We have a contradiction here

Daniel 7:21, 22 "I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;"

Revelation 13:7 "And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

Matthew 16:18 I say unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

The promise from the Lord is that the gates of Hell shall not prevail against the church He builds and yet in Revelation we are told that the Antichrist will prevail over the saints. Anyone who thinks there is no pre-tribulation rapture needs to reconcile this contradiction.
There are more critical faults in their argument than that.

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name’s sake. But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony. Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer; for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist.
You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death.
And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But not a hair of your head shall be lost.
By your patience possess your souls.

Did not Paul state it would happen in a twinkling of an eye.
The way you believe it takes 7 years from the beginning until the end of the FIRST resurrection.
Don't you see how foolish and against Scripture that is?
You have not been reading my posts very well.
The rapture does happen in the twinkling of an eye. The rapture is the beginning of the first resurrection. The first resurrection encompasses all that is not the Second Resurrection (which results in the Second Death.)

Revelation
20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This [is] the first resurrection.
20:6 Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Just take some time to read your Bible and prayerfully meditate upon it. With the Spirit's aid, you can do it.(y)

Peace be unto you, beloved brother!:)(y)(y):coffee::giggle:

Dear Brother you said: "The rapture is the beginning of the first resurrection." This is a outright LIE

By the word of the Lord, we declare to you that we who are alive and remain
until the coming of the Lord
will by no means precede those who have fallen asleep.
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and
the dead in Christ will be the first to rise. .

Having tribulation is not the same as the Antichrist prevailing over them. We have a promise that regardless of whatever the gates of hell throw against us they will not prevail against the church that Jesus is building, yet we are also told that the AntiChrist will prevail against the saints during the tribulation. You have not answered that with any of these verses.

Dear Brother - the gates of hell pertains to condemnation, the Second Death, eternal separation from Christ

It does does apply to tribulation, persecution or physical death because the Lord says to you and to me:
And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

The Completed work of Christ is for our Eternal Destination - Heaven only - No Hell

The gates of Hell cannot take your soul if you are in Christ - It can persecute and kill your body but not your soul.

Revelation shows us satan is killing of the body of the believer - not his/her soul

Religion begins with assumptions and then selectively picking scriptures that seemingly support the assumptions.
Well well then, therein lies the root of your confusions. We need to come from the Bible. It doesn't start from our assumptions. It starts with The Written Word of God and a Spirit to aid us in our understanding.

Dear brother, it is the same word. Jesus promised they would not prevail and then in Revelation we are told this beast does prevail.

Yes, but only over our bodies - Amen

Same word but two different outcomes - Same word kills the body but same word cannot kill/prevail against our soul - AMEN

We are in this TOGETHER because HE first LOVED You and me and all who are under His Protective BLOOD.

Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and
they did not love their lives to the death.

You have told an outright lie by perverting scripture and reversing the ORDER of His Coming, the Resurrection and the rapture.

You keep twisting scripture by saying there are Two Returns of the Lord and the rapture precedes the Resurrection.
These are not just error but outright lies.
Have you no fear of adding your sinful words on top of God's words???

The LORD said HE is coming after the Tribulation - Matthew 24:29-31

Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His [d]elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

There is no contradiction.

The idea of prevailing against the saints is not the same thing as hell prevailing against the Church.

Consider:

If the Church ceases to be present on the earth - and, one more soul passes through the gates of hell - then, the gates of hell will/would have prevailed against the Church.

Jesus told Peter that would never happen.

It also means that the Church will not cease to be present on the earth until hell is thrown into the lake of fire.

Which completely invalidates pre-trib rapture entirely.

The Daniel and Revelation verses above are referring to past history - and, while the HRE did prevail against the saints, the Church never went out of existance.

OK - nice Scriptures - all of them Truth

You said: "I truly believe that the catching up of the Church is in the Scriptures and that they seems to say it will happen Pre-tribulation ---- We can't just pick 1 or 2 Scriptures and make a doctrine out of it ----when considering Scripture Context is everything and Scripture will always answer Scripture ----"

Nothing wrong with assumptions, they are good when we are seeking, but everyone must take those assumptions to Jesus and His word and make sure they are always submitted there and stay there.

Religion begins with assumptions and then selectively picking scriptures that seemingly support the assumptions.

God is not the author of confusion - religion, pride, and satan are.

The Lord made clear to us, in His Word, when the rapture occurs.

Your Mission, as a student of the word, is to find the Truth according to God's word and not rely on assumptions.
Amen. Post-tribulation rapture is the way to go. To prove that it isn't a doctrine of men, it's actually a much more pessimistic rapture interpretation, but feelings are irrelevant compared to scriptural truth (or should be anyway.) People don't pick the scenario that puts them at a greater disadvantage, such as the church being present for the Great Trbulational, unless they love the truth. However, the post-trib rapture is the most Biblically consistent view and doesn't suffer from the same doctrinal/theological weaknesses that pre-trib and mid-trib do.

Having not been raised in church, I don't have a dog in the race (so to speak) when it comes to what the Bible actually says. Therefore, I don't care about denominational loyalties and traditions, relying to the best of my ability on prayer and sola scriptura to guide me.

The longer I study the Bible, the longer I see that the church has gotten a myriad of doctrines incorrect. This results from a number of reasons,, but it boils down to misplaced loyalty and faith in denominations and tradition.

It is my conclusion that post-trib rapture is 100% Biblical and the pre-trib does not exist in the Bible. I would be more willing to try mid-trib before the the pre-trib rapture because I can see how someone could honestly come to a mid-trib misconclusion.

I have said this before, i will repent in a heartbeat if someone were able to prove from Scripture alone:
Christ saying "He will pre-trib rapture His Elect/His Church/His Saints" before the Resurrection or before His Coming

My first 10 years of salvation/Born Again by the Gospel and His Blood, i was in 'pre-trib' only churches.
i am fully educated in pre-trib teaching and even more educated in the TRUTH

Keep it in context...that is the 2nd advent of Christ. The rapture is what occurs first and then the tribulation will occur sometime after the 3 1/2 years of the trib. period.

That doesn't come from bible though. The bible has tribulation first, then second coming, then the resurrection first and the rapture after that. While you cannot prove your order of events, I can prove mine because mine came from the bible.

1Th 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
1Th 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.(second coming reference)
1Th 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord (second coming reference) shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven (second coming reference) with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: (the resurrection of the dead in Christ)
1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (the rapture)

The resurrection only happens at the second coming and the second coming can only happen after the trib has ended, and since the verses tell us the rapture happens AFTER the resurrection and second coming means these verses decisively prove the rapture is post-trib not pre-trib.

It's that simple.

Christ also spoke of the rapture but used the wording of saints being gathered together, and no surprise, placed it after the end of the Great Tribulation.

Mat 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation (great tribulation has ended) of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Mat 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming (second coming reference) in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect (*another way to speak of the Rapture) from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

*(also see 2nd Thessalonians 2:1 for the same language regarding the Rapture)

Timing of the gathering/rapturing is exactly the same in these two passages. In both we have saved Christians being moved from one place to another and in both that happens after the tribulation has ended and when the second coming has commenced.
