Here is the thing. If you are a parent you may give to your children. what parents gives their child a scorpion if they ask for an egg. Our Father in Heaven knows how to give the best (spiritual) gifts to His children.
If you, as an adult are still receiving gifts from the mall that you hadnt asked for then you are kinda doing it wrong. lol

This thread is not about the way in which you or anyone else celebrates Christmas.
This is another brother who sees what I see only from a different angle.
Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
Christmas provides a contrast between people who are evil giving good gifts to their children and God giving good gifts to His children.
Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
The point is to ask the Father for the Holy Spirit. If you are doing that then yes, "you are doing it right". The celebration is about teaching you how to pray whereas the pagan practice teaches you to ask for things God teaches us to ask for the Holy Spirit. The pagan practice teaches you to write a letter to Santa (Satan) the Bible teaches us to ask the Father.

I'm convinced that the reason we see this so often among leaders is the fault of the church.
Preachers have been telling us for so long we don't have to obey the Ten Commandments because of their despise of the Sabbath commandment that "freedom in Christ" has come to mean I have sex with any hottie I want no matter if she's wearing a ballroom gown or a baptismal gown and God's gonna forgive me anyway.
If you're saying we have to obey the Sabbath you're no different than the Judaizers were in Paul's day. We know what Paul had to say about Judaizers. What makes you think you can just ignore his teaching abut this? Did some person tell you it's okay?
haha people in the Uk dont believe in santa, they call who they ask for gifts 'Father Christmas' (Whom most people know is Our Father in Heaven. )

Santa is the spanish name for 'Saint'. Eg a Christian. Many Christians give gifts to people espcially those who are poor and cannot afford to buy things of their own....like children.
maybe you are getting stuff from the movies. Hollywood like to make a lot of junk up. eg santa lives in the north pole, he has elves and flying reindeer etc. Most people know that is just made up. If you go the north pole theres only ice there which is melting due to global warming (or climate change as politcally correct like to call it)

Growing up I knew it was my sister buying all the presents and pretending it was from santa. My parents never gave me anything for christmas... we celebrated Chinese New Year and its always expected that parents give their children pocket money, so all the santa stuff that people talked about was weird.
I have celebrated Chinese New Year in Taiwan and I found the celebration quite weird. For those who don't know everyone gets envelopes with cash, then they sit around the table and play poker.
Gambling is a very big part of Chinese life, you can hear the Mah Jhong being played all night long.
well I never played poker with mine.
It was usally spent on food.
Like yum cha with mum whos pocket provided the cash lol.
Or she would say 'save it' and put it in the bank. I always thought she was a bit silly for saying that because why would she give us the money then. She could just direct credit it to my bank account. Then she would ask for the lucky red packets back because they were hard to find and she wanted to reuse them for next year lol

Judaizers told people to keep the law of Moses. I'm telling people to keep the Ten Commandments...unless you want to argue they were nailed to the Cross along with the Mosaic Law, which begs the question: can we now put Satan before God and worship the "god of darkness"? Or, can we now steal, rape, murder, etc.?
Oh, so it's true! You only have a problem with that Sabbath commandment, but you're cool with the other nine, right? Why? It's a commandment to REST!
Who's worshiping EGW? I worship Jesus, and He said, "If ye love Me, keep MY commandments" which includes the Sabbath He spoke out loud in the hearing of the people at Sinai and wrote with His own finger in stone.
BTW, 1 John 2:3-2 KJV says those who say they worship Jesus but refuse to keep His commandments are liars and the truth is not in them.
what i was referring to was the belief that non- Sabbath keeping is the mark of the beast.

Time and time again, when Satan wanted to get God's people in trouble, he'd get his scoundrels to pass a law that contradicted God's law, then force them to either obey or die. But, that's not going to happen in the end, right?
