I think mums need their daughters and fathers need their sons but sometimes it can be the other way round, especially if one parent dies.
Jesus looked after his mum when Joseph died, as well as earning for the family. Its just the way it is with families.

I would be alarmed if someone was actually kicked out of home, and homeless. If you choose to leave, ok, but some people dont choose . They would do ANYTHING to live with their parents. A broken home is no joke.

@Sculpt started a great thread on what ladies think of men living with their parents. I am curious about the opposite as well, since I don't know how men feel about ladies living at home with their parents. Women who live independently are traditionally stereotyped in a negative manner, but perhaps things/times have changed?

What is your impression of ladies who live with their parents?

Do men prefer ladies who live with their parents compared to ladies who live alone/independently? Why or why not?
🤷‍♂️ Doesn’t matter where she lives, long as she’s Christian: born of Spirit

I was watching a series recently based on the Anne of Green Gables books (if you havent read the books...go find them, or at least the first one!)

The books were about an 11 year old red-haired orphan girl called Anne Shirley who goes to live with an elderly brother and sister in Prince Edward Island in Canada, they are expecting a boy to help them on the farm but instead they are sent a girl. She then transforms the lives of everyone around her with her imaginative character.

Anyway it does turn out that Matthew and Marilla actually need her as much as she needs them.

I got to thinking about orphans in different circumstances, some being given up, away or even abandoned by their birth parents. But if they are lucky, they find new parents who love them as if they are their own.

Also it made me think about Jesus, being with his Father in heaven. Ok earth was ok for a while, but he'd much rather be with Father in heaven, his spirit was commended to his father when he died and on resurrection he didnt stick around on earth it was to go to His Father.

We are only ever away from our parents for a short while, but time spent with them while they are alive is precious. I have met many many people who have issues with their parents and the saddest most heart broken are those whos parents died young or who never got the chance for a good relationship with them.

I don't think where she has lived or her living arrangements has ever been a thing for me personally. I have had a number of live in girlfriends while in the world. So after finding I was in no way compatible with the first couple of them because we just had different ideas of what keeping things picked up meant. As well as just taking care of the stuff ya own.

So I found after those experiences. That while it did not matter to me where she lived. I really did pay attention to how she lived and how clean she kept her place. As well as did she respect what she owned and take care of it.

So while I will no longer be having anymore live in girlfriends in my life. If I ever get the inclination to date again and consider I wanna make this woman my wife. I would be guilty of checking out how she lives and how she takes care of what she owns. As the where really holds no sway for me but the how sure does.

what, she just leaves stuff all over the floor. lol

men do that too, and it doesnt matter whether they live with their parents or not. Parents are not personal maids, and neither are wives.

In fact, people in the world are gross. There are laws against littering because people will just chuck their rubbish anywhere. And if they dont want it on their own property they will dump it somewhere else and make it someone elses problem.

You pretty much nailed my personality. I take personal responsibility serious as well as I have a servants heart. I don't find anything beneath me. These are not gender bias traits by any means these are traits male and female have depending upon the individual.

I also am not very demanding an dislike telling people what to do. Again these are not gender bias traits either. So when I will be on the lookout again. I will look for traits that are organically that woman's very nature.

I find the bible is pure wisdom. By that I mean I find it is not also truth when it comes to spiritual matters but contains the wisdom and the truth for daily practical living as well.

Bible says can two walk together unless they agree. For me this covers all forms of personal relationships in the daily practical be it business partners, friendships, marriage partnership, and etc. It is easier to reach a common goal if you have common shared worldviews or shared traits that are just the natural part of the individual.

Christ said what is in a persons heart will come out of their mouth. I have found it also does to apply to their actions. Who we are will just show in what we say and in what we do.

Understand I read your post as a friendly tease or poke. So no animosity at all. However, I did find that in your friendly poke you did nail down just what I am trying to avoid as a woman's natural personality traits.

I am trying to avoid someone who uses others as a reason to avoid personal responsibility, "men do that too" as well as someone who finds being a servant beneath them "Parents are not personal maids, and neither are wives."

So again please understand I am not saying that is how you personally feel. As I read you more just giving me a friendly poke or a friendly riling up so there was no animosity on your part.

However, there are individuals and again is not gender specific, who that is really how they truly feel. In that they will look to use others to excuse personal responsibility and they find things beneath them.

Which again this kind of woman I find she and I will not be compatible. Which marriage has enough struggles as it is so why make one more for the both of us. By setting upon conflict when trying to move towards what should be a shared goal when we just don't share a in common view So really is about compatibility and two walking as one in agreement

So all that to say why I look at how a woman lives and how she treats the stuff she owns I listen to what she says and watch what she does. I am looking for as much as possible we are naturally already in unison over when it comes to shared traits and how we will move ahead together.
