Does the following sound like current day Israel has anything to do with eschatology?
Rabbis had a problem after 70 A.D., JESUS left them without a way to Atone. They had to cobble something together that sounded like a religion. JESUS is obviously the High Priest now, but they refuse Him. They wanted a physical beast king and to rule the planet …well, sorry, that’s not how this works.
Jeremiah 31:31-34
31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:
“I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.”

Did satan have something to do with what rabbis did to twist the truth of Judaism?
Amen people have a hard time accepting the terms of the old covenant

if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant: I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and
your high ways shall be desolate. And I will bring a
sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities,
I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be
delivered into the hand of the enemy.
And I will
make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours. And
I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it. And I will
scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.”

They broke the covenant and brought forth the curse
“The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof;
because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are
desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.”
Isaiah 24:5-6 KJV
the messiah would come last of all to call Israel to repentance but as that prophecy tells us they would break the covenant

If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.”
Malachi 2:2 KJV
they had a last chance to save their covenant blessing but they curses themselves instead and brought the promosed desolation
“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers,
lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.”

but they did this and caused the abomination of desolation executed 67-70 ad first they beheaded John and then killed Jesus thier savior

But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours. And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard. What shall therefore the Lord of the vineyard do?
he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others.”

that’s how Israel’s covenant came to a conclusion they fulfilled the curse rather than blessing and why we needed a new one not related to the old

The old covenant many can’t see it’s based completely on israels response one way or another blessing if they kept the covenant completely and cursing if they didn’t keep it all they didn’t they defiled it completely and fulfilled the curse for doing so written in it
it’s strange we can’t see this part written again and again in the ot

ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the
Lord God shall slay thee, and
call his servants by another name: That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall
bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by
the God of truth;

behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.”

if we saw that part we could immediately understand that israels restoration doesn’t take place on this earth it takes place in the new creation of Christ
