The bible contains 66 books by 40 different authors inspired by God.
With in these books we have 4 which we refer to as the gospels.
Now have you ever considered that you also are writings a gospel? Maybe not a pen to paper sorta thing but as you live your life in Christ what have your examples been? What words come out of your mouth? Your actions suggest?
What would your spouse say? Your neighbors your friends? Your children?
The 4 gospels are full of knowledge, and wisdom, and truth but if they are read just as a story we would see that it involves common people embarking on a journey of faith just the same as you and I.
The gospel tells us of their beliefs and unbelief. Their fears, their doubts, and failures.
Nothing has really changed other than we cannot see Christ in the physical....but that's suppose to be our part..( a talk for another time).
So what does your gospel say about life in Christ to others?

Your life is composed here...
The gospel according to.....bob the truck driver
The gospel according to ..... Carol the hair dresser
The gospel according to.......fred the store manager
The gospel according to........????? You

Absolutely.

Our lives are to be a mirror reflection of an unregenerate heart, having been Spiritually Circumcised by Christ.

How else are we to obtain a fully Roman's 12:2 Transformation?

How else can we reflect a New Nature?

How else could we put on the "New Man?"

How else can New Life begin?

How else could we possibly reflect the Lord's Glory with increasing measure?

How else could we be Reborn of God, possessing no pattern of sin?

You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone,
revealing that you are a letter of Christ, delivered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on stone tablets but on tablets of human hearts. 2Cor.3:2-3 :)

Amen, @Journeyman - And this is exactly what I was pointing to in my first post.

2 Cor 3:3 - Nice Keystone Passage, here. This shows us the Covenant of Abraham . . . Which is that because Abraham was set apart from the Law by the Circumcision of Christ, and by also receiving the Guiding, Holy Spirit . . . He was enabled to live Faithfully and Blamelessly for the short remainder of his elderly life. These gifts result in living by the Laws of the Spirit of Life. Abraham was placed onto a plane from which he would not deviate. God's Laws were inscribed upon His Heart. Any elements of Evil stone were removed and replaced with the new Heart and Spirit that God spoke about. When Abraham received the Promises of God, he began to live his life by the Laws of the Spirit of Life, no longer following any Laws of the land, Laws that would pre-date Moses (whatever they might be).

We are to have the "Stoney" Sinful Nature carved out of our "Flesh" and turn to Christ to have Him Carve into our bodies the Covenant of the Promised Holy Spirit. "Carving" represents removal and reshaping. With the same knife that we use for removing, we use that same knife for shaping and molding.

During the Operation of Christ, one of the things that Jesus does is "Carve the Spirit of God onto our hearts." This must happen in order to be a Child of God. - The heart of Stone is cut away, which represents the foreskin, and the Spirit of God is carved and crafted into our hearts, meaning that our Sinful Flesh has been removed and we are no longer ugly and diseased, but we have been crafted; Transformed into something much more attractive and healthy. Transformed, the Spirit of God is now represented in the process of physical circumcision, but this physical act was always pointing towards Christ in the Circumcision that only He is capable of providing. For He carves the Spirit of the Lord into our hearts.

Well,
Abraham was a sinner as we all are, but he believed God, even though he never received what God promised him,

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. Heb.11:13

Abrahem was a great man of faith in God.

What do you think Circumcision represented? Was it just some weird thing God wanted us to do with our "members?" Or, do you think it possible that it is a reflection of something that God had done for Abraham?

Is it possible that physical Circumcision, instituted in the life of Abraham, has anything to do with the Circumcision of Christ? Or, is it just some weird circumstance that circumcision is the Purpose, Work, and Effect producing Act that brings forth Purity?

Colossians 2:11, 13 NLT - "When you came to Christ, you were "circumcised," but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision--the cutting away of your sinful nature. ... 13 You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins."

Is it possible that this circumcision is why Abraham is our Father of Faith?

