the law of Moses is for people who operate by their flesh. The gospel is about circumcision of the flesh and teaching the spirit

“Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:27-28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

which commandment is meant for the heart ? To be written on the heart ?

remember this aspect of Paul’s doctrine

“Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:9-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it’s really simple the Old Testament is for the old man whomis corrupt and. Reds to be told what not to do because his heart is corrupt

the New Testament is about being born again of the spirit so the command goes from speaking to the corrupt flesh saying “ don’t commit adultery or you must be put to death “ to instructing us of The heart and spirit

one doctrine has power to do this

“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the other doctrine has power to do this

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭1:16-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the world is still Under the law because they have not come into the gospel and hears and learned of the spiritual things that free us they are of the flesh . We aren’t of the flesh doctrine that tells us we’re sinners and condemned and guilty we’re those who have already died to the flesh and are being raised up by the spirit in the gospel.

if we follow Christs doctrine like the example of adultery of heart and rod our minds and hearts of lust we’re following the spiritual doctrine , if we live by the command “ dont commit adultery “ we’re trying to live by the flesh doctrine. There’s an Old Testament for the old
Corrupt man that’s the law of Moses

“Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭1:9-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that doctrine can’t help us be born again and if we’re born again we need a law that speaks to the new man being created in Christs image with the Holy Ghost dwelling in us , you don’t need to instruct the hilt spirit not to kill , lie , cheat and steal commit adultery ect if we need to be told what not to do by the flesh it’s because we haven’t come into the gospel that creates new people by faith

“And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Christs gospel can achieve That but the law is about living by the flesh and trying to not sin two different things it’s why we have two testaments one is of Christ the other came through Moses and the prophets and hold a hidden witness of Christ
The law of Moses defines sin for us (1 John 3:4, Romans 3:20).

Whether you are born again or not, you can know whether or not you've sinned by looking into the perfect law of liberty (the ten commandments) and seeing whether you've violated any of it.

1Jo 3:4, Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

1Co 15:34, Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

Eph 4:26, Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

We are obviously told here not to transgress the law as believers in Jesus Christ.

It is not that we are justified through keeping the law; it is that we obey the law because we are justified (see Ezekiel 36:25-27).

Just as we are not saved by works but are saved unto good works (Ephesians 2:8-10), so we are not saved by or through law-keeping but we are saved unto law-keeping.

i know what it is - i am asking you - i want to know what you think it is
I already mentioned it in this thread...and I don't feel like doing the work of making my case all over again. So, go to the beginning of the thread and read until you find my answer.

As Christians we live in the world, but we are not part of the world. Our orders come from Christ, and that is where our first loyalties lie. We obey the laws of the world unless they conflict with the laws of the kingdom we are citizens of--the kingdom of heaven.

(1 Jn. 2:16.) He said: “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Christ's entire prayer for us and his apostles in John 17 is about being in the world that is temporary but being a part of eternity.
Sister we belong completely to Christ Jesus we live in this world yes , but we walk by the spirit not the flesh . This requires us to walk by the law of the spirit which is the gospel .

the kingdom we belong to is not of the world

“Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”
‭‭John‬ ‭18:36-37‬ ‭KJV‬‬

so we have a word that’s not of this world

“He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.

For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:31-36‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the law can’t remove Gods wrath from us but the word to Christ does remove Gods wrath and promises eternal life.

Because we’re on the world doesn’t mean we follow the worlds law , we’re born again of the spirit d so we walk by the spirit and the spirit has a word , a law promised by Moses and the prophets

See this promise of a future law was given many hundreds of years after Moses law

Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.

My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭51:4-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s who Christ is even then he was saying “ when I come I’m going to give you a word , a law that you must Hearken to light you will walk in it will proceed from me “ he isn’t saying I will place you under the law of Moses but saying I will give a law a light again he promises

“Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.

Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the Lord thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.

Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:3-8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

but Christ has made his ways and thoughts known so we can know him

“And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Until Christ came the law was everything , but this is a real thing

“The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭16:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we’re called to Walk in Christs light because he gave his life to purchase us from sin and death to
Place ourselves under a law again that accuses us and holds us guilty of sin is counter productive ot will always be an accusation that holds us guilty of sin and the gospel will always be about repentance and remission of our sins

We have this law of Moses

Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭31:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

And we have this advocate in Christ

“And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭24:44

That’s this promise again in the prophets for all nations

“And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.”
‭‭Micah‬ ‭4:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The gospel is our law and is so much better because it’s about spirit and has the power to do this

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That’s why Jesus is speaking about the inner things to give us discernement and wrote it on our hearts by faith as we hear and believe

but this is just what I myself believe and perceive others have to walk by thier faith , I believe the gospel is our way truth and life the law is great if we understand how to use it and see it . If we look back through the gospel we can see it’s witness and teachings of Christ but we have to see it’s not our law to hear it’s witness of Christ

but I wasn’t meaning to conflict with you or others I actually thought Thy op was headed in a different direction and meant to offer some support for what he had said about the law

Just as we are not saved by works but are saved unto good works (Ephesians 2:8-10), so we are not saved by or through law-keeping but we are saved unto law-keeping.
it’s not our doctrine brother

“But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses. And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭15:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This was thier conclusion

“Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:

…For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭15:24, 28-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

of all the law those four suggestions are all the apostles took of the law and sent to the church. And most of those we don’t deal with in our world anymore we should t drink blood , eat meat that is offered to idols , not eat a strangled animal , and of course the New Testament teaches us to not partake of fornication already.

The law and the prophets were until John:

since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭16:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we’re meant to be free of Moses law and follow The things of the gospel inch will make us right and it won’t be us by our Will trying to fight flesh against flesh trying to be something holy when we aren’t , the gospel will
Make our hearts right and our actions will fall in line the result being righteousness by faith not by our will or works but by believing the right word

it simply isn’t our doctrine it has a lot of value when you look at it through the gospel you can start seeing the law was foretellings and promising Jesus Christ who would come and speak his law when the time has come

Which brings us to here , to begin hearing Gods word in truth

“Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

notice why the Jews hated Jesus so much ? They thought we already have the law why do we need to listen to this guy telling us all this dofferent stuff ? They were blinded by the law of Moses not realizing they had asked not to hear Gods word as soon as he began to speak in those days they begged not to hear Gods word and he abliged them and oro
Used to send the messiah in the future to speak his word and then he came forth as he always promised speaking the gospel and truth of his everlasting kingdom saying “ believe and be saved and have eternal life be the children of God “ thkngs Moses never came close to saying

I think some fall Into this category who won’t yet allow the gospel to take the place of Moses law

“And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:

But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:13-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

So like israel who received the law and became offended when Stephen explained the law was ordained of angels , sent through Moses the mediator and isn’t the same as the gospel which is of God , spoken through God and atoned for by the blood of Christ himself . They can’t understand Christ fulfilled the requirements of the law and took it away to offer a better and more effective testament that frees us from sins power in us

“For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭7:21-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

so they can’t distinguish the flesh of the old commandment without spirit written on stone and ministering death to the hearers , from the spirit and the spiritual command that circumcises those issues from our heart and sets us free from the flesh and sins law within the flesh that is the devils snare and keeps men bound

“Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: ( that’s something you tell someone who’s filled with list constantly y struggling with that desire and has an eye for sexual fantasy and imagination )

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:27-28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

what Jesus said is a commandment to our heart and spirit that if we let it in d follow his word and rod oirselves of list makes us free from that which makes us unclean. And we don’t ever need to hear “ don’t commit adultery “ because Christ has made us right inside and we don’t allow those thoughts and desires to dwell In us and take root we’ve been made free from adultery and it’s reigns on the flesh

same with hate , unforgiveness , greed and love of money , vanity , pride ect the gospel teaches us what our new spirit needs to know and follow , the law teaches us not to do what we want to do by the flesh

I’d saying the falling away would be somewhere here in my own opinion

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3:1

which sadly describes a lot of the church because the gospel is being misrepresented by many but Thy a The only my own thinking I think we fall away spiritually and let our love take the form of the world rather than what the gospel shapes us to be
Of course, the Lord Jesus, in the Sermon on the Mount, brought the law home to the heart on so many levels.

I assume that you are saying that you are born again and that because of this, you never have any kind of struggle with lust.

Because if you do, then it is the law as Jesus re-defined it that gives you the knowledge of your sin and convicts you as a sinner.

You would find yourself singing the song that is sung by D.C. Talk..."What's going on inside of me? I despise my own behaviour...this only serves to confirm my suspicion...that I'm still a man in need of a Saviour."

