I love being single!
During my last relationship I noticed it takes a lot of time and other things to sacrifice, like hanging around with friends. I'm very attached to my freedom.

yea....... what he said.

We are missing a bit of a gap.

I realize that on your tax forms you go from single to married but, in real life nothing works that way.

I enjoy the process of getting from single to friends to best friends to a relationship to a serious relationship to being engaged to making wedding plans to... well thats as far down the rabbit hole as I've been.

Yep, right now the last thing I want is to get into a relationship. But, I think this happens because I just got out of one, and with a non-christian, so it was very wearing... took a lot of pieces of me.

So, I'm enjoying being single very much, and when God wants to send me my husband, I'll also enjoy it... but in a few years I hope hehe :)

yes, i enjoy it very much, i can do a lot of things that i like, i can wake up at the time i want, i dont have to ask to go to some place or not so im very happy, but sometimes i feel lonely and i would like to have someone to cheer my day, someone that i can trust and talk when im back from work, but i dont want to find someone only because i feel lonely, i really want to find a man focused on God, so i think im better being alone while i find that person instead of being in a bad relationship.

I do thoroughly enjoy being single, because of a horrible relationship I was in not too long ago. She makes me thankful in my new knowledge that life can be good without a woman. Although I greatly desire a relationship all the same. Not right now, but when I have some money and my own home. I find great joy in life regardless of my not wooing a woman and despite my bipolar depression. My joy wells up from the thankfulness I am commanded by God to have for all the good things the Father lavishes upon me. And I fully expect another one of those gifts to be a beautiful, thankful, joy filled, Holy Spirit fired up woman when I'm ready for her.

Yes, but...

I love to have someone to share life with... cook for...spoil...be a partner to. I imagine what it would be like to pray together...to be loved and known by a man with a heart for God.

I agree that I am much more productive single. My life is full, happy, and healthy. My spiritual life is without distraction and fulfilling. I am so used to being single, and enjoying it, that my friends try to jolt me out of my lull. They tell me I need to get out there so that I can meet that special someone.

There is a quiet peace in my heart that knows God has a plan for me and it's amazing.

I like being single, a lot better than I'd like being with the wrong person. But it's also a challenge knowing there is a 'right' person (not perfect, but right for me) out there and not knowing them or having them in my life that way yet.

I see some saying being single is good because of certain freedoms but honestly, to me, a healthy relationship involves giving each other some elbow room too, so that freedom thing may not be that big an issue.

It comes down to what you find more beneficial. MORE freedom or having someone there.

Most days I am very satisfied with being single, the other days I am just content. The thought of being single usually doesn't even enter my mind, until I come here to the single forums lol

Yeah, why not? But then it starts to get boring, lonely, and not truly fulfilling some of the great plans God has for us as human beings, male and female, together in a life adventure, with good and godly things, not sickness and disease.

I was thinking about it today because I want to be married before I go on The World Race.

The World Race: Christian Missions

But I have until I'm 35 to accomplish this goal. Plus I have 3 years of school ahead of me to save and to study.

Which makes making plans difficult. Considering I have no idea who would marry me or go around the world with me either.
