Looking at the Greek you provided, the word "of" is not included in the text ... and the word "in" does appear in the text:

I know, but an "in" is in the part of the verse that says "by faith in Christ". So, if an "in" was intended, it would be there. And while I'm not an expert in Greek, I have observed the same thing in many other places in the Bible, so I think "of" is an
appropriate interpretation. See below

Plus, if we ponder it, we can see the only thing that "faith Christ" could mean is Christ's faith - a faith that is of Christ.

It seems that if we want to be pardoned, we must confess our iniquities and look to Jesus who covers all our sin. We should go to the heavenly Father and cry for that gracious forgiveness that is given to all who believe in Jesus. It is the free gift of God in Christ Jesus. It is God’s grace. We can see clearly in verse 5 that forgiveness followed on the heels of David’s confession because Christ’s atonement had already taken place for eternity.

I agree, the Spirit is what enables us to walk in righteousness and obey the Lord.
That is why Paul said we are to walk according to the Spirit rather than walking according to the flesh.
Here are our two choices as born again Christians —
Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. Romans 8:12-14
One choice leads to eternal life, while the other choice leads to eternal death.

I don't see it as a choice but rather a warning. However, I think only the saved of God can, or will, make the appropriate choices,
which choices, are made based upoon the warnings of the Bible. The unsaved do not and have no concern or desire to follow them because they don't perceive the Bible as the word of God. When the Elect become born-again (by God) they are given a renewed mind (by the Holy Spirit), and all of that changes.
