The Gifts of the Spirit are deposited into Blood Washed Saints as the Spirit desires.

The Apostle Paul said:
There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. For in fact the body is not one member but many.

If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. And if they were all one member, where would the body be?

But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty, but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it, that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.

PLEASE Read this carefully, a number of times, and let me know if this gives you a clearer understanding of the Gift of Tongues.
For clear understanding is not only chapter 12. the more excellent way turns in chapter 13. Love!
The 1. Cor. Shows that speaking in tongues was used as i find it today. Overpushed.
Paul had to correct the corinthians and there view about speaking in tongues.
In the last days i read 1. Cor 12-14.
And it fitts not with the today teaching of special those which emphesize the baptism with the Holy Spirit and the gift of speaking in tongues. Take for example the role of the woman in such churches. What Paul wrote in 1. Cor. 14, 33ff. ? Compare it with which role woman have in their churches.
(I know many will not agree with me)

Also it is not important how much someone is reading the bible or certain verses. It is the Holy Spirit who reveals the scripture to someone.

I was merely asking a question based upon how your post read.
And there are no ways to fake a real true Miracle of God. It either is or it is not. And there should be the type of proof that is unquestionable. So, if someone were to say they can prove a Miracle, it would require more than just Joe the neighbor, from down the road a ways.
Yes, I agree, it's why there has to be a team of expert linguists and elders in the church, because what's happening today is so deceptive and controversial. Miracles in scripture were proof in themselves, and did not require careful examination because it was obvious. In Acts 8, 10, and 19, the apostles did not merely assume that gibberish talk was the gift of the Spirit. They knew it was the same thing described in Acts 2. What's happening today is construed miraculous only to those who have a vested interest in believing it is, yet many prominent leaders in the churches are duped into accepting it blindly, just because it seems like it.

LOL, not all miracles were clearly seen, many heard about them. So you are wrong. You put a standard on the works of God to satisfy your unbelief. Just like the Pharisees did.
I disagree with your assessment. The Pharisees did not question the miraculous nature of what Jesus was doing. Instead, they acknowledged it, and went so far once as saying it was of the devil, which is further proof that they knew it was miraculous. Your interpretation is invalid, therefore your application is invalid.

Whoa!! Back that horse waaay up! The Bible is the inspired Word of God! It isn't man's opinions. Men wrote under inspiration and the leading of God. If all we have are mens opinions then we have no hope of heaven and the Bible is no different than reading a People's magazine. Sorry, you're seriously in error here.

2 Tim. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

Over 400 times the Bible says "thus saith the Lord".

Prov. 30 Every word of God proves true

Is. 55
so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but sit shall accomplish that which I purpose

So with the help of the Holy Spirit, inspired men wrote the Word of God. Not mens opinions.
So you want people to believe God himself wrote the bible? Are you serious? Only a naive person would believe that. People should teach more realistic material, and I think people would have a better understanding of Christ himself.

lol you have an issue with this foolishness most of us already addressed it, You look at this and think it represents all that makes you foolish. You use secular humanism to disprove those who abuse the gifts of the Holy Sprit why? You have a lot in common with Balem, and maybe you should rethink your approach.
Yet more false judgments from you. I get the idea that you think me foolish because you think of yourself as foolish. I get the idea that since you refuse to live up to my challenge, that you inherently know that your practice is false. What other motive would you have for such hostile judgments you make?

Well, the bible itself says that the scripture is given from God/Holy Spirit.
This has nothing to do with beeing naive. It has to do with faith!

Do you believe that Miracles do not happen Today?

Do you need proof that Miracles happen Today to True followers of God?

I can offer proof of what just happened 2 weeks ago if you need proof that God is still performing Miracles.
Why do you keep asking me this? Did you actually read my original post here?
https://christianchat.com/threads/tongues-false-teaching.196454/post-4737227

Can you see that I am trying to get people to be part of the solution, not the problem?

If you have attended as many Pentecostal church meetings as I have you will agree that what is seen in all of them is the habit of "SPEAKING" in Tongues.

