I published four books on Amazon via KDP, Kindle Direct Publishing. It doesn't cost anything up front, so it's a good first book publishing option. I recommend it, but there's a couple downsides. Amazon takes a big cut... :/

Unfortunately I know! I self-published a novella back in 2011 and you’re right, they do take a chunk out of your royalties. I’m about to self-publish again but need to relearn how. I assume KDP has a guide.

Did you purchase an ISBN or register your copyright?

It is a clean romance but more about the quest of the guy to get the girl. He doesn’t end up with her until the end. But he finds her in - what I hope, anyway - is a unique way.

Once I am about ready to publish I will have a more detailed synopsis available. And will almost certainly share here, if that’s permitted.

Yes, there are tons of KDP guides and tools, they make it pretty easy.

Amazon will give you an ISBN that they generate for you when you publish with KDP. I did register my copyright for one of my books with the Library of Congress. Probably should do the others at some point, though technically just by putting "copyrighted J.States" on it it's done. If there were a legal dispute I could easily prove authorship.

Don't see why not. There's a Miscellaneous forum. It would be good book exposure.

I am a writer also, but usually if I am on here it is because I am procrastinating from something I should be writing. Haha! Unfortunately true.

Hi I am hoping to write my first book about how God brought single Christians together... I want this book to glorify God and also to encourage Christians who are single and don’t want to be... I know of quite a few married Christians with amazing testimonies. Please pray for me and any advice would be appreciated. 🙂🦋
