the gift of believing, that heaven is never too far.
I think this would be wonderful if Priests, Ministers, Rabbi's, Preachers, Elders and others would read it from the pulpit or use it as inspiration for a service.
But that's just me.

"The Bible is a very human book. It was written, assembled, copied and translated by people
of different languages, and words with different meanings through differences of language interpretations.

That explains the flaws, the contradictions, and the theological disagreements in its pages.
Once that is understood, it is possible to find out which parts of the Bible were not in the earliest
Greek manuscripts, which are the bad translations, and what one book says in comparison to another,
and then try to discern the message for yourself.
It being ludicrous of any one individual to make claim of knowing precisely a correct first intended
historical dialog presented from another world apart of the present world we live in, being inconceivable
to fully grasp. Aggressive, disrespectful, and prideful attitudes and behavior destroy Christian unity,
and therefore the adversary being the only beneficiary.
And, this one statement I find to be of a profound soundness, put forth by a highly respected and wise man,
that touched the lives of thousands around the world........

"There are no political, economic, 'religious' or military solutions to what is primarily a spiritual problem in the world today."
And, each shall be left with their own conclusion...ponder this carefully, and it being possible to understand
how and why we are living in a restless and
dysfunctional time of it all."

"Pertaining to a thread concerning 'anger'......perhaps this link should be thoroughly digested:
https://christianchat.com/threads/this-side-of-the-glass.182929/post-4656350

"And, please be reminded of this thread heading.
I have took the time to read through many words put forth by those 'discussing' a subject of anger.
It is conceivable a person with an abnormal higher IQ is prone to question the authentication of
any given controversial subject, and the Bible being just that.
And, often one with this IQ thing, may feel alone and 'misplaced' within a socialized setting, and
often mistaken as arrogant and confrontational, as their thought process being on a totally different level,
and it is not unusual, just not understood by a lesser IQ.
( be reminded, a personal experience with this type of person
is not always easy, and requires self-control not to be disrespectful with them.....believe it! )

With this 'said'...I am impressed with many of the 'words and thoughts' ...that an 'individual' has clearly expressed,
and being obvious, it is not something copied and pasted...but a clear soundness of their reality, and not
of clueless fantasizing, and yes...there are those, I do believe.
I believe those on a different 'level' of soundness shall find their 'niche' ...and to know they may be precisely
where they are meant to be.
And, perhaps only God knows...who knows."
And, I thank this 'individual' for being the 'individual' they are."
