a call to return to the faith that was once delivered to the Saints.
How are you understanding the phrase "ONCE DELIVERED unto"?... and how do you see the following passage (Jesus spoke just prior to His going to the Cross)?

John 16 -

12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all the truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

[1Cor2:10,12,16b--which refers to those things recorded in Scripture following His death and resurrection; Col1:25 "to complete the word of God"... which... had been "hidden" (past) and was "now made manifest to His saints"; see also 1Cor2:8(<--SOME THINGS it was necessary to keep HIDDEN prior to His DEATH on the Cross)]

i know this, they have hardened their hearts - but some will hear and some will be encouraged and strengthened.

Noah preached for 100 years and yet only eight souls were saved.
Isaiah cried out - " Lord, who has believed our report" - yet God told him to preach and not hold back.
Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant will be saved.

To each of us He departs gifts of His Holy Spirit and burdens of the Spirit on our hearts - things that are not pleasing to Him.
It is a easy path to be accepted - just conform and agree.
But the Lord said that His words will cause separation - Peace to those who love it and animosity to those who reject it.
When the Apostles declared the Gospel it was first met with great joy until the religious leaders got wind of it, then the hostility.
By the time Acts 20 came around Paul said after he departs the church will be assaulted by religious men - wolves, false doctrines.

Right now there is call being made to His Body - a call to repentance - a call to return to the faith that was once delivered to the Saints.

The Faith is only found in Christ - in His Word - just as Martin Luther discovered in his day.

God is calling His People back to His Word and His Word alone -
Deuteronomy 4 - Hear now, O Israel, the statutes and ordinances I am teaching you to follow, so that you may live and may enter and take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your fathers, is giving you. You must not add to or subtract from what I command you,

Proverbs 30: 5-6
Every word of God is flawless;
He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.
Do not add to His words,
lest He rebuke you and prove you a liar.

Revelation 22
I testify to everyone who hears the words of prophecy in this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and the holy city, which are described in this book.

Thus says the LORD: “Heaven is My throne, And earth is My footstool. Where is the house that you will build Me? And where is the place of My rest?
For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
Isaiah 66: 1-2
Okay. But don't say I didn't warn you. :)

Let your peace return to you, dust off your feet, and move on.

As you were, brother.

I did read that post (your Post #936)... that's where I got your quote from... But it's not helping me grasp your understanding of the phrase "the faith ONCE DELIVERED unto the saints" (what does the "once delivered" mean, as to how you understand that?)

So let them mock and scoff. God is not Allah who needs his followers to defend his honor. Let God be God and every man be a liar. It's YOUR time they are consuming, don't be a part of the scheme. They won't hear you any way.
Dear Sir/Madame

WE are not the persons doing the scoffing and mocking. Look in the mirror.
It's becoming more and more shrill and outrageous in fact.

What's worse...the pre-trib crowd is knocking it out of the park. You are on the losing team I'm afraid.

interesting position do you think?

What some are not seeing is imho, that the earth of God and the great tribulation can happen at the same time. WE see God's wrath in the book of Revelation.

Is the devil opening the scrolls or Christ? Who breaking the seals the devil of God? who is pouring out the bowls and whose trumpets are sounding the devils?

what happens when they are poured, opened, and blown? where is those event happening at? and Who are they happening to?
Don't confuse 'Judgment' and 'Wrath'.

The Seals, Trumpets, and Vials all represent 'Judgment', but not all represent 'Wrath'.

Learn to see the 'events' of the End Times Scenario as events.

The 'Wrath of God', for example, is an 'event' - having a starting point in time and an ending point in time.

A careful examination of scripture will reveal that the 'Great Tribulation' (also an 'event' - scripture tells us when it starts and when it ends - relative to other 'events') ends before the 'Wrath of God' begins.

There is no overlap.

In fact, there are 'events' between the two:

Great Tribulation (ends)
Two Witnesses / Trumpet Events
Jesus appears (Second Coming)
Resurrection & Rapture
Wrath of God "poured out" on wicked

It is very straight-forward and easy to see - IF you look at the order of 'events' based on these criteria:

~ What happens before what?

~ What happens after what?

~ What happens at the same time as what?

it is not a lie, to you it may be But to many it is promised from the Lord.
The Lord promised that we would rest with Him after our work on earth is done. He did not promise that we would have an "easy escape" path to get there...

'tribulation' - yes
'wrath' - no

'tribulation' is not 'wrath'

They are not the same.

They do not occur at the same time.

my assertion is not logical but i think the seals are the start of sin.I know the percent thing in Revelation is not right or there would be know one left. And i know god throws 60 pond rocks at people,,,and they cuss him because of pain not sure that's in the same context

As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, - 1 Peter 2:2

God's Word produces life giving nourishment just as a mother nourishes her young child.

pre-trib is like chocolate milk - you can milk a billion cows but you will only get pure milk
only when you add the chocolate to the milk can you have chocolate milk
and only when you add to scripture what it does not say can you have pre-trib

chocolate milk taste great - pre-trib will sour you

[Matthew 24:40 KJV] Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

[Luke 17:34 KJV] I tell you, in that night there shall be two [men] in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

[Revelation 3:10 KJV] Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of testing, which shall happen to all the world, to test them that dwell upon the earth.

Question: The ones who are taken - Taken where?

ANSWER: Luke 17
Two women will be grinding grain together: One will be taken and the other left.”
“Where, Lord?” they asked.

Jesus answered, “Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.”

i could say wisdom is not found in the land of the living, or that Jesus is the first beggotten of the dead.that you must die to self or the fountain of youth is in Asia Because Jesus is the 8th of the 7 churches. But i'm not sure about context.