Romans 4:11-12 NLT - "Circumcision was a sign that Abraham already had faith and that God had already accepted him and declared him to be righteous--even before he was circumcised. So Abraham is the spiritual father of those who have faith but have not been circumcised. They are counted as righteous because of their faith. And Abraham is also the spiritual father of those who have been circumcised, but only if they have the same kind of faith Abraham had before he was circumcised."

Is it possible that Spiritual Circumcision is the reason why Jesus is the Son of David, who is the Son of Abraham?

Matthew 1:1 KJV - "The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham."

Have you ever considered the Circumcision of Christ . . . and why NO ONE talks about it?

Have you ever considered that Spiritual Circumcision is why the Pharisees, Sadducees, and teachers of the old Law thought that they knew what they were talking about, but in actuality, they did not?

John 9:39 NLT - "Then Jesus told him, "I entered this world to render judgment--to give sight to the blind and to show those who think they see that they are blind."

Romans 11:7-8 NLT - "So this is the situation: Most of the people of Israel have not found the favor of God they are looking for so earnestly. A few have--the ones God has chosen--but the hearts of the rest were hardened. As the Scriptures say, "God has put them into a deep sleep. To this day he has shut their eyes so they do not see, and closed their ears so they do not hear."

Have you ever wondered if the Veil of Moses had anything to do with the Spiritual Circumcision of Christ?

2 Corinthians 3:14-15 NLT - "But the people's minds were hardened, and to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, the same veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ. Yes, even today when they read Moses' writings, their hearts are covered with that veil, and they do not understand."

Memorize all of Colossians 2:9-15 and study these SEVEN verses in every translation until your heart is Transformed by Christ.

Romans 12:2 NLT - "Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect."

A person is only Transformed when their Sinful Nature is cut away and replaced with the Divine Nature.

2 Peter 1:4 NLT - "And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world's corruption caused by human desires."

When the Sinful Nature has been cut away and removed forever, and is subsequently replaced with the Divine Nature, this is what a believer begins to live by the fourth stage of the "law," the Laws of the Spirit of Life.

Romans 8:2 KJV - "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."

I have just offered you the True Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please take note of all these passages that your pastor has never taught you and embrace them. And, after they have changed you, take these passages to your pastor and question him or her and ask them why? "Why have you kept these passages from me? From us? You knew they were they, yet you avoided them like Covid-19. Why? Explain yourself now!"

I have considered it now 🙂 I would say we’re actually not creating a gospel but we are living an epistle or are living epistles

the gospel is the eye witness accounts we have of Jesus the Christs life in earth from his birth into this world to his ascension to the throne in heaven a record of his time in the flesh and immediately afterwards.

I think it’s why the apostles letters and witnesses to the church are epistles whereas the accounts of Jesus life ministry death resurrection and ascension is called the gospel

Definately get your point though we are writing a bit of an epistle every day with our lives

My experience is that as long as I don't deal with people, things go smoothly, such as going to Work and after work. As long as it's not my delay, I can quickly wait for the bus at the bus stop. It won't rain on the way to the church at the weekend. Although it may be cloudy, this is my conclusion after careful observation,Faith does make me feel warm and happy😁

For a testament to be considered valid, there must be the DEATH of the testator, Heb9:16/17.

We are LIVING epistles as Pilgrimshope has stated, epistles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Just as he took up the cross that had our death and sin by the law so must we take up our cross daily and follow him!

John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
John 13:35 By this shall ALL MEN KNOW THAT YE ARE MY DISCIPLES,if ye have LOVE one to another.

Well, in all fairness to pastors, I think a lot of churches are like school. They dumb it all down to the lowest common denominator. Milk, not meat. But you are very correct in that "ALL Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable." We should be digging deeper and deeper into these things and learning more and more, constantly.

Sadly, as you say, many churches are not very Biblically deep/rooted.

amen Abrahams life was an outward sign of his faith he made a couple mistakes but what defined him is that he first believed and from that belief he obeyed what God was telling him would bless him and bless all nations

first he heard and believed God would give him a seed

“And, behold, the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir. And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.

