To you, you can only be righteous if you obey the ten commandments

For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. 1Peter1:23
Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. 2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, 3 now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.1Peter2:1-3
So in your view, none of the above would break the ten commandments?

So now you want to run from the NIV, as you are worried it brings your belief into contradiction.

I will not say that I understand everything that is written; but I am growing in my understanding every day and may understand more than you might be willing to admit.

Not really, I just prefer the kjv as i consider it to be inspired and inerrant over and above other translations; and that any time there is a discrepancy, it trumps other versions.

Yes (1 John 3:4,9).

Whats the difference between the spirit of the law and the letter of the law?
