So yeah, I've been trying to beat it for a while now(With God's help), and I'm still having problems getting over the 2 weeks with out it on average. So I'm wondering what guys are did to beat it.

Love. When I was in high school I fell in love with a girl who very much shaped how I see the world and what I value in life. If I couldn't imagine doing something with her in the room, then I couldn't imagine doing it at all.

Would it be helpful to know that most christian ladies would not want to spend time with you if they knew you were hooked on porn? If you look at some of the other threads, you can see the damage it does to relationships. Many women have enough body image issues of their own without thinking that you expect them to look like a porn star.
I've seen a lot of threads on here by the same guys asking why they can't get a girlfriend and then talking about porn addiction. Connection maybe???

It may be helpful but like most addictions you don't care how it affects others. Until you hate it the way God hates you will be captive. Try looking up verses on what God says about lust and sexual immorality and ask him to help you hate that sin.
And when I said you. I mean the orginal poster not julliana.
Would it be easy to find on my own computer once I get the program. I really don't want to my dad to find out.
Actually, that's one of the main reasons I've been trying to quit.

The reason pron is so hard to beat is because it caters to the strongest biological urge known to mankind, and satisfying that urge releases more feel-good chemicals in your brain than the strongest narcotic drug.
Oh, and also because its free and easy to access on the internet, but so is scripture and bible teachings and I don't know anyone addicted to those.

Hi i have a testimony, i dont know wether this is the right time or not well iam also very thankfull for what the Lord did for me recently.. since march this year, i found my self watching porn.. i started watching porn because i was very bored in my office. iam normally alone in my office and the devil took advantage of this moment. i could not live without watching porn each day that passes by. i knew it was wrong before God, but i didnt know how to stop it. one day i decided that enough was enough.. i browse through the internet look for help to over come this deadly sin. not so long i found this christian chat website. i went ahead and register. to my suprice, i heard someone else also who had the same problem like me. we started asking for help while we where in the chat room. instantley somenone who i hardly known offered to help me. he incourage me alot through the word of God and he testified that he had the same problem, but God delivered him completely. i told him that it was hard to let go, but he said that he understood, but it is possible! he said that it is possible if i do it step-by-step. i followed what he said and my life changed completedly. 3 three weeks have passed by now and i have never watched porn. i give all priases to God who used this young man to change my life.

I don't think you watch porn because you're lonely it's the act of self gratification and it's a natural thing but it's all about self control and discipline, every person gets turned on and attracted by other people but you just have to have more self control.
If you are lonely then only you can change that, go and meet some people try new things if nothing else it'll get you out the house.
I think we're all addicted to sin. We're just not all addicted to the same ones. The only tried and true method that has ever worked for me to overcome anything is to seek God first. Not just say it, but really put effort into praying a lot, reading the Bible more, etc. The closer we get to God the more we hate sin. The more we want to keep His commands, etc.
Rather than try to fight off the sin and dwelling on it and beating yourself up over it, just seek God harder. The rest will fall into place. Don't expect instant results, but I promise you will see them if you truly put the effort into this. Every step you need to take to overcome it will be revealed through that.
I've also learned to never say "Oh I'm over this or that problem". Pride comes before a fall.

This is true. Scientists did a study on mice that showed that when they had the option of choosing to get a "hit" of the chemicals released during sexual intercourse (through a chemical mixture in their water supply) they actually preferred it over food. They literally starved themselves to death for "love." It was revealing to me because it can be a physical/chemical addiction, apparently.
For myself, the most powerful addiction I had in my life was only overcome through prayer. I asked God to at least give me the desire to want to change because in the place where I started from I didn't even WANT to quit.
Dot, you at least have that going for you already: the desire to want to change.
God can work with even a spark. Matthew 17:20 He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
