I have spoken what I have spoken.

I believe that what I have said is understandable so that you do not misunderstand what I am saying.

Which is, that, while I do not believe that a husband should force his wife to have sex with him, it is also true that she does not have power over her own body but the husband has power over her body; and vice versa.

The wife is to submit to her husband. If she submits when he requires sex from her, then there is no such thing as "rape" within a marriage because in order for that to occur, the female must be saying "no" to sex.

If she does not submit then he would be in the wrong to force sex; but she would also be in the wrong for withholding sex.

So, that would place the sin on both parties. Of course if the husband is more spiritual than the wife, he will not force the issue and in that case it will only be the wife who is sinning.
If your wife permits you to rape her so that you can deny it is rape based on the technicalities to make you feel better about it...and not have to bother with tending to any inconvenience of whatever issues might've led to her initial reluctance... then I would say you indeed hate her.

Except that I have not ever, nor ever will, force sex on my wife...because I fulfill my end of the responsibilities laid out in scripture that I am to love my wife as Christ loves the church.

If I ever required sex of her in spite of her vaginal problems, she would submit to that even though it would be painful for her. But I do not require it of her because I do not want to cause her pain.

But my point on the other hand is that a husband cannot rape his wife because in order for it to be rape, the wife has to be saying "no"...and since it is required of a wife biblically that she submit to her husband as the church submits to Christ (as "Lord"), how can she then say "no"?

Ideally a wife has a husband who loves her; and if he loves her, he will not require sex of her in the instance that it might cause pain to her physically or emotionally.

In the instance where the husband does not love the wife; if she is a believer; she is to seek to win him to Christ without a word by her chastity and submission to him (1 Peter 3:1-7).

I would also say that it is my own intention to lead by example...

So I would say that it is better for you if you do as I do rather than as I say.

That's between you and your wife to work out. I really have no interest in neither her vaginal nor your gonad issues so I'd rather not give you anymore opportunity to air them out.

This thread has really become ridiculous. Why is anyone even bringing all this up? People who love each other are considerate of one another.

I mean church leadership and sexual misconduct. All you have to do is check The Roys Report and pretty much every day there's a new story about someone getting busted. It's getting so the Catholic church has nothing on Evangelicals.

My thoughts on what's behind this situation: Internet pornography. It used to be fear of exposure and the financial hit of purchasing pornography kept it in check to a certain degree. Now anyone in complete privacy can watch virtually anything they want free.

In my opinion this should be priority number one for the church. If it's not addressed, a lot more people are going to get hurt and a lot of people's faith will end up shipwrecked.
Or is the Catholic Church being set up like they say all white people are racist and guilty to knock down the white people and boost the African Americans, minorities because they have to out everyone on an equal level for the one world government to come like they have to knock down the men and boost the women.

I do not know if it is a set up but something has got to change the Vatican and the Pope because they will be the ones to head up the unified religious system to come which will be the new age movement interpretation of the Bible and religions.

They are trying to establish a whole new reality in the world that is not there now where it is all about the occult and evolution and they are still evolving.

Catholic schools in the United States and other countries teach evolution as part of their science curriculum. They teach that evolution occurs and the modern evolutionary synthesis, which is the scientific theory that explains how evolution proceeds. This is the same evolution curriculum that secular schools teach. Bishop Francis X. DiLorenzo of Richmond, chair of the Committee on Science and Human Values, wrote in a letter sent to all U.S. bishops in December 2004: "Catholic schools should continue teaching evolution as a scientific theory backed by convincing evidence. At the same time, Catholic parents whose children are in public schools should ensure that their children are also receiving appropriate catechesis at home and in the parish on God as Creator. Students should be able to leave their biology classes, and their courses in religious instruction, with an integrated understanding of the means God chose to make us who we are."

But the Catholic Church will change more when a new Pope comes that believes we are still evolving to be spiritual but believes in no personal God but honors the God of forces as their higher power the evolutionary process which the believe the universe has a conscious which Alice Bailey the biggest prophet of the new age movement wrote a book called Consciousness of the Atom.

If it were possible for it to be known what my real identity is, I would not be airing this information because it would be embarrassing to her.

But since we can post on these boards from a basically anonymous position, I felt the liberty to speak of it since it was pertinent to the argument at hand.

My original hypothesis hasn't changed. Churches are more worried about good music and attracting numbers ($$$) than they are about teaching people to be more like the Savior. In the meantime, the porn epidemic rages on.

The word disciple is the root of discipline. The church is very big on making disciples but falls miserably short on teaching them the discipline necessary to become a true disciple. Discipline = study, learn, train, and apply a system of standards.

Paul said: "Be diligent to show yourself approved unto God, a worker unashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."—2 Timothy 2:15

And,

"But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified."—1 Corinthians 9:27

Notice Paul says he disciplines his body lest he himself should become disqualified. Today's church relies entirely on grace. It has forgotten the necessity of discipline.

Looking through the thread, and with the an interest in the general regard for women in particular (well, I can't help but approach most issues that way, after all I'm human), I've arrived at an epiphany of that which fuels this raging pandemic. I believe it is a general lack of respect, of which root is an total void of self-respect which is why it is must too often then be disguised by an extreme form of superciliousness.

I have heard that certain men have been punished as rapists who were simply taking advantage of their biblical right to have power over their wife's body as it is written in 1 Corinthians 7:4.

I think that it is actually very sad that this has occurred. People who believed in what the Bible says and acted accordingly have been punished for their faith in what the Bible says

I doubt Pornography has anything to do with Closet Queens pretending to be straight men in order to be predators upon children.

Now the preacher with a wife and family who is also being intimate with the secretary and other women of the local Church Body, pornography probably is a driving force behind the scenes.

Another one bites the dust; this time it's Perry Stone.

https://julieroys.com/investigations-televangelist-perry-stone-sexual-misconduct/

Anyone care to make a wager on how long it'll be till he's back on the airwaves and hawking his merchandise? (If he leaves at all)
He clearly was not sexual with them, but one woman claimed he was a Nasty Pervert. Does this mean he said something with sexual undertones or suggested things? It does appear to be similar to Jimmy Swaggart paying to watch 2 hookers do things to each other, not to him.

He clearly was not sexual with them,
That remains to be seen. He already confessed to being "inappropriate" in a previous case and asked forgiveness. In context, the nature of his inappropriateness was sexual.

It may not have advanced beyond talk or touching, but that's how predators groom their victims. They start out slow to gauge who's gullible and if they can take it further.

Stone stated: "I confess at times I’ve been inappropriate in all this weariness of just non-stop ministry,” Seriously, that's his idea of an apology? He takes no responsibility at all. He blames his ministry for it! But does he take a break from ministry? A few months and he's right back to it. If he's been sexually inappropriate, he needs to step down and get help. He should take his ministry off the air, or put it in the hands of someone more responsible; and put himself under the authority and care of elders so he can deal with his problem. Will he do this? Of course not! LOL

I fully agree with your assessment. I only noticed that no one claimed to be physically intimate and thought immediately about the Jimmy Swaggart situation.

I totally agree. The body has let this go on. When someone is caught, more often than not the body sides with the perp; or the perp just gets moved somewhere else to do it again.

If someone in leadership is found out to be a sexual predator, they should never again be allowed into a position of authority. There should be a way to do this, and enforced.
cameras out of the control of church leaders and members is a key to stopping it at church.
