It has been taught that Jesus died on Good Friday and rose early Sunday morning. As a result of this teaching, man instituted the holiday called Easter. On Easter Sunday you have Christians, world wide paying tribute to a day, in which they believe Jesus, was resurrected. In researching the scriptures one will find that the whole concept of Jesus dying on a Friday and being resurrected on Sunday is contrary to the bible itself. In other words, this tradition directly contradicts the word of God.

And if Jesus was to be in the grave for three days and three nights, according to the Bible, then Jesus couldn't of died on Good Friday and rose early Easter Sunday morning. So why link Jesus to Easter if it's contrary to the Bible?
According to the Bible, Jesus rose ON the third day, not after three full days, and a biblical day starts at 6:00 am. Jesus may not die on Friday, but he definitely rose on Sunday, which is the first day of the week. All four gospels point to this particular timing. As for Easter, I know that's a variation of Ishtar, I don't like that either, just take it as a pagan verson of First Fruits.

I did an image search and found it online. I do not remember the site, but because it was a large file, I saved it to my hard drive to resize, and I also sharpened it a little. If you right click on the image, a list of options will open from which you can make selections. So you can either find the original online that way, or use the new url I created after I uploaded it to my image host. And I just learned something new, too! One option shows the text from the image in a list. I never knew that could be done. Any ways, if you would just like to use the url I created, it is https://i.postimg.cc/Bb5ZXZtQ/Passover-Week.png :)
Thanks a lot.. :giggle:
I don't think i can change the text.. Did not have text in the list.. I have an old operating system sadly..

You're wrong the Biblical day starts at 6:00PM not am..
That "day" is referring to 12-hour DAYTIME, not calendar day. A calendar day starts at 6:00pm, DAYTIME starts at daybreak , which is 6:00 am.

I agree with you concerning Easter being pagan, but one must understand that it's three day and three night. In (Matthew 12:38) Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. 39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: 40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The Lord’s days begin and end at evening (sunset). (Gen. 1:5) And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first. All biblical days began and ended at sunset. Throughout the Roman world at that time, and for a few hundred years afterward, days began and ended at sunset. The practice of beginning the new day at midnight was started much later.

So Jesus would Have been in the Grave Wednesday night, Thursday daytime and Thursday night, Friday daytime, Friday night, Saturday daytime and Jesus rose right before the sun went down on Saturday. Hence one has the 3 days and 3 nights which Jesus prophesied.

His death Wednesday night is consistent with the comment of the prophet Daniel, stating the Messiah would be cut off (killed) in the midst of the week.

Daniel 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week (Wednesday is the middle of the week) he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, (Remember, Jesus is the sacrificial Passover Lamb).

I doubt Jesus rose from the grave while it was still daylight on Saturday evening. The Roman guards at the tomb would have had an even trickier time explaining themselves had they been asleep during daylight hours. But we do know he arose before dawn on Sunday morning.

Thursday- not Wednesday. He rose IN three days and ON the third day - not three full days. If it was Wednesday, the resurrection would be on the fourth day.

I will not keep up.

Note: any part of a day in Jewish customs was considered to be a full day.

Well, you have to get three days and three night and understand Jesus didn't rise on Sunday at all. In Matthew 28: 1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. 2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: 4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. 5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

With all the scriptures and verses I provided the math should be easy.

Yeah, because we know the the evening start the next day, maybe Saturday right before dawn. Easter itself is supposed to be a commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus. And Jesus told us to commemorate His death, not His resurrection. Luke (22:19) And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. In reading chapter 22 of the Gospel of Luke one will find that Jesus asked this of His disciples during the Passover meal. The Passover is what Jesus asked us to observe to remind ourselves that He died for us not Easter. Jesus asked us to commemorate the Passover. He was not only to die on the Passover, He became our Passover.

The verses you quoted and blackened plainly says “first day of the week came Mary Magdalene” and “he is risen”, and you tell me that he didn’t rise on the first day of the week at all?

Again In Matthew 28: 1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

It's said at the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn. Understand at that time Jesus was gone already, you focusing on when Mary came and not that Jesus was already gone. Other thing this prove is that you cannot get three days and three night from Good Friday to Easter Sunday morning, because Jesus was still gone. Another place in (John 20:1) The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. (2) Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.

Look, it says yet dark, meaning still dark and Jesus was gone. Morning haven't kick in yet. Another place where you cannot get three days and three night from Good Friday to Easter Sunday morning, because Jesus was gone.

Jesus rose on sat. night, after the Sabbath.

The book says, The lord have not changed his ways. For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed (Malachi 3:6) or Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Also Paul said in Romans 2: 11 For there is no respect of persons with God. Paul said in Romans 2: 13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified

In the scriptures it's written in Numbers 15:16 One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you.

Paul said in Ephesians 2: 11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 that at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. 19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 - And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

Pay attention to what is being said here, because you have to follow after Israel, after the foundation of prophets, which goes back into Moses writing, and others.

Nobody knew whether Jesus was gone already or not, Mary Magdalene and the other women were the only ones who got there, and Mary was the very first eyewitness to whom Jesus appeared. I don’t “focus” on her. Her words were the first testimony of His resurrection, like it or not, and it was on Sunday morning.

it put gentiles and jews on the same plane. not to keep the Law of Moses, but to do the N.T. instructions for Godly living.
But the N.T. instruction is the law of Moses. There are other Law of Moses, like the sacrificial laws, but the royal law (Ten Commandments) never left the table. Paul says in Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. You wouldn’t know what sin was if there was no law. Also Paul says in (Rom. 13:7-10) (v.7) Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. (v.8) Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. That’s the biblical definition of love, the keeping of God’s law. And you thought love was kissing and hugging and rolling around in bed. (v.9) For this, THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, THOU SHALT NOT KILL, THOU SHALT NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS, THOU SHALT NOT COVET; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF. (v.10) Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

And that is what God’s holy commandments are all about; the first four tells you how to love God and the last six tells you how to love your neighbor. If you love your God you will not do any thing to offend him, like having other gods before him. You will do as he says like remember the sabbath day to keep it holy on the seventh day of the week. If you love him you will obey him when he tells you not to eat certain meats etc… And the same goes for your fellow man, if you love your neighbor you wouldn’t steal from him, you wouldn’t kill him, you wouldn’t try and sleep with his wife and so on and so forth. This is God’s definition of love and it is perfect in its ways. So if you say that you know God, but you don’t keep his commandments, lets see what the Lord had specially written for you. (See exodus 20: 1-17)
