Seems like we hear/read a lot of christians talking far too much about defeat and failure. What are some of the best ways you've found to shake it off and try again?

An old Clint Eastwood movie or a good documentary about US soldiers in rigorous training or at war usually does it for me.

BLESS, then go ahead and BLESS some more.
Along the lines of, I don't like this situation, I don't understand Your will for me to be hurt like I have, but BLESSED be Your Name, Your ways are above my ways, and by Your grace I want to bow the knee.
In an instant You can change this situation, amen? AMEN!

Failure or instantaneous defeat are just chances to start over again in order to do something better. God said He shall bless the work of our hands and all things work together for good to those who love the Lord. So when am faced with failure, I just pray that God gets me over it and that He gives me peace, coz I know His plans are the best!

For me, it's usually a bit of time. If I mess up again, for the umpteenth time, I need to take a moment to step back, usually by doing something else. Then when I come back a bit later, it usually goes a lot easier.

As far as the title of the thread is concerned...I suppose I could use some tattoos on my forearms.

I'm stubborn so i don't accept failure. If i have done something the first time around and failed, i figure out what it was that i did wrong and i change that, then i try again. If i fail a second time i do the same thing, re evaluate the situation and look at it from all possible angles then go at it again. I continue to do this until there is success at whatever it is im trying. When i set my mind to do something, i do whatever it takes.

I don't believe in failure. As long as you are not dead you can keep trying.

I do something similar. Some times I get really frustrated and quit for a while, but my mind works on what to do to figure it out.

Let's learn from children who are learning to walk. Success is the ability to get up when we fall.

If we don't have the strength to get up, Jesus is willing to help you. He is our strength.
