God's covenant relationship with man started before there was a nation called Israel and it was always intended to include all mankind. The restitution of all things is the recovery of what Adam threw away in Eden. That recovery is the very thing that Jesus came for: John 10:10
'The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness."

Everything that happened from Adam's sin to Christ is simply God's means to restore the human race to the image and likeness of God. Israel provided irrefutable proof that the nature of man is incurably wicked. In spite of all the miracles in the wilderness and in Israel, the people rebelled and became idolators. Lord Jesus healed and delivered the oppressed. He was sinless and obeyed God perfectly. Of course he would be killed. That's what Israel does to the prophets. The Jews did not relent, persecuting the infant church mercilessly. God put a stop to that by wiping Israel of the map, courtesy of Gentile Rome.

It is plain from scripture that there is no longer a Jew/Gentile distinction in the Body of Christ. God has a purpose for the nation of Israel, which is why He restored her in 1948. But the Jews will not see Jesus until they repent of their wickedness and say "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord".
