wow havent people heard the phrase

Marry in haste, repent at leisure.

I suspect not... but its a well known maxim the world over. If it wasnt true people wouldnt keep quoting it.
From my own personal experience in my first marriage years ago I happen to agree with that maxim.

Christianchat.com is a good place to start.
It was for me. I met my future wife who is also a member on this site a couple months after I joined. We will be celebrating our 7th anniversary in November.

so obviously nobodies going to take my advice and start children really young on playdates from 5 years old and set them up to be engaged by the time they have to leave school.

They will also need to do the egg thing, though we NEVER did this at school, I have heard some teachers would teach 10 year olds they have to look after an egg for a whole week and not drop it. They have to carry it everywhere.

The ones that could do this would be fit parents but the ones who threw them at the teachers or dropped them... maybe not.
If they tried it with me I would probably have eaten the egg. Come on its an egg...food!

I think there are some amazing women out there despite each other of us having been hurt.
One thing that I learnt was that women simply see the world with different eyes and from different angles sometimes.
Doesn't mean we have to agree or change. But it does mean that we have to accept some of those differences without losing our integrity.
There is no more simple/complex, fascinating and interesting creation on this planet than woman.
But stop trying to rule her, she will follow u when u aim high for yourself.
My humble opinion for many emotion bruises and cuts .

Well... that depends.

From what I heard, time flies when you're having fun. FUN flies when you're doing time. =^.^=

(I may or may not have heard that from a guy who was married to an irascible woman, and who may or may not wish to remain anonymous...)

I didn't realise it was so quickly after you joined. How did you meet up in person?

First we started to write each other in CC through pm's and also my Midnight Confessions thread and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band thread. This went on for several months. Started talking on the phone. JesusLives only lived a 120 miles from me in Florida. We met half-way for an afternoon and later, of course, got married. I am sure that CC got a kick out of our posts to each other but after awhile certain members were getting irritated so we keep most things to ourselves. It was quite the CC love story.

I think the biggest damage to marriage is the flawed expectations of it. Dudes think I’m going to get some sex machine to clean my house and cook me dinner and totally support me in all ridiculous endeavours. Girls think (at least my delusions) this dude is going to cherish me in spite of all my flaws and worship me like the princess I believe myself to be. We will live comfortably with our perfect children that he will coach and raise to be perfect. All of them will show me nothing but love and respect even if I make no sense and have emotional breakdowns when things don’t go my way. We will vacation twice a year and our family photos will show no signs of dysfunction because we will be ideal in every way! Both of these illusions are destroyed on the wedding night when she falls asleep before sex exhausted from the day and he left his clothes on the floor and stunk up the bathroom.