Heb 10:18, And when sins have been forgiven, there is no need to offer any more sacrifices.

Or, as I have re-interpreted it in my kjv in light of the NLT's rendering...

Heb 10:18, Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin (it is no longer necessary).

The point being that, if you are saved, you don't need for Jesus to save you again, for He has already done the work in you.

So, if you are still a man in need of a Saviour, it should be evident to you that you are still a man in need of salvation.

Tit 3:3, For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
Tit 3:4, But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
Tit 3:5, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Tit 3:6, Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
Tit 3:7, That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Titus 3:3 exemplifies the law as concerning the definition of what it means to still be a sinner. There is no power in it to save you...but it will reveal to you the fact that you are a sinner in need of a Saviour and as such, it has the power to convert your soul (Psalms 19:7).

The law is a schoolmaster to lead you to Christ (Galatians 3:24). As long as it shows you that you are a sinner in need of a Saviour / salvation (Romans 3:20), it is revealing to you that you have not yet been born again. It is the general disposition of those who are born of God that they "do not" and "cannot" sin (1 John 3:9)...take that as you like to take it. For it may in fact be hyperbole...exaggeration to make a point...however I would say that the point that it is making is that if anyone is truly born again their life is going to change. As it is written,

Pro 4:18, But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

The law, therefore, is the plumb line by which we measure whether or not we are really and truly born again.

Consider.

2Co 13:5, Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

i asked you these questions because, if you have been following the threads on pre-trib, it is leading to another gospel.
In fact, there is a heresy now going around and on this forum preaching "Two Different gospels".
Because pre-trib rapture never came out of the Mouth of God or from the Apostles, it has to change so many scriptures and clear instructions of the Word that it becomes a 'revised gospel' and in essence a false christ.
which says to me, departs from the truth and is no longer abiding in His Words
Having a form of godliness but denying the power.....
yes I’ve noticed that I’ve been seeing it for a long while not only here but in the church. That’s what I was talking to you about a week ago about that doctrine I dispose so much “ another gospel” it’s really an omission of the truth and label it another gospel . I had to part from those talks because I get rather carnal and angry orb the continual circles and omissions .

and Yes that’s what I was saying they have the same gospel before them but they seem to be of this is group d it holds no power to change thoer sins to righteousness denying the word that accomplishes that through hearing and believing

“And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:19-21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the light is what was promised in the judgement of Christ

Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.

My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭51:4-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we can step into the light and hear the gospel and it will bring to light repentance for us in a gentle and loving way l the whole there is a promise that if we continue in his word we will never be condemned even if we fail we can walk by forgiving and being forgiven mercy for the merciful as we pursue his word he will never turn us back but if we refuse his word we’re condemning our own selves

“He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”
‭‭John‬ ‭12:48-50‬ ‭

that second gospel is rooted in men like Paul Ellis teaching people that stuff . There are Many so it’s not just him but tbier message is the same “ Jesus words aren’t really for you you need to rightly divide his word out of the gospel , grace grace nothing else to hear or see here it becomes like this really

This is the evil that they are committing and they scoff and mock at His Word: Deut 4:1-2, Proverbs 30:5-6, Revelation 22:18-19

Their idol is more important to them then the Truth.

Of course the Judaizers were teaching that Gentile believers needed to be circumcised and keep the law of Moses in order to be saved.

But it should be clear that we will be blessed if we look into the perfect law of liberty and continue in it (James 1:25).

That the law of liberty is the ten commandments is evident in that included in it are the commands of "Thou shalt not kill" and "Thou shalt not commit adultery" (James 2:10-12).

See also Hebrews 8:8-10, Hebrews 10:16, Romans 8:7, Romans 8:4, 1 John 5:3, 2 John 1:6, Romans 13:8-10; 1 John 2:3-6; Romans 5:5.

All of these scriptures show the importance of keeping the law under the New Covenant; not as our justification; but with the motivation that is given to us in Philemon 1:6 and other passages; because we are born again rather than in order to obtain our salvation in the first place.

1 John 3:4,9 also tells us that we will be obedient to the law if we are truly born again; and it is not that we keep the law in order to procure our salvation; but that rather because we are truly born again, we are obedient to the law (we "do not" and "cannot" sin).

