Dear Friends, as I mentioned in the Intro, we have plans here in India to distribute 15 Crore Bibles in the next 10-12 Years. We've done the Math and Estimate One Single Person can distribute about 1000-1500 Bibles in a Single Year, and therefore 10000-15000 Bibles in 10 Years. Now, if we need to reach 15 Crore, or 150 Million as westerners say it, we therefore need 10,000 laborers in the Lord's Vineyard. Currently, we have only about 100, but we are growing fast, and aim to reach our target soon. We aim to give out New Testament Bibles first, and then Complete Bibles later on if requested.

1. So, my First Question is: Does anyone know a place from which I can order New Testaments, to be delivered to India, at a Reasonable Price, preferably with a Discount for Bulk Orders? I love both the King James Version, and the New King James Version Blue New Testament Gideon Bibles, both of which I have in my home, though only a few copies. I also read the Catholic Douay Rheims Version, first published in 1583, even before the Anglican 1611 King James Bible. I have this Bible on my Smart Phone in my "IPieta App", which we can also download others on their phone. If we collect people's phones and email ids, we can also email them Bible Links. But we prefer to distribute hard copies of the Bible, as people are much more likely to read them. In any case, we can do all three as well, and it doesn't have to be one or the other.

2. My Second Question is: What do you think of a project to obtain a New Ecumenical or Universal Bible Translation all Christians can use? Ideally, Bishops, Pastors, Priests, Scripture Scholars and Christian Theologians, and others skilled in Hebrew, Greek and Latin - the languages on the Cross and of the Most Ancient Bible Manuscripts - would lead such an effort, though it would take time. I would like Bible translations to be as faithful to the original text as possible, while also retaining the Majesty and Authority of some of the Old Bible Translations like the KJV.

In addition, imho, the Holy Bible should be as approachable and reader-friendly as possible, so that Christ the Lord, the Living Word of God, can speak to the reader through them, as imho He greatly desires to do. Archaic words that have changed or lost their meaning, or are completely unintelligible to 90% of readers today, most of whom are simple Christians, should be completely avoided. Otherwise, people may not read the Bible.

The Holy Bible is already the Greatest and Most Best-Selling Book of all time, leaving far behind the Quran, the Book of Mormon and even other religious texts: "The Guinness Book of World Records estimates that more than 5 billion copies of the Bible have been printed. Other religious texts are also high on the list: the Quran with 800 million copies, the Book of Mormon with 120 million." https://www.mprnews.org/story/2015/07/21/thread-books-bcst-best-selling-books Harry Potter is nothing at all compared to the Holy Bible, with a mere 500 Million copies sold, which the Holy Bible beats ten times over. Let's aim for the Holy Bible to reach 50 Billion.

In Our Lord Jesus,
With Love and Prayers,
May God bless you all.

The Gideons do a LOT of work handing out a nice New Testament worldwide, they may enjoy partnering, I knew a man who was head of the Caribbean area Gideon's. Interesting, he shared that when they gave out New Testaments there the whole school had a time of prayer, worship and celebration, here we can't, and we think we are free.

Thank you all, dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, for your suggestions. I love the Gideons for the Great Work they're doing. Out of that Amazing Statistic that 5 Billion Bibles have been published worldwide - beating Harry Potter at a mere 0.5 BN by 1000%! Hah! - according to my NKJV Blue New Testament Gideon Bible, " With the help of Christian friends from many different Churches, Gideons have been able to place and distribute over 1.6 Billion Bibles - (32% of the Total ever accomplished by one single organization!) - and New Testaments to hotels, motels, hospitals, penal instituions, members of the armed forces, school students and those in the public nursing field" Wow!

Those 1.6 Billion Bibles must have sparked at least 400 Million Conversions and Souls Saved for the Lord Jesus Christ Worldwide, even if we assume a Conversion Ratio of a mere 25%. It's probably higher than that. I'm firmly convinced that distributing Holy Bibles is the Very Best and Greatest Form of Christian Evangelism we can ever do, and I believe Millions of Christians are called to participate.

I've changed and updated my plans here in India. I just sent an email to the Woman I Love explaining my plans, after she encouraged me to broaden my horizon and thinking a little - and plan like this - a BIBLE FOR EVERY SINGLE INDIAN BY 2033, so India may be saved.

"
Edited and Updated:

"Therefore, it is likely that in 2033, the 2000th Anniversary of Our Lord's Resurrection, and the Descent of the Holy Ghost upon the Apostles, India's Population will be 155 C. Here's how we can, Amazingly, have a Bible for Every Indian by then!

Action Plan: Missionary Target of 155 Crore Bibles in 12 Years.

25 Crore Bibles from 2029-2033 = 125 Crore Bibles; 5 years, 2029, 2030, 2031, 2032, 2033.

5 Crore Bibles from 2023-2028 = 30 Crore Bibles; Cumulative = 155 Crore Bibles bet 23-33.

2022 Working to get the first set of 5 Crore Bibles ready for 2023. A New Improved Translation of the Holy Scriptures.

...

Let's get to Work Immediately for this Most Noble Cause which will ... Save India. The Word of God has a Power which no man can ever fully understand! The Holy Bible is the Greatest Weapon against Satan and will Spark the Greatest Revival Ever in Christian History!"

In Our Lord Jesus,
Nishant Xavier.
God Bless you all.