It is a method of speaking in such a way that no one understands what is said.
No one interprets what is muttered.
Women it seems are the ones who do most of the "Tongues" noises.

Now, allow me to say that I have been there and done that. However as I grew older and actually READ what the Bible says it becmae very clear that what is seen today is NOT BIBLICAL tongues as recorded in the Bible.

So then, instead of just accepting what we have been told or doing what we WANT to do, shall we actually see what the Bible does it fact say??????

Acts 2:7-11............
"And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God."

Notice the phrase in Acts 2:11, "our tongues." The crowds heard the Apostles preach in their own native tongues, not some unknown heavenly jibber jabber. There was NEVER any heavenly languages spoken that no one understood and required an interpreter.

There is a drastic difference between Biblical tongues and the heretical speaking in tongues we see in churches today.

The "speaking in tongues" which the Pentecostals foolishly practice are UNKNOWN tongues, not anything found on earth. Supposedly, those unknown tongues can only be interpreted by ONE spirit-filled member of the congregation.

The Apostle Paul speaks common sense to us Corinthians 14:19...
"Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue."

Now before replying to this post from an "Emotional" response, and actually that is what speaking in tongues is, an EMOTIONAL event, take the time to do the work first.

Read 1 Corinthians chapters 12-14. Anyone can see that they are "Corrective" Chapters from Paul to the church and the CONTEXT is .....ready.....
Speaking in tongues".

Now that being the correct hermeneutical point then notice carefully chapter 14:34........
"Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law. "

Literally....the CONTEXT demands that "women are not permitted to speak in TONGUES in church".

Without women speaking in tongues there is then in fact no tongues movement at all.

All you are saying is that you have never received the gift of tongues, you are one of the jibber jabbers, your area of expertise therefore is in the subject of jibber jabbery.

Even if you had stood in the crowd at Pentecost you would have been among those who mocked saying "these men are drunk"

Your argument here is well thought out and articulated.

Except for this part which you said: "So, as I spoke before, God does heal today, and some of those healings are well documented. But I've yet to see any so-called 'tongues' well documented. I'm asking people who have the gift to well document it, so that it's a clear testimony that God is in it. So far, everyone who has documented it has proven the opposite."

A.) God heals today only when they are documented?
B.) Tongues are for today only if they can be documented?

YES or NO to A & B
I just don't see your logic on how you jump from what I said to your questions. You are obviously making assumptions that don't exist in my posts. Did you read my original post here: https://christianchat.com/threads/tongues-false-teaching.196454/post-4737227
Can you see that I'm trying to get people to be a part of the solution, not the problem?

Documenting miraculous acts can be very uplifting and edifying. But merely claiming something is miraculous doesn't make it so. I'm a realist, which means I don't blindly accept what any person says, especially since I discovered I was deceived when I did blindly accept it. Fool me once...

There has been much acknowledgement among Charismatics that there is a false tongues, and I assert that it is much more prominent than people care to admit. Do you agree there has to be a major correction among the churches concerning this issue?

I know you logged off, because, anyone who looks at those pictures (1) Satellite and (2) police drone during Investigation can feel the Power of God. But would YOU like the Testimonies of the three people who confirmed my Angel encounter by their own encounter of the Same Angel while helping to stop the fire all on my property?

And just an FYI, this Miracle that several hundred people witnessed from fire fighters to police to neighbors to reporters saw the Power of God intervening for a Modern Day Tongue Speaking, Miracle Believing, Man of God!
Why do you keep assuming I don't believe in miracles? Please stop judging, and start trying to understand what I'm saying.

How many evangelical churches can you find on Sunday where the folks sing hymns but do not praise, preach unctionless sermons, pray prayers tuned more to the human mind than to getting hold of God.

Nor does anybody get saved ....

I known unbelievers and Mormons who went to pentecostal and charismatic churches stood up alone and said something in their native languages. No one exposed them as frauds, nor gave a interpretation even close to what they really said. Where is the gift of discernment in those churches?
ask that church LOL

they even said Jesus was healed by the power of the devil. You need to read the word of God guy.
