so i live in south Florida, and as some of you may know, the African American culture is pretty strong down here and the result is you here the N word all over the place: in classrooms, malls, parks restaurants, buses...etc and its used by kids of every race...so what happens is that kids in church use it too, some call Jesus their N word and what not

its a serious question, so give me some juicy answers

More specifically, I wouldn't be calling Christ by a name generally used in the manner that the word you specify is.

to make it clearer, the word "nigga," and used in such sense would mean that Jesus is his friend but i know to many it would be wrong and hurtful
 
Its blasphemy plain and simple. That word was invented by the racist white slave owners who used it as a derogatory (insulting) term. (NOTE: I'm not trying to say that whites are racist)
 
hmmm, yes pretty much blasphemy. They are not giving Christ the honor, respect, adoration, and glory that He very much deserves.

Jesus is almighty God, to whose face the stars and the planets run away from. He deserves to be feared and obeyed and worshiped. He doesn't take it very lightly when someone tramples over His name.

i can see how it would be okay, you have to take the connotation and the meaning behind their saying the word.

they may mean it approriately in their own language, showing not disrespect for the name of Jesus

but then they may be, and dishonoring the name of Jesus, of Christ.

So, listen, and figure it out.

What can you do though, if it bothers you, just a matter of living on the earth with ignoranct, unknowing, uneducated about spiritual things humans. So, either you help them change, and they be open to it, and cooperative, or you ignore it and move on with your life.

Good point. To form an enlightened opinion about this, we would have to know who else these people were referring to by the same word. I once saw a bumper sticker which read "God is The Bomb". In the jargon of the day, this was the highest praise you could offer to somebody. :)
 
Jesus has alot of titles but I am sure that isn't one of them,He is the only begotten Son of the one true living GOD.Watch what you say because the word of God says we will give account for every idle word and to me,that is very idle and totally disrespectful.GOD bless and keep you all in HIS mercy,AMEN.
