In the New Testament, could someone please show me and example that plainly says, so and so was Baptized with fire.
I don't want to suppose, or speculate.
I want clear Biblical evidence that clearly shows a person being Baptized with fire, not will be, but actual Baptism with fire.

Chapter and verse please.

Ah the FIRE BAPTISM..... I am wretched, and miserable and poor and blind and naked! What does God advize me to do.... To buy of HIM gold tried with FIRE that I may be rich! That I may also aquire a WHITE raiment (also from Him) to be clothed, that I can also get eyesalve to anoint my eyes so that I can see (again only from Him)! Now where is this Store? Where is the supplies, and how can I buy it if I am poor?
Well! I am not poor! I have legs, arms eyes mouth and my whole body, what would i get for this body from God? Is there a way I can offer my whole self to God? And where do i do this?
Look here!!!! Jesus said if we hear the Word and DO THE WORD, THEN..... Ah So Jesus actually FIRST baptize with the Fire then the Spirit. And the baptism with FiRE is it the cleansing when we start HEARING AND DOING! It is not like one evening you go to sleep never hearing the Word, and never doing the Word, and the next mornng you stand up and you KNOW all the Word and DO all the Word! It is a process, and the length o the process is determined by God! Is it not also weird that if we die off ourselves we actually GROW IN TRUTH! So the less of me the more of God! Is it then, AFTER the Fire of the WORD has done what He is supposed to, then the GOLD IS PURIFIED! ALL THE COBUS IS BURNT OFF AND ONLY GODS GOLD REMAINS! Yes that is how i experience the FIRE OF GOD. And the Word of God does not return EMPTY HANDED!
In the begiining was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.... And the Word became Man and lived amonst us... And the World CANNOT recieve the Word, but only the CHOSEN! The ones tried by FIRE and still remained! MAY we be Chosen! Amen!

Barely seen it. have you read the passages in question? I have to wonder now.. since you think I slipped it in!!

Matthew 3:11–12 (NKJV)
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. 12 His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

Luke 3:16–17 (NKJV)
16 John answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. 17 His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather the wheat into His barn; but the chaff He will burn with unquenchable fire.”

Hmmm. Seems John called it inqunchiable. or a fire which will never stop burning. And you say I slipped it in?

As I said, your rejecting context of the passage.. Context says the baptism of fire is a baptism in a fire that shall never be quenched. John said it. Not me!

Yes several times you have put the word unquenchable into Luke 3:16 rather than where it actually is in 3:17. Then you throw around words. Ive called on it a few times and you dont see it, but seem to justify it.

Good Job Zone, high fives.

I already did this. The days of Penticost shows it by a sign to represent the work...which is not immediate, so give the high fives back

you appear to see in that passage that Jesus baptises Christians with fire.

i disagree.

Well first i leave the words all intact....whatever i do whether i see the right or the wrong intent of the scripture i dont shift the words around to suit my fancy.

Haha this is so funny...you know im only reading the plain words...ha...and you say im reading the plain words and seeing the plain words so therefore you disagree with me..and in order to properly understand the plain words id have to word shuffle. Ok

Truthfully it does not matter as much as being baptized by the HOLY SPIRIT and water.

If you believe that the Holy Spirit does the work of or is God's fire by convicting and sanctifying then that is fine as long as God's in control.

I think this is one of those "doubtful things" we are suppose to avoid...hmmm...

John did not say anything about baptizing gold in fire. or anything else. He said Christ would baptize people with fire.

Why are people trying to twist what God says.

Yes. Scripture talks about gold being refined. our works being tried with fire. But this is not the context of what John is saying. He said PEOPLE would be baptized WITH fire. When you baptize in water. you put a person in water. When you baptize in Christ's body. you put in Christ. If you are baptized in fire. you are put in Fire. And John makes it clear. This chaff will be burned with a fire that will never be quenched.

I don't get it.

Hmm. try rereading what I posted.. Here I will show it to ya.

Luke 3:16–17 (NKJV)
16 John answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. There I bolded the 17, can you see it now? You do know the origional text was not written in verse form do you not? What we have today is mans idea of how verses would have been put in. Luke 16 and 17 was one thought. one idea, they can not be separated. One explains the other. Trying to separate them destroys context. and the main idea of what John was saying.

I justify what? You have called out what? That you do not see the word unquenchable? Yes we know that. Now you have been called out twice by saying things which are not true. You say I slipped unquenchable in. I did not. You say I did not use 17. I did.

Any more excuses?

It is dangerous to avoid. Because avoiding it will let people think Hell is not eternal, and the flames will eventually be quenched. and it will not be an eternal suffering. It is dangerous though. and why many decide they would rather live with sin, and a short time of suffering in eternity. rather than recieve Christ. I mean why bother. God is not going to baptize anyone in an eternal flame

Furthermore God in His mercy knows who are His and will continue to purify us in His fire(1pet1:7) and continue to wash and regenerate us by the Holyspirit(titus3:5). In spite of our study errors..amen

You know you can teach anything you want here i spose...but try to do it in a way that you dont have to rewrite verses.

I understand the sentiment of protecting the teaching of judgement and eternal unquenchable fire.

I understand the sentiment of the dishonor of God charismatic freaks provide

But there is also a sentiment to leave the word of God as written. Ponder study dialogue. but leave it as its written.

Wow. Talk about twisting a verse. Peter says our faith is tested. Much like God is refined by fire ( a literal thing which happens which is used to show or symbolize what God does) and this refining of our faith glorifies God.

Where is the word baptize here?? God does not test our faith with fire. He refines our faith by testing us. Like men refine God with fire. Fire here is a symbolic use. Fire in Johns messahe of baptizing with fire is a literal use.

Wow, the extremes to which people will go to prove their point :(

Dude, I am trying to be nice here. Do you have anything reasonable to say? Of course it is in verse 17. I never claimed it wasn't. So tell me, Why do you want to remove it from the baptism of Fire? Are you going to answer or make ad hominem attacks?

Amen. I agree, Leave it as written. And God said through inspiration of the HS that baptism of fire is where God burns Chaff with a fire that shall never be quenched. So why do you wish to remove this aspect?
