If you guys don't mind, please say a prayer for me. I've been under a lot of stress lately and just a little while ago some idiot in a fancy car with racing stickers on it veered onto my side of the road and almost hit me. I had to slam on my brakes and all the stuff in my carry bag fell out onto the floor. I got so angry I turned around and caught up with him at a stop and I yelled at him for what he did. He just looked at me with no expression on his face like he really didn't care. I parked at a nearby shopping center to calm down. I'm ok now, but I really feel like God has been testing me lately. Please pray for me if you could. Thanks.

I had that happen to me. Except the guy cut me off. I chased to him his house. As he got out of the car I said, "Hey you cut me off!" He said, "Oh, Don't be a crab." I started laughing because the way he said it. I drove actually happy. That was 36 years ago.
A couple years ago I went across a busy street on my bicycle an a truck was coming. I had plenty of time however He didn't think I did. When he went buy he yelled at me and said, "Your stupid." I replied, "I know." What I have used as guide is not to let no one define who I am by their actions. We are at war and we cant give an inch to the adversary. Praying for you.

Wow that is very similar to what happened. Thank you so much for sharing it. I questioned God about this because I felt traumatized and still do a little, and I believe God answered through a video I clicked on that said sometimes God's plan involves putting us into the fire like the three young men in the bible who were thrown into the fiery furnace but came out unscathed. It also said that Jesus was with them in that furnace, so Jesus will be with us when we go through the fire.

Thank you and God bless.

Your Most Welcome.

Here's a quote I have posted before.
In life we are thrown into the furnace of inequity.
Some come out burnt and bitter.
And some come out refined as gold.

You bet Jesus is with us always and no matter what we do He is always there with a outstretched hand. It is us who turn away because of our guilt in sin. But how many times are we to forgive 7 x 7 ? Meaning His Love for us is unconditional. So His forgiveness is endless.

Gods Blessings

Blessed to pray for you Brother.

In Service Sunday, we had a Lady who wanted prayer because she felt so "under attack" from the deceiver, and could not understand why. I told her something I realized a long time ago, and, maybe it will help you.

You know when you are walking in Gods grace because the deceiver will attack you relentlessly. IF you were not walking in Gods grace, the deceiver wouldn't bother with you. Why should he? He already has you.

Jesus spoke of the servant not being greater than the Master.....and that if they had done things to Him, they would do things to us, and much worse. He ALSO promised that he would never leave or forsake us.

As for being angry; Scripture says "be angry, but do not sin"

God be with you and yours

“And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”

Luke 11:9 (KJV)

IMO, so very many people do not realize/experience the Truth of this statement by Jesus because they do not truly believe it will happen. I have been guilty of this on occasion, but, on other occasions, I have said a prayer for some thing and when it came to pass, I just praised God for answering my prayer. I have learned that being specific is important..... :)

A simple example:

Last month I was going fishing at the Lake, and on the drive down, I prayed that God would give us a good day fishing, and we would catch some fish. You may think this is an odd thing to pray for, but why? Anyway, the point was, the day was really nice, even though the temperature was in the low 90's, we had some clouds and a nice breeze to make it enjoyable. We also caught a bucket full of Bream, Striper and Shellcracker, and a Catfish or two. The "specific" part comes because the fishies we caught were SMALL! I didn't specify I wanted to land HUGE fishies.......... :)

So yesterday was bread Experiment day and today we officially begin working on Christmas. (Recipes were already posted in the appropriate forum)
With leather crafts...

I got some neatsfoot oil yesterday to test out along with a nice large shoulder of 4oz veg tanned leather. So I'm looking for a good and homogeneous dye job of light brown...
(I'm making some nice leather journals)
Everything is coming out darker than I really want but the best without streaks so far is dipping the leather. Dabbing came really close though. (I blended dye with the oil and set up several pieces of scrap to test it out)

I got the filler paper in for the two journals and might make a third.

These will be the very top shelf stuff by the time all is said and done. Nothing kitchy about these...no need for your initials either or some stupid piece of metal to make them unique...they already will be because I will line them with cloth and hand stitch them. There will be no mass produced look-alikes.
I've made my wife one before for her mini composition books and she loves it...
The neatsfoot oil will protect them and allow them to last for decades from things like coffee, soda and juice.

The lining will make them unique and add a bit of elegance and customization that's beyond the common. Between using veg tanned leather and the lining... looking at a $350 retail tag at a minimum... probably more. Especially since the finishing details are going to take forever. Obviously not something that you can pick up at office max or staples. I hope that these people like them.
