Harm reduction...the west should stay out of it before we start something we can't stop. Though the horse is already out of the barn. I believe we are already at war with Russia. I never thought I'd live to see this.
I heard today that 74% of Americans believe that a no-fly zone should be enforced over Ukraine. That means that if a Russian jet flies over the country, a NATO jet would shoot it down. That would start the third world war in earnest! I wouldn't test Putin.
I think there may be a limited nuclear exchange. I hope I'm wrong.

Well they are working on it. Unfortunately they're about 75 years behind. I have more than a strong suspicion that the petrol companies and the auto makers colluded in attempting to make us petrol dependent... Addicts!
Well you should think this one over very carefully. The automobile virtually revolutionized America (and then the rest of the world). Originally there was not enough concern or information about the pollutants produced by the combustion of gasoline. But within the last 20 years there were huge strides in producing clean gasoline and clean emissions from vehicles. No one compelled anyone to buy a vehicle, but it became obvious that vehicles were a necessity for the majority of people in the West. But the pollution in North America is nothing compared to China or India or some of the other countries.

So this whole Green Agenda is actually designed to destroy advanced societies and reduce them to third world hellholes. This is part of a globalist plan to enslave the general populations and enrich the elites.
Windmills have been found to be destructive, and solar vehicles have still not been properly developed (which should have happened long ago). There is no reason why the entire body of a car could not become one huge solar panel. But nobody has bothered to move ahead with this simple solution because it would totally destroy the Green Agenda.

But let's take the stupid Leftist idea of becoming dependent on electric vehicles (as though everyone is making the same income as the stupid elites). First of all they have not even proven themselves as a viable alternative and TESLA has had all kinds of issues and recalls. Secondly they would constantly need to be charged, so where will the electricity come from, and how affordable would it be? Thirdly in order to produce electricity, you would need to burn either coal, or some kind of fuel, or have nuclear reactors all over the country. Fourthly an EMP attack by an enemy would shut down everything including vehicles which are now dependent on electronics (a huge mistake). Can you imagine the disaster from an EMP attack? Also is there any reason to believe that there would be fewer emissions through generating energy for electricity than simply from gasoline? Hydroelectric power is limited.

Points out that the no-fly zone is the same thing as open warfare. You can't do it without striking down Russian jets -- an act of overt war.

This article mentions some other things people need to be aware of. The body count in a simulation done in 2019 with a similar Ukraine-Russia scenario was over one billion when the conflict escalated and went nuclear. And al-Qaida fighters are siding with Ukraine??

From the beginning, my heart has felt that Russia is not the who began this. Russia is retaliating for the tens of thousands of Russian-Ukranians that have been killed over the last number of years by the Ukrainian government. There's a lot more to this conflict than Russia bad, Ukraine good.
The loons in Washington are for war, George Soros is for war, and now we'll be fighting alongside Al Qaeda? Look at the unbalanced propaganda. Have we learned nothing from Covid? I, for one, will not pick up a weapon against Russia.
Think about it, Russia has it's nuclear forces on high alert. There's something not right with this picture, and it's not Russia.
The globalists are trying to start a major war, and I for one won't be sucked into it. Come what may.

I agree but,,, we already butted in if you consider Victor Yanukovch the horse that's already out of the barn https://www.justice.gov/file/1007271/download in that we( our lobbyist) are the ones who set him up in power. This is difficult to argue because he plead guilty to these charges https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/69/Manafort_statement_of_offense.pdf

The intense unending deluge of propaganda in our world today requires a very keen discernment to determine the truth.

Sometimes, the truth is only found in what is not being said...

Me too the sad part is that after the Euromaiden and Maiden revolts then the peoples of Ukraine believed that the free world would help them in this. If we do then it will become ww3(if not already) but if this becomes an slow death where we watch them resist alone then after they fall and are absorbed back into Russia they will never trust us again.

What my adgenda is;

Breaking the strangle hold that the petrochemical companies / (monopolies) have worldwide. Not because I pay any attention to recent political news. In fact I don't have a TV. My opinions came from years of education both from the California Emissions Control Program and studies from the OT about defilers of the land. I would think that would include the air and water.

We've been more than able to build alcohol fueled hybrids FOR DECADES! It works better than propane because a very small amount of (many oils) can easily be added to lubricate the valves.