And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭15:4-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭22:18‬ ‭KJV‬

“Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭26:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Abraham believed what god told him but he also always obeyed. Like with circumcision

“And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭17:9-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Abraham obeyed as he always did because he did believe faith and works go together faith first brings the right works

To me, the circumcision of Abraham was an outward sign of his faith.
If anyone wants to UNDERSTAND the Gospel . . . read the below Scriptures. I seem to be the only one presenting the Gospel in the below manner.

Yes, all that you wrote are the standard replies that a person would hear from most people in most "churches." However, we need to be thinking of MORE than just, "circumcision is an outward sign of faith." There's more to in than that. We need to be thinking of Who performs "it."

Deuteronomy 30:6 KJV - "And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live."

1) "To Love thy Lord"
2) "That thou may life"

These are two elements of the Effect of Spiritual Circumcision. Who Circumcises our heart? God. Why?

1) So that we are Enabled to Love Him with all our heart and soul
2) So that we will possess Eternal Life

Therefore, when the Holy Spirit Circumcises our hearts, we think in an entirely new way. We are able to Love wholeheartedly. And who was Wholehearted?

Numbers 32:11-12 NLT - "Of all those I rescued from Egypt, no one who is twenty years old or older will ever see the land I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, for they have not obeyed me wholeheartedly. The only exceptions are Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite and Joshua son of Nun, for they have wholeheartedly followed the LORD."

Why are they Wholehearted?

Numbers 14:24 NIV - "But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it."

We need to be thinking of MORE than circumcision being reflecting of Faith. We need to understand "how" it is done, and by whome.

Ezekiel 36:25-27 KJV - "Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them."

Do you think that maybe physical circumcision represents what we read above in Ezekiel? In fact, God had Ezekiel record this near exact same set of words in chapter 11. We need to memorize them. Is it possible that this is what happened to Caleb, Joshua, and Abraham?

So what will God do?

1) Cleanse us

How?

1) He will put a new Spirit within us
2) He will take away, or cut away (which is what happens in physical circumcision) the heart made of stone (think stone tablets) and will replace it with a soft, tender, and responsive heart of flesh)

Why?

1) To CAUSE us to obey, to walk in His statues
2) KEEP His judgments
3) And DO them

Is it possible that when the Lord said the below words to Abraham that they were NOT a request, but Holy Edicts?

Genesis 17:1-2 NKJV - "When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, "I [am] Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless. "And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly."

When God told Abraham to Walk and be Blameless, these were not suggestions. These reflect a change of heart. These Holy and Powerful Words very much like,

Genesis 1:3 NKJV - "Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light."

Is it possible that this is what happened? That God changed the heart of Abraham? Is this why Abraham is our Father of Faith?

Again, who changes our hearts?

Romans 2:27-29 NLT - "In fact, uncircumcised Gentiles who keep God's law will condemn you Jews who are circumcised and possess God's law but don't obey it. For you are not a true Jew just because you were born of Jewish parents or because you have gone through the ceremony of circumcision. No, a true Jew is one whose heart is right with God. And true circumcision is not merely obeying the letter of the law; rather, it is a change of heart produced by God's Spirit. And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people."

So earlier, God Spiritually Circumcises, and now the Spirit takes responsibility for Spiritual Circumcision. This is what "True Circumcision" is, a change of heart represented in the physical circumcision instituted in the life of Abraham.

But wait. Who Circumcises hearts?

Colossians 2:11 NLT - "When you came to Christ, you were "circumcised," but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision--the cutting away of your sinful nature."

So wait a second. Who performs Spiritual Circumcision? Is it God, the Holy Spirit, or Christ? Yes. This is vitally important because all three members of the Eternal Godhead take responsibility for Circumcising the hearts of the Elect.

You might print out these explanations of the Gospel that I have offered to you and present them to your pastor and DEMAND that he explain why he, or she, has kept these passages hidden from you.

It is time that we start teaching, preaching, and understanding the True Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Fairness to pastors? Wait a second . . . they're not even teaching the Gospel, and you want me to be fair?

Galatians 1:8 KJV - "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed."

