Just thought I would throw that out there, my chauvinistic, male, egotistical twist on PH.d Gray's bestselling book, 'Men are from Mars and women are from Venus.' Of course, I'm kidding , ladies, I mean all guys us know you way farther off thinking different than us than Venus, you from Pluto. :)

Ok, kidding. Kidding. Us guys, weird see, like Martians. :) so, but, REALLY, man, woman, what? God made them for companionship, as equals, , so, why so different? Even as being christian, what gets in the way of just hooking up and living happily ever after in the worldml God has planned for both as one?

Be serious or have fun, but be KIND, please.

Men have strengths and weaknesses that women don't. Women have strengths and weaknesses that men don't. It's intentional.

When GOD (not man) selects the two that He created to fit together perfectly, it's a bond that can't be broken.

Men are like wafflles Women are like spaghetti. With men everything is compartmentalized for the specfiic task or thought we are dealing with at any given moment. Contrary to popular belief (among women), we are capable of thinking NOTHING. We can just shut down. That is why it is hard sometimes for us to deal with emotions and trauma.We perform beautifully but once we are done "doing" we have a hard time. We guys put a little syrup in every segment of a waffle and contain it there.For example, when a father loses a child it overwhelms us because theres too much syrup and it won't stay in its box. It floods the whole waffle. With women everything is interconnected and the strands all touch one another.
Women are great at multi tasking. Guys we do one thing do it well and move on. We get sent to the store for milk or (shudders) feminine hygeine products, we can be relied on to go to the store pick up the milk or feminine hygeine products, and return home having completed the 6.5 mile round trip and accomplished ONE thing. Women, on the other hand, can travel the same 6.5 miles p/u the dry cleaniung, deliver the neighbors kids, saved thier gf's marriage on the phone, en route, plan and pick up the groceries for a full dinner. They are AMAZING.
Another difference, is men are report oriented as opposed to relaational orientated. We see someone we haven't talked to in weeks we are like, so where you working, what kind of car you driving etc, like no time at all has passed. Women act like well they gush. How are the kids, whats the latest reci[pe, how are you feeling, how have you been? Now these are generalities not ALL women and not ALL men are like this. Another thing is women worry constantly about a million different things. Us guys, am I right, would be overwhelmed thinking about so many different things at once we'd go into overload and have to return to our safe nothing square to process things. Some of the above comments I heard on a radio propgram about this topic so are not original with me.

Wow, gentleBob, I like that stuff said, so much my green brain went to information overload. Just 'bout preetineer exPLODED :D. 'Report oriented, (men)' vs 'relational oriented (women)' and a sort of 'nothing' thinking (men) vs lot of things thinking and doing (women) .

---- I agree with julieannie's wisdomic words too. We sexes complement each other in our nothingness and (alot)edness and together God makes us the perfect interacting whole. This speaks of marriage but also of non-marriage everday doing and getting along with the opposite sex. And, if you are single NOW and longing, yearning for God to put a girl/guy in your life NOW, don't do that. Put your FOCUS on God, talking in things as He wants you to take in and, I KNOW too that God can provide all things and will keep you fully whole as a single unless/until He one day thinks of someone just RIGHT for you. Nothing will go wrong by just focusing on Him, remember, too, the Israelites complained to God (Exodus 17) and God called that complaining..... 'sin.'

TDWP: I know it can be very important to understand the differences between men and women, especially in a relationship, but some people can get a little TOO "educated" for their own good. Aside from the fact that social norms can vary based on a number of factors (economic, ethnic, societal, even the order into which you're born in a family), very few humans of either sex are "cookie cutter" material.

That said, it's important to understand that "nothing" to a man probably doesn't mean "nothing" to a woman. :)

Yeah we're obviously quite different. Adam needed a helper. God didn't make another dude. He made a sexy lady.

Anyway, when I got married someone gave me a book about the Five Love Languages. Apparently it's some big thing so you may have heard of it. I hadn't.

I thought it was ridiculously corny when we first opened it up, but it's actually been quite helpful! I'm a verbal person and my husband is all physical. I'm glad we figured that out because I was becoming rather annoyed by the endless cuddling. He was also starting to resent my annoyance by his cuddling. I didn't feel loved and therefore didn't want to cuddle. But his cuddles were how he was saying he loves me! Now he knows he has to use his words and I know that when I physically push him away, it really hurts him emotionally. We both have to step out of our comfort zone to express our feelings to each other. It's been a really good experience and has made me view all of my personal relationships differently.

Women actually have 20% better sense of hearing and smell than men.

Men's bodies are geared to build muscle much faster and easier than women's bodies.

Women are designed to be nurturers and their heightened senses help them sense danger when it is still far off so that they can get their children to a safe place and alert the man who will defend them from it.

Men are designed to be hunters. They are able to focus like daggers on their prey and not be distracted by other thoughts. They have more muscle mass so they can overcome their prey and adversaries and protect their families from wild beasts and door-to-door salesmen.

The nurturing nature of women is why a lot of them go into teaching and nursing.
The hunter/warrior/defender side of men is why a lot of them want to become firefighters or policemen (policemen get to hunt down their suspects).

You should read my OTHER posts where I AM putting out original thoughts. LOL Get the book of the same name "men are like waffles women are like spaghetti" it is co-written by a male and female so it is balanced and has input from both perspectives.

Remember the movie "What Women Want" with Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt? One of my favorite romantic comedies, btw. For those of you not familar with it Mel Gibson plays this male chauvanist who has an accident involving electricity and when he comes to after the shock he finds he can hear womens thoughts. I'd love to have that gift, so I can better understand women. Anyway first thing he finds out is most women think hes a schmuck. He wants to get rid of this gift and goes to see a psychiatrist(a lady psychiatrist) and after he proves to her he is not crazy that he really can hear womens thoughts she makes this comment "Freud died still wondering one thing, What do Women Want" I don't have a single female client who doesn't wish her boyfriend or husband didn't understand her better." She went on to say "Why would you want to get rid of such a wonderful gift?" If men are from Mars and Women are from Venus and you speak Venusian you could rule the world" I'm not sure about that last part(ruling) however it would make things so much easier. As it is such things are veiled from us. Fortunately most women are pretty good sports and they give us leniency in thier dealings with us.