Propane is notorious for burning valves. The Las Vegas Taxis seem to run well on CNG. Remember; it was my specialty. I have no political connections or affiliations at all. I'm Anabaptist.

There are definitely a lot of interesting technologies that haven't been adequately implemented. The general down side to alcohol based fuels, though, is that it cuts into the food supply. I've heard - not sure if it's true - that they don't burn as cleanly and result in a shorter vehicle/engine life also. I do know that the fuel itself in the case of ethanol-added fuel gets a shelf life, which is annoying.

I think my perspective on defiling the land would be that "defiling" is more chemical pollution than anything. The dumping INTO our waterways and soil and various geoengineering technologies poisoning the sky is just plain awful and unnecessary. Fossil fuels actually come FROM the Earth so if they are harvested responsibly that would just be good stewardship of a natural resource. There's a lot of stuff like strip mining that is irresponsible and could be construed as exploiting the land though.

A lil' tech data; 100% Ethanol doesn't work work well for long but there is an oil treatment that coats the cylinder wall to protect the slight oil coating that comes from the piston rings to keep the cylinder walls from turning shiny & blue. Theirs a treatment as cheap and simple as slick 50 that protects the oil film from getting washed away by the ethanol.

Until metallurgy catches up to speed, E85 for the valves + the treatment will reduce hydrocarbon emissions,,, 85% and last a normal lifetime.

PLUS you can raise the compression ratio from 9/1 for 91 octane to 12-13/1 and will gain more power per gallon because E85 is 107 Octane!

If I didn't know there was going to be a new earth, I'd be more bummed out with the condition of this one. I'm so glad that we are on our way to a better place. Maybe physical death is actually like death to a caterpillar when it becomes a butterfly! I believe so!
I'm in my 60s with a few conditions that statistically should've killed me years ago. So the thought of death is no big deal to me. However, I have 2 kids and 6 grandkids. The thought of them facing war is not pleasant. These freaking globalists!

Proverbs 28:3

A poor man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain that leaveth no food.

I'd recommend getting food to the starving.

I suggest we beat our swords into plowshares and begin to train us an good draft animal. If one was to till the earth and ever be fruitful he must begin by observing just exactly how to grow good dirt. If the soil is poor then grow the crops in it that will grow. Beans and peanuts will add nitrogen to poor soil but anything that does grow should never be discarded. Turn it in,turn it in and what it took out will return. Grow the soil and not the plant at first and the worms and micro organisms will thrive, as soon as you've grown good soil most anything will grow. Beat your swords into plowshares and embrace this wonderful time when we will again till he earth and make it fruitful again.

p.s. here's an suggestion for your first new crop... don't forget that an man's shadow is the most important part of your garden. If an mans shadow is in his garden then the problems within the garden will be seen. And so two shadows of an man being brothers will forget planting one another in an grave and see the wisdom of planting an man. Just don't forget that of all the seeds to plant in the garden you take thought in propping up,pulling he weeds and watering mankind...

A great help for this type of endeavor would be the documentary The Biggest Little Farm (<= link :))

A testament to the immense complexity of nature, The Biggest Little Farm follows two dreamers and a dog on an odyssey to bring harmony to both their lives and 200 acres in the foothills of Ventura County as they naively endeavor to build one of the most diverse farms of its kind in complete coexistence with nature. The land they've chosen is utterly depleted of nutrients and suffering from a brutal drought. The film chronicles eight years of daunting work and outsize idealism as they attempt to create the utopia they seek, planting 10,000 orchard trees and over 200 different crops, and bringing in animals of every kind. On Netflix :D

A neat thing about this farm was that when a flood washed all the topsoil off neighboring
properties, their land remained intact because they had taken care to grow proper ground cover.

I'm the first generation to grow up in the city. Both my grandparents lived off the land. My brother's a farmer and my oldest boy loves growing things. I'm not a city boy, though I've always lived in one. I love wading barefoot through a stream, fishing for speckled trout!

Okay I added it to the list, lol I watched "Winter on fire" day before yesterday It was a real good documentary so thanks. My wife's out of town with one of our family members that caught C-19 back around Christmas. It caused heart problems and pneumonia(she can't shake the pneumonia) and so my wife called and told me she needs to stay another week. My son is staying with me (I'm so old they think I need a babysitter,,,shhh don't tell them I know what they did they don't think I know). But hey anyway thanks for the show to watch I'll give it a whirl.
