What this is, I believe, is a counterfeit of the Holy Spirit's falling on certain people in Acts. It's not the real thing, but millions of people have been deceived into believing it is.

A timely video on the Holy Spirit just released. Among others is Myles Munroe; the same Myles Munroe who told Benny Hinn in an interview that the Holy Spirit can't function legally on earth because He doesn't have a body; and that God must have our permission before He can do anything on earth.

I found this video that looks like it must be Jesus Conference 2016. It's a panel discussion with Lou Engle, Bill Johnson and Benny Hinn. Hinn monopolizes most of it. This is the most revealing I've ever seen him as far as creating the right atmosphere in his meetings. He mentions "Kathryn," which is Kathryn Kuhlman, the "last youth generation" false prophetess. Hinn believes he has acquired her "anointing" by visiting her grave. Apparently, close proximity to the deceased can facilitate the transference of the desired anointing.

It's clear from listening to him that his meetings are staged from start to finish. Imagine the nerve of saying: "God cannot operate outside the atmosphere dear Bill was talking about." God also needs the excitement of a large crowd according to Hinn.

It's pretty long but the parts where Hinn is especially revealing are 9:05—16:27 and 18:37—23:14

Yeah....I'm not exactly sure which god that Benny worships but it isn't mine.

Mine isn't dependant on anything...He is the Creator and instigator of all and is in all. I have no power over God nor do I think that even in groups we are able to cause God to do anything.

God talked about wiping out the Israelites and starting over with a new group....and there were over 6 million of them at the time. Benny never drew a crowd of that size.

My God is also omnipotent.... meaning that all power is God's, nobody has any that He doesn't actively support, and God is perfectly efficient when using power. (Omniscience is also a trait)
Meaning that there never will be any unintended spillover effects of using power. (Benny believes dead people have some leftover that he can absorb)

I'll tell you flat out which god Hinn worships, 'The God of Greed' the 'Dollar Bill'. Hinn's current net worth at $75million, and he got that money by fleecing Christians out of their money. Hinn's counterpart in the New Testament is Simon the Magician who also worshipped the God of Greed. Hinn and Simon have duped many followers. An interesting read on Simon: Simon Magus - Wikipedia

I'm very familiar with Simon Magus and the times where the crime of Simony has been performed...

I agree $$$ has a lot to do with it. But it's more than that I believe. Power and influence are also factors; and this is more destructive to the body of Christ. Hinn, and his ilk, deceive to acquire influence and lead people astray.

All the power belong to God, God can do what ever He want without our permission.

Real gospel promote spiritual eternal wealth not temporary wealth on earth

2 for 4
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

There are so many televangelists now who do nothing but promote the gospel of wealth, their wealth. 'Give me $2,000 in 'SEED MONEY' and God will grant you all the wealth that you could ever desire. It doesn't matter that you need that money for rent/food/medicine, give it to me, the preacher chants, and God will make you rich.

So many charlatans on tv now, throwing in a few words about Jesus, and robbing you of your money with lies. Lying and stealing in the name of the Lord.

Don't get me wrong, there are righteous/honest/holy preachers out there. But the money grubbers are taking center stage. PS. I used to love Billy Graham, he was for real, lived modestly all his life while spreading the Word of God. Thanks Mr. Graham!!!!!!!!!

That's true.

The point of the video isn't so much greedy preachers, but the hypnotic atmosphere they create with the music. It also points out that these people are giving out of their own greed. They give because they believe giving to the preacher will result in a big payout. They wouldn't give to a homeless bum on the street because they wouldn't get anything in return. Scam artist and con-men of all stripes play on human greed to get over on them.

In his later years Graham sold out to the ecumenical crowd.

This is another unbelievable video featuring Todd Bentley. First he reads a "prophecy" that say Jesus will appear in person at the next night's meeting. Then he backtracks (starting at 2:28) and says it won't be a physical, bodily appearance, but he will fill the "atmosphere." Again it's all about the atmosphere. In Ephesians 2:2, Paul writes: ". . .in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience—" The Greek word translated "air" is aeros; it refers to the atmosphere lowest to the earth.

In the second half of the video, Bentley repeats over and over: "Send the angles! Send the angels!" This is pretty unsettling. I wonder if he realizes which angels he's summoning?

Does Todd Bentley have mental illness?

Does Todd Bentley have mental illness?
Mental illness is the least of his worries. He bragged that at one meeting the Holy Spirit told him to kick a woman in the face with his biker boot so he did it. Whether this is true or not, the fact that he would even say that is disturbing.

This is a guy who has been given the full endorsement of the New Apostolic Reformation. They anointed him and made him an "apostle."

Again it's all about the atmosphere.
Atmosphere is indeed what sets the stage for emotional manipulation. Just don't waste too much time on those who have gone off the rails

This video shows the induction ceremony of Todd Bentley into the New Apostolic Reformation. I've never seen a collection of more false apostles and prophets gathered on one stage. If these people endorse Todd Bentley, what does this say about them and their movement?

Notice how excited Bentley becomes when C. Peter Wagoner tells him his power, authority, favor and influence will all increase (starts at 5:23). I'm having a hard time believing this isn't some kind of a bad joke; but unfortunately for the church, it isn't.
