It is written in John 5:24 that everlasting life begins at the moment of first faith and that from that point a man passes from death unto everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation from that point forward.
I'm not suggesting you should leave. I would like to know your answers to my questions. You are not obliged to, of course. I've never come across a Christian who rejects the idea of being born again. Mormons and JW's do reject the idea but I do not class them as Christian.
It is by faith we believe. Also obey. Without faith it is impossible to please Him . How do we receive the mercy God extends to us ? By faith. How do we come to Jesus.? Faith. How do we obey? We act. Come unto me all that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. We act. . Faith came by hearing and hearing by the Word of God("Being born-again not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible by the word of God which liveth forever and ever KJV (1 Peter 1:23) It is doctrine. Did we act upon the conviction of our sins > ? did we have our come to Jesus moment ? did we repent and receive Him ? "He that has the Son has life and He that has not the Son of God has not life. "When were you saved , right then. " Now Satan is going to fight this in the form of a counter theology but the scripture in context is all you need for absolute truth and the Spirit of God will bear witness. Ephesians 1:13,14 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth , the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession unto the praise of his glory. KJV

Your feelings have nothing to do with it. Do you believe that Jesus is the Christ? If 'yes', then take God at His word:
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God ... 1 John 5:1 (KJV)
How can I know that I am saved ? Or born again ? The whole process from beginning to end is revealed in the Word of God. Our part is to continue in His Word and Prayer . When we come to the end of ourselves and need Him in a big way. That is growing in The Lord . James says : Lack Wisdom? Ask God for it . Understanding ? Proverbs says lift up your voice for understanding. Knowledge Proverbs says, Cry after knowledge . Your feelings have nothing to do with the assurance of salvation.The Word of God is our users manual. His Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God. Want more assurance than that ? Praise him ( He inhabits the praises of his people) Psalm 22:3 The Lord loves the praise of His people. As a priest in a kingdom of priests we are admonished to offer spiritual sacrifices to God. " By Him let us offer the sacrifices of praise to God continually .

You know whether you believe that Jesus is the Christ (so that you are born of God) by the reality of whether or not you are capable of sinning; according to 1 John 3:9.
That verse may in fact be hyperbole...exaggeration to make a point.

Those who are born again are walking in a new direction.

You first . Nice try . . You can believe in Jesus Christ and go on vacation from Him. You can repent and be restored and forgiven. The good that Paul wanted to do , he did not but the evil that he did not want to do he did. Brother , sounds good on paper but the closer you get to the Lord the more of how short you come He'll reveal to you. You got it just don't walk after the flesh. Repent is if you are stealing quit it . Honestly what I have noticed is that most Christians these days are presumptious. Each one has their compromise of choice. Are they Gods children . Sure. Are they perfect no. Talking the talk is not walking the walk . Ever hear a drunk loved one slur at Christmas let's play some Bible games.? Did they lose their salvation ?. No. Will they reap what they've sown absolutely and will give an account for every work whether good or evil . Me too. You too. So my friend before you set that bar so high remember Jesus came not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance . Peace
The new birth is not a process, learning about it and learning to live the inner Christ life is. We spend our lives learning what God hath done for us. And the more we learn the more we rejoice in it.
You'll only experience it by BELIEVING it God will not bless double mindedness. If you've repented sincerely believing in Christ's death for you on the cross and have asked God sincerely for the new life He brings then you have it.

You're teaching falsely, the new birth is taught by our Lord and the apostles. Here are a couple verses that come to mind.
1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and father... who has caused us to be born again...
1 Peter 1:23 for you have been born again...
The new birth is taught throughout scripture, a foundational doctrine known of Christians: those born from above by Spirit.
But the natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. 1 Corinthians 2:14
Understand not this simple doctrine and it is likely you who are in the flesh regurgitating doctrines of man.
The Holy Spirit will bear witness to you as to whether you have been born again.
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him... He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. (1 John 5:1,10).
"We know that no one who is born of God sins; but He who was born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him."—1 John 5:18
Has your life changed? Do you keep on sinning like you did before you confessed Christ? Does everything go on as it did before? The evidence of the new birth is new fruit. "A good tree cannot bear bad fruit."

As per Revelation 14:7-12

I say ---well for starters you can do as the scripture says to be saved --------
I am using the Amp Bible here because it tells you that by confessing with your mouth ---you are actually confessing your Faith that you do believe ------Salvation comes through Faith ---Grace makes Salvation available and our Faith receives it
And Folks Notice the IF YOU ----this puts a condition in place and it also gives us choice to receive God's free Salvation or reject it ------
Many people believe that God's Love will save you and there is no need to repeat any words =--We can be saved without Jesus because God loves us ---this is False doctrine ----
God who is Love sent His Son for us to bring about His Saving Grace through His Saving Faith ------

9 because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation.

So when a person confesses out loud and truly believes in their inner man (Spirit ) that what they are confessing is truth and doesn't doubt ----then you instantly receive the Holy Spirit and you will see a change in your perception of how you view the world ------and some see an instant change in their personally -----It is like there was a veil over your eyes this veil was lifted and you view things differently ---
My experience was profound but this was just my experience -others have experienced a gradual transformation === however you experience it just don't doubt ----trust what the scripture says ==
My Transformation ---
I did not believe in evil spirits or ghosts etc -----I knew of God but I did not know much about God ----I believed there was a God but that was it ------I was living in a PMQ which is Provincial Married Quarters for Service Men ----My Husband was away at sea for 6 months --- I started seeing triangular lights over the living room ceiling ----my phone would ring and there was no one there ----my lights would go off and come on by themselves -----all the doors in the house would open all by themselves ---I starting hearing loud snapping sounds like someone was snapping a whip --My son who was only 5 was getting sacred ---as he was waking up at night from the loud snapping in the house -----after a week of this I went to see the Padre on the base ---I figured he would say I needed to admit myself in a mental hosp ---but he said he understood and ask me if I had any Buddha's in my house I was praying to ---I had had gone to a fortune teller ---If I had any seances in the house ---and if I had been using a ouija board --I answered no to all ----He said well someone before you was dealing in the occult ---- He came and did an exorcism through my house and everything stopped ----
The Padre and his wife who were both Born Again people prayed over me and I received Jesus in my heart and instantly I saw things different --it was like I had a veil covering my sight and it had been lifted --I had a peace that I had never experienced before ----it was like weights had been lifted from me I felt light and unburdened ----My friends and family noticed a big difference in my personality as I was normally an angry negative person ----I started going to church and really enjoyed being there ----
I now believe in evil spirits and believe they can play havoc with our lives
And here is the best part of all of this ---The Padre and His Wife both had the gifts of speaking in tongues and they took me to the Church and anointed with oil and prayed that I would have this wonderful gift ----it didn't happen right away and I had actually forgot about it until one day I that it real urge to pray and was just talking to God and all of a sudden I started speaking in this other language that was foreign to me --I told the Padre and He said this is a very important gift as when you don't know how to pray for someone you can pray in tongues --
This made my trust and faith in God soar ----this happened in 1984 and i have never looked back --I love my life and I trust God fully---I know He answers prayers ----and He does what He says He does in His Word -----
Doubt may be Ok in this Physical world but it is not in God's Spiritual world ----but that is for another thread ----
Now Not everyone has the same experience as me --I have family that never had an immediate transformation but a gradual one ----- so everyone is different in the way they experience their saved transformation--- ===
The thing is once you confess your Faith as it says in the scripture ---Do not doubt ===know --Trust and Believe you are saved and start your Maturing path to be Christ like -----the Holy Spirit will guide your Faith walk if you allow Him to ----
