Hello to my fellow believers! I’m a passionate Christian man in his early thirties. I was attracted to this site for the opportunity to have profitable conversations with other Christians. I have a long storied experience with Christianity. I’ve honestly dived deeply into the intellectual side of our faith, tackling Christian philosophy, theology, and apologetics. But I’m also down to earth, easy to relate to, and quite the good listener conversation wise. So if you’re interested in just chatting about life or perhaps the more deep and abstract, I’m down for either. Hope to make some enjoyable connections here. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to chat and get to know each other. Thank you. View attachment 235214
Oh we like to talk about stuff. Welcome :)

Thats good.

Christian Apologetics can be pretty lame if it is mistaken for a love fest - but substantive apologetics can be beneficial I think if set into a clear theological framework. Having said that theologies can also be divisive too.

Christian Philosophy is perhaps even more difficult unless we mean a manner of speaking in which case philosophy may be simply vain. If we mean philosophy as a genuine bedrock set into recognised frameworks then philosophy can be an apologetic exercise and that then can also become divisive as well.

Theology therefore is the big gun and swinging a Howitzer Canon around is likely to get some one injured.

Well at least that is my own experience at least.

So I was wondering how you start in a Christian apologetic on the subject of Salvation!

That subject as defined theologically in a formal meaning can be pretty substantive - whereas in its living meaning speaks of Christ as our Salvation.

You all seem to be more educated than I am. Jesus was born from a virgin, He died on the cross for us. Took all of our sins. He rose again after 3 days. I'm simple. Wife was ate up with all kinda cancers. Pretty thing died at hospital when I thought we be going home together, in a short time. She left me like that. My wife will be riding a horse, which she was afraid of doing, behind Jesus. Not quite sure what these Christian philosophies, theology, and apologetics are, though.

Education is fine when it is needed - when it isn't needed life experience can be more helpful in ordinary things. But philosophy, theology and apologetics are just educational tools to help explain ideas about life - in this case that would mean Christian life. Having said that - knowing the Lord more personally and seeking to obey the leading of the Holy Spirit is most likely to produce the best outcome. Learning can produce fools when it comes to real life - just as folks who are always thrown about by their emotions and a disturbed mind will find that seeing Jesus and desiring to live a life pleasing to Him may no be easily found. Don't quit brother until you have determined that your supposed lack of education is your problem - and before you know that your desire to quit is a leading of God. God bless.

I knew I was the guy you were talking about - and I am the guy who said don't quit until you have tested the course and found the purpose of God in being here. It cannot have been to rush in - take a break and then rush right back out.

And if it is any comfort to you brother - I attended a special school for educationally maladjusted children from 1969 through 1976. Things are not what they seem when the Lord gets hold of our lives. So I said don't leave until you have been led of the Lord to leave. I meant to say that just as I meant to write my posts which you have drawn attention to. God bless you.

I knew that also brother because you posted to a staff member on another post asking her if she was a Cherokee. You then posted that you wanted to leave. So having read that I added that meaning in this thread where you have also said the same thing.. But of course you can do as you wish. In this thread I was also answering the fact that you told me I was the guy that caused you to post your comment to which I replied. Don't despise common sense and don't despise intelligence. And try to get some reality into your words that in context make sense for other people - or if you must hide your meanings for a reason - talk their heads off. Smart guy you say? I am happy to be the dullest man around - just don't try to take me in a neck lock or I may talk you to death. :D

Hope you find what you came for. God bless.

Brother, I can't speak for that sister. But I didn't see any reaction to asking her a simple question - but I did wonder about asking a blond haired woman if she was a Cherokee. Im British so that's rather like asking an ancient Pict in Scotland with raven black hair if they are a Norse (Viking) with blond hair. Apart from that brother I have no say in the forum. I joined just a week before you did. Take it easy. God Bless.

Cherokees measure the blood. fullblood, half, a 1/4. They go on for every drop. Members mean more money for the tribe from the government. Gonna quit this site. My email is [email protected]. Anytime that you wanna talk please do. was in England years ago. Some Mexicans look like her. I meant no harm or anything bad. do that google thing.

There I wasn't too impressed with the Brits, sorry. Spain was the worst. Italy was almost like Spain. Germany the warmongers I always thought, they were really friendly. and nice. Back when there was an east and west there.