Sorry. I'm not trusting some of what I am reading, and it feels odd. I say this as I am sitting down to eat some Digorno Pizza and drink some Diet Coke. I would rather it was Beer. Perhaps I will figure it all out eventually.

yes I’ve noticed that I’ve been seeing it for a long while not only here but in the church.

Eze 14:14, Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.

Eze 14:20, Though Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall but deliver their own souls by their righteousness.

Tit 3:4, But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
Tit 3:5, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Tit 3:6, Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
yeah you shouldn’t assume I’m simply saying we are disciples of Christ not moses . Christ is able to bring repentance Moses isn’t this will never help a Christian

“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

there’s no life or help or repentance in the law of Moses that’s why the apostles said it’s not what they said to teach clearly the apostles all gathered to ask the question and all decided nope it’s not for the church .

The gospel is what offers us discernment the law imputes sin . To walk in Christs word will not allow us to abide in sin , Moses law is a constant reminder of sin . The gospel offers a better testament that gives life the law only condemns and brings death and eventually that person has to come to the messiah and his word anyways in order to be saved

but no your assumption is way off , I’m saying the gospel is the way to overcome temptation and sin because it actually deals with the root of it in the heart and doesn’t constantly impute sin on you it teaches us how to be free and overcomes not slaves under bondage to sin trying to please God

the gospel offers life the law cannot offer and doesn’t offer and a name also that can’t be equalled the law is the power of sin to overcome us

“The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:56‬ ‭KJV‬‬

because it doesn’t deal with the issue

“For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭7:21-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

instead the law speaks to those hearts saying “ don’t do what’s in your heart to do or you will die “ the gospel of accepted and believed cleanses those thk nt s from the heart and the result is this

“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

With a clean heart and new spirit it should be our new nature to walk in the light of Christs word not like the law where we have rules set out before us and work to not break any commandment telling us what we better not do instead he’s teaching us how to live in a real relationship with God where there isn’t a devouring fire between us no dark cloud hiding God from us it’s just Jesus calling us to him like this

All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:27-30‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That’s our law not this

“For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

there are about 600 things one would need to continue constantly in doing under the law , I wouldn’t advise it but good luck of one chooses that

If you act as Berean (Acts 17:10-11) and do the research, I believe that you will.

what’s the point of those verses ? Noah lives before the law , job also before the law , Daniel lives after the covenant was broken ?

but there are a lot of people in the Bible who kept the law faultlessly the point is they all died and never rose because the life hadn’t come yet. Even Moses who gave the law was left to death because he transgressed one time just once .

the law was given by Moses, noah and job lives before that , Daniel was after the breaking of the covenant was decreed. But every one died the death because Christ hadn’t come with the gospel yet. Enoch ? Again there was no law when Enoch lived he walked by the spirit and called upon the name of the lord like Daniel did.

The law has the power to convert the soul (Psalms 19:7) as a schoolmaster to lead you to Christ (Galatians 3:24) in showing you that you are a sinner in need of a Saviour / salvation.

It would seem that Galatians 3:10 and James 1:25 contradict each other.

Until you realize that Galatians 3:10 is referring to those who are seeking to be justified through keeping the law (see Galatians 5:1-4);

While in James 1:25 the person is blessed for looking into the perfect law of liberty and obeying it because he has placed his full hope in what Christ did for him as pertains to his salvation; and his only motivation for obeying the law is that he desires to be blessed; as a blessing is promised in James 1:25 for those who know that they are justified by Christ and who then go about abiding in the moral tenets that are written in the Old and New Testaments.

For Jesus re-defined the law in Matthew 5-7; yet He also exalted it and said that if anyone obeys and teaches the least of the commandments found in the Old Testament, he will be counted great in the kingdom (Matthew 5:17-20).

This is the evil that they are committing and they scoff and mock at His Word: Deut 4:1-2, Proverbs 30:5-6, Revelation 22:18-19

Their idol is more important to them then the Truth.
yes but we just keep sharing the truth and let the lord work it all out . I reached a point where I mostly avoid those discussions with the ultra grace eraser crowd but it’s because I’m weak dealing with that I have no patience left for the same arguments I love finding people who are sharing scripture and learning scripture it’s much more edifying d I find a lot of learning in those types of discussions

this one actually is bringing out some good subject matter I hope no one gets angry and carnal