We have a duty, and it is to set our pastors straight. If we don't, they will remain accursed. Is that what we want? Or, do we love those who are not saved?

It is time to start taking the Holy Word of God seriously (I write this to each person who can stomach my words.)

Amen if we want to know the actual gospel we just need to go to Jesus and the gospel and hear and learn and believe

“Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”
‭‭John‬ ‭18:37‬ ‭

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:6-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.”
‭‭John‬ ‭4:23-26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:63‬ ‭

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

would take humility and someone who understood I don’t know anything when I come to Jesus

“Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭10:15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The gospel is not a matter of knowing scripture it is the matter of knowing jesus.
The Pharisees knew scripture, the scribes, the rabbi, well acquainted with the scrolls.
Little did they know the scriptures pointed to the one who they rejected. How sad.
God wanted us more than ever to know his son, to hear him, to follow him.
In turn jesus said to know him is to know the father.
In the old testament God guided the nation of Israel with super natural interventions, miracles beyond our imagination. He has scared the land as a testament to his glory and judgement.
History cannot deny and the dust of the earth has given up proof of the existence of the all mighty.

Then behold God comes in the flesh, his word becomes flesh, his truth becomes flesh. Why?
Because God wants his love to be seen and shared throughout the world.
Jesus has not only commanded us but also enabled us to do this.

Any author of a good book wants to introduce his readers with a captivating scenario that can be imagined as well as seen as a possibility. .....(creation) .
He then leads his readers to the first devastation and it's ripple effects and discloses a mystery....(the fall)
He then leads us to a pre conclusion with a glimmer of hope.....story of noah.
He then opens up the story line.....from abraham to Christ.
Then introduced is the hero.... Jesus
Against all odds he prevails, teaching by example. Knowing that the task at hand is time sensitive he gives charge to those that believe in the cause to carry on the ministry.
He departed in full confidence of his charge with a promise to return.

thats where we are right now but what are we doing?

The Pharisees knew scripture, the scribes, the rabbi, well acquainted with the scrolls.
I hear what you're saying, but the Pharisees, Sadducees, and teachers of the law were blinded to the Scriptures. They all could read it, but certain key passages were not able to be understood; passages such as:

Deuteronomy 30:6 KJV - "And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live."

Ezekiel 11:19 KJV - "And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:

Deuteronomy 10:16 KJV - 16 "Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked."

Paul talks about this when he quoted Isaiah:

Romans 11:7-8 NLT - "So this is the situation: Most of the people of Israel have not found the favor of God they are looking for so earnestly. A few have--the ones God has chosen--but the hearts of the rest were hardened. As the Scriptures say, "God has put them into a deep sleep. To this day he has shut their eyes so they do not see, and closed their ears so they do not hear."

We DO need to know the Scriptures, for if we aren't aware of them (the equivalency of hearing the Word), we can't possibly know who Christ is, as well as the Mysterious Plan of God (Eph chapters 3 & 2) unless He authorizes "special revelation" to an individual person.

What is more, during the days of king Josiah, the Jews were literally without the written Word. Literally, the one copy they had was tucked away in the Temple (at that time filled with debauchery, including male prostitute shrines), but when it was found and read to him for the first time, he tore his clothes (representing the idea that he wanted to die) and immediately began cleaning up Judah . . . his community.

Without the written Word, we are lost.

If we're not familiar with this story, I suggest we all read it. It begins HERE:

2 Kings 22:8 NLT - "Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the court secretary, "I have found the Book of the Law in the LORD's Temple!" Then Hilkiah gave the scroll to Shaphan, and he read it."

Without Jesus you will not know what the written word means.
That's why it became flesh. It all points to him.
Ever notice there is not a gospel according to Jesus. That everything that Jesus did was according to scripture.
Let me give you a example.
You were brought up that on the sabbath no task to be done. You seen your father observe it your mother even your grand parents. It was drilled
Taught, and enforced all the days you can remember. Now along comes Jesus saying follow me. You do then it's the sabbath.....wow your rabbi plans on tasking that day....or plucking grain and eating it.
What do you do?
