writing opens doors, pose as an undercover journalist and you can get a free press pass to report on things like restaurants, concerts etc for any entertainment issue, or in todays digtal world, you do you tube video reviews where you v-log and monetise your endorsements.

Hence terrible 'reality' shows like Next Top Model . NOwadays its baking and cooking skills...but the restuarant and hospo industry can be cut throat.
Today the biggest thing with being single is to VALUE your education. People can get married and divorced, children leave, but if you learn skills they cant be taken away from you...with your hands and your mind (brain). God gave you these so use them.

There is a torch on your cellphone
I think some ppl forget this but it handy when you need to have a light.
phone covers...A lot of people just have these plastic cases and I wonder what the point of them are because the phones are ALREADY in a plastic casing. What you need is a cover that goes over your screen so it doesnt get scratched or broken, just get one that closes with a magnet..and some of them have handy pockets for things like cards.
Sort of like those old flip phones (I did have, they were great because I could close them and not think about them when they were closed) but it seemed the designers then went in for little caluclator type bricks that looked like remote controls and the current design which is way too big to fit in your pocket.
If you are going to take photos on your phone of someone ASK permission because I dont know about you but I dont appreciate it when friends say they are taking photos and then tag you on insta or fb cos I am not on those sites anyway.
Its more polite to take pics and send them via email not share them with the entire universe.

most useful app I found is when driving somewhere unfamiliar esp on your own...google maps.
Use the GPS voice directions.
Its pretty good and keeps up to date so you dont need to worry
However even so, keep a paper or book road map in your car for times when battery is low etc
even though you should just keep a phone charger in your car as well.
do plan ahead trips...navigating city roads isnt always the easiest thing to do. Decide the best route to take that will save on petrol costs or avoid heavy traffic...and pray you reach your destination safely

My personal biggest hack or the one I use the most would have to be credit cards. I am debt free and can't recall the last time I used or even carried any cash on me. I just for as many years I recall used my debit card until about 4 to 5 years ago started using credit cards instead.
So I just use my credit card as a debit card. I make the purchase then go home get on my credit cards web page and then just transfer from my bank to my card the amount I just spent. So effectively using it to do the same as a debit card.
I started to do this and continue to do this because of rewards programs. Which I exclusively always use the cash rewards programs. All of us have certain set expenses. Take for example monthly food bill. I am sure every person and household their monthly food bill varies. So for this example we will just say the monthly food bill is 200 bucks or whatever your currency may be the Loonie, cable, kiwi, Aussie, or etc.
That comes to a yearly spent amount of 2400 bucks. So the card I use exclusively for buying food has a cash rewards program of 5% cashback. So at the end of the year I have 120 bucks sitting in that account. I have different cards I use for different purchases because you can shop around and get different cards that will pay 5% for a specific type of purchase in cash rewards. So depending on the individuals or household you can end up with a few hundred to thousands of dollars sitting in the accounts.
So then what I do is just use that money towards buying my yearly Christmas gifts for friends and family. You can I believe like credit karma is one as well as nerd wallet or motley fool. You can go on these sites and they have a list of credit cards and how each cash back program works and what type of purchases will earn the 5% cash back rewards programs.
I even at times will keep a eye out for some kind of introductory program that say for 3 months will pay double back if x amount of purchases are made. As well as other introductory programs that just fit my lifestyle and spending.
So the gist of it is money I will spend regardless because the cost of living. I pay for this using credit cards like a debit card make my purchase then go home and transfer monies from my bank to the card. The rebated cash then can be used for what have ya. Money towards a vacation. Fly family members out to see ya. Buying Christmas gifts. Use it for enjoying your yearly wedding anniversary. Or even take that money and use it to drop in some kind of self controlled retirement program such as a IRA. That way you can fund it as well as pick up a tax write off. So anyway can use the cash back in any number of ways.

for the single person theres probably a myriad of hook up/dating apps that ppl use but Im going to say be very careful on those because chatting with strangers is one thing but inviting them into your life and being alone with them is another.

I just transfer fixed amounts at at a time to spending account so that if anyone steals my debit card or falls into wrong hands they wont clean me out from savings, which the card has no access to. savings do accumulate interest over a certain amount. If you can invest it wisely otherwise just be generous and give regularly to whoever in need (my thing is op shops) God will see you give to the poor and He will pay you back.

I note a lot of people using afterpay (it splits payments into four equal amounts over a fortnight I think) and I think that is a good thing to use when you are a bit tight for money and have to pay a big bill..or for an expensive item as there is no interest and it will be easier on your budget, without having to use a credit card.
the good thing about it is paying by installments means you know what you have to pay, its fixed, you get reminders, and there is no big bill at end of the month and accruing debt.
