So if you have a hate crime and you get caught you call it a hoax? This was clearly a hate crime against the MAGA movement and against the Trump campaign. CNN and Michelle Obama are clearly involved.

There was hate in the motive towards a group of people but the victim was going to be himself. So this is why I believe he wasn't charged with a "hate crime".

A lot of racism was going down at the time due to BLM and ANTIFA among others also mixed with just hate politically from a divided nation. If they can prove his hoax actually made someone go out and commit a violent crime, such as assault, murder, arson, vandalism, or threats to commit such crimes due to him fanning the flames of hate then he should of been charged.

I actually disagree with hate crimes as 90% of crimes are committed out of hate. I feel it is our country's way to lay a foundation to one day abuse and charge people who believe in traditional marriage, biological gender, etc.

CNN is always speaking lies to promote communism so they are expected to fan the flames.

As for Michelle Obama I'm not sure how she is connected to this.

The victim was the Chicago police who have spent over $500,000 on this case, the victim was the city of Chicago, the MAGA movement and the Trump campaign.

Michelle Obama talked the DA out of prosecuting him, there was a huge outcry and so a special prosecutor was forced to do it.

Yeah and as defined above the police, the city, or if you can somehow connect it to the Trump campaign was not the victim of a hate crime as defined by the justice department.

Ah okay not surprised by Michelle. Glad someone prosecuted him.
 
Joe Biden said "what happened to Jussie Smollet must never be tolerated in this country". This is my point, this is where we all agree. Now we have to deal with all these race baiters and hate mongers, all these people who threw gasoline on the fire and tried to get a bonfire in the country burning.

Joe Biden said we have to confront this hate. I agree. Let's not dismiss it, let's confront it.

Now let's see if they will label BLM a terrorist group right beside the ANTIFA.
 
The NAACP said "there is a direct relationship between the rise in hate crimes of this nature (Jussie Smollett crime) ... and president Trump's xenophobic rhetoric and racists policies."

I agree with them as well. There is a direct relationship between Jussie Smollett faking this crime and his attempt to blame Trump. So we should all unite, the NAACP, Joe Biden, MAGA, let everyone come together to deal with this kind of phony baloney crime.

You are missing the point. Was CNN convicted, was Michelle Obama convicted? I want to know if this staged event was part of a bigger political agenda and if so we have to deal with it now or it will just get worse and worse.
 
2 years ago it wasn't simply the prevailing narrative, you weren't able to question it without being labeled a racist. The story didn't make any sense and even Dave Chapelle realized that. First of all, who in Chicago that is really a MAGA supporter would recognize Jussie Smollett at 1am in a Subway? It is ridiculous, I don't know how many people watch whatever TV show he is on, but I highly doubt too many of them are rabid right wing MAGA supporters.

At the very least all these pundits on the TV have to come out, admit they were wrong, not just about Smollett but even more in slandering anyone who questioned this. We need to return to sanity when people could have different opinions and ask questions without this vicious attacks and slander.
