Well, tonight on NBC is the Miss USA pageant which seems to always cause plenty of controversy, so in advance I decided to set this thread up for the inevitable debate.

It's nothing more then a bunch of women trying to put forth some image that in order to do some good in the world you have to whore yourself out.
Seriously, do women go around in barely there bikinis when they feed the poor or minister?

I watched Miss America last year and the competition was pretty awesome (my girlfriend got to me lol) The winner was a very beautiful but also socially conscious young woman from Georgia. But Miss America and Miss USA are very different. Miss USA is usually a trashy cat-fight lol
Just finished watching it. To anyone else who did, I thought they spent too much time on other things than the contestants. Other than which one to me LOOKED best there didn't seem to be anything to really differentiate them this year.
Chill out, no one forced you to read or reply to this thread. Sorry for the fact we occasionally post fun nonsense threads. Maybe you would have better luck in the bible discussion forums...you seem like you would fit in well there.

If I'm flipping channels and the flaming batons portion is on, I'll stop for awhile. You gotta figure flames and all of that hairspray are eventually gonna cause a little excitement.
NOTE: FYI - They use hairspray to keep the swimsuits from slipping out of place, not just on their hair.
It works, but it's kinda itchy. We do the same thing with dance leotards sometimes.

I couldn't agree with you more, any Christian with a serious desire to serve God will not watch garbage like that. Women dressing in as little as they can and strutting about is absolutely wicked.

I think it is awesome that someone who believes in evolution won. Science is not incompatible with belief.
Science proves the Bible, evolution, in the sense that everything evolved from something else e.g. macroevolution isn't science though. But this isn't the right thread for that, see the evolution threads in the Bible forum.