I would say, publishers in India or China are about as low a price as it goes.

So you need to team up with another ministry.
Joyce Meyers does a lot in India.
Reach out to her organization.
https://joycemeyer.org/handofhope/globalreach/i/india
From her sermons, she sounds like a very strong possibility in aiding or providing for Bibles in India.
Maybe there is a Joyce Meyers Ministries Indian contact they can connect you with?

And, I hate to say, but currently, there are only 7.9 billion people on Earth. So, 50 Billion Bibles is a bit high.
And about 327 million people are in the US. and only China and India have more than the US. At about 1 billion each.

I pray, and know, God will go before you and pave this way.

In Jesus name.
God Bless you.

Thank You, Donna! Great Suggestions. I love Joyce Meyer. She does a lot of Good Work for spreading the Kingdom of God, as well as Edifying and Encouraging those who are already Christians.

I respectfully disagree that 50 BN is too high to aim for, though. There will be 10 BN people on earth soon, around 2050. My hope is there will be 5 Bibles in every single person's home by then!

In Jesus' Name. Amen.
God Bless you, Donna.

50 billion is high. :) Still, most Christian churches would have multiple Bibles in order to supply their congregants during services, and possibly even multiple copies of different translations as times change and congregations grow. Of course we hear the stories of churches shrinking, but my church is growing, and they switched translations at one point when the translation they were originally using was updated, and the older one became difficult to come by. So rather than not having enough of the preferred version, they went with a completely different translation.

I probably have at least five Bibles. I would not be surprised to learn
that some people have even more Bibles in their possession :D

The Bible Society of the U.K. calculates that the number of God's Word printed between 1816
and 1975 was around 2.45 billion. By 1992 this estimated number rose to nearly six billion.

Bibles currently have been published in over 450 languages. The New Testament alone has
been distributed in nearly 1,400 languages, with the Gospel of Mark in over 2,300 languages.
They represent the primary means of reaching over 90% of the world’s population with God's truth.

Try doing searches for "economy New Testaments." While you can order a lot more New Testaments for a lower price, the downside is that the font and paper are usually very poor quality. Most of them have 8-point font and are made of scritta paper to keep the price as low as possible. They're difficult to read and not durable, but you get Word of God distributed on a budget.

You can also consider buying singular books of the Bible, printed for quick and easy distribution, such as the book of John or Romans for example. I think you can pick any of the other books that contain a clear and concise message about the fundamentals of salvation through faith in God's Son, Jesus the Nazarene.

We're aiming for 155 Crore for our Indian People First. Other countries and their populations are irrelevant to us at the current time. Let's see what happens by 2033, but I'm 100% Confident the Lord Jesus Christ in His Divine Providence will supply us poor Christians all our needs, according to His Riches in Glory, as St. Paul the Apostle teaches in Philipians 4:19, "But my God shall supply all your need according to His Riches in Glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19, Authorized KJV)

HalleluJah! Praise the Lord Jesus! He is doing Great Things here in India already. We Indian Christians see it every day, and we pray for all our Christian Brothers and Sisters all around the World.

Thanks, Magenta! Nice to know you have 5 Bibles! Awesome. Use them well and become a Saint, like St. Paul teaches you are called to be. "1 Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, 2 Unto the Church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: 3 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Cor 1:3)

Beginning every day with Half an Hour of Prayer and Half an Hour of Bible Reading has brought amazing and incredible Blessings into my life. I highly recommend it to all Christians, aspiring to be Saints, and called to become Saints, like St. Paul and the other Apostles.

I love this excerpt you quoted, Magenta: "Bibles currently have been published in over 450 languages. The New Testament alone has
been distributed in nearly 1,400 languages, with the Gospel of Mark in over 2,300 languages. They represent the primary means of reaching over 90% of the world’s population with God's truth. " We need New Testatments First, and Complete Bibles, later in every language on Earth. The Holy Bible shows us, in the Book of Revelation, people of every language and tongue praising the Lord! If that has to happen, the Holy Bible must be translated into every single language on Earth first and foremost, so that all can happily read it.

Hi Runningman. You said: "Try doing searches for "economy New Testaments." Most of them have 8-point font and are made of scritta paper to keep the price as low as possible. They're difficult to read and not durable, but you get Word of God distributed on a budget. "

Thanks for the advice, Runningman. God bless you for it. We have Good Quality Bibles at Prices of 500 Rupees or less (about 7 Dollars) here in India. We are looking to buy in bulk and at a reasonable discount once the plan, by God's Grace, is somewhat finalized.

In Our Lord Jesus,
Christian Missionary,

The "Dollar tree" here in the U.S has a New Testament that they sell for $1 that has regular paper and the print is possible to read for most (unlike the $1 full bibles). It's distributed by "retail centric marketing" (RCM logo) so possibly that's something to look into?

I could post some pictures of the print but it does say it's "easy to read" and is KJV. If you need some in English I'd just buy them there...

A quick search I can't find it even with LLC but I did see that you can order bulk to the Dollar tree and while 10 cases (240-360) would probably be doable, Idk about the kind of bulk you are talking about unless you want to source to many stores at once. Should take care of your English need but setting type to a new language is probably where it gets expensive. Might have that option though.

Shipping is the big expense though and idk if shipping it yourself by private plane or by sea (if you get enough to fill a shipping container at a time) would be in your ballpark but anything less I'd expect to be substantially more.
