I'm a female whose been through pregnancy........
hence the use of the word "us".

I thought I didn't have to be politically correct in this thread?;)
okay, I'll play along.

"Isn't it funny the way pregnancy hormones affect a woman's body and what she craves/dislikes during those 9ish months?"

oh phoey! SEE! That just doesn't flow in the conversation very well

Hi y’all…

umm…. So I have so bad news.

i tested positive today for Covid, yes I am fully vaccinated but I still got it.

the whole family including my littles have been tested As well and thankfully are negative. I work in healthcare so I guess it was bound to happen.

But here is the thing, out if my immediate family, I’m the only one who got the Pfizer. Everyone else got Moderna.
So I started feeling like crap on Saturday and went to work Monday (more like forced myself) and went to get checked out this morning and it’s positive. So now I’m off work till next weeK, BUT… I won’t get paid cause I don’t have enough PTO hours to cover. so… there’s that.

so anyway, prayers appreciated and I’m sure I’ll be on here more this week… since there’s not a whole lot to do while not at work and tryin to distance myself from the littles as much as I possibly can. 😔

Great to hear from you, sorry about the news. Quinine from grapefruit skins is a help, can you get Hydroxychloroquine or Ivermectin?

Yes. And nothing will do except what we want to eat. Just weird to like foods during that time and not at all afterwards.
For 2 out of my 3 I was craving certain stuff that I NEVER like any other time, but EVERY TIME we went to the restaurant they were all out. Go figure.

Have you ever gotten creative trying to make what you were craving?? That was weird too, but then I wanted what I wanted even more. And smells of stuff changed etc etc...weird and interesting. Kinda funny.

We lived about a block away from a famous local burger joint. I had never been to it but everyone was always talking bout how wonderful it was and how lucky we were to be right there and could walk to it, etc. One day during baby 2 I was walking by, got a big whiff of it and almost ! It had NEVER bothered me before, but every since I can't stand the smell of it.
Actually, come to think of it, it was a reaction to another never before been bothered by smell that told me baby 2 was in there........
special stick confirmed the following day.
