I wonder if we're going to soon see a time when all the concentrated Christians will be gathered together...in a concentration camp!
We will have a never-ending, in-person, bible discussion forum. Lol

No doubt the secular world desires separate assimilation from Christians....of which the move is on.

Yes Brother, the camps were built all over the USA and in every country for years now and the guards of these camps are waiting for their leader (1 John 2:18) to show up and fill them with the 'deplorables' who refuse the Agenda currently at hand.

@BenAvraham is a Messianic Jewish Rabbi member who is fluent in Hebrew. He'll post a teaching every week or so.
I find him interesting and a great story teller. Seems to be a really nice guy!
I was wondering what a concentrated Christian is...
Perhaps he means consecrated! Otherwise, just add water and voila!

They don't seem to like us very much, do they...oh well. They need to hear the truth...other than Jesus died to make us rich!

The Attitude of Christ
(Isaiah 52:13-15)

5Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus:

6Who, existing in the form of God,

did not consider to be equal with God something to be grasped,

7but emptied Himself,

having taken the form of a servant,

having been made in the likeness of men.

8And having been found in appearance as a man

He humbled Himself,

having become obedient unto death,

even the death of the cross.

9Therefore God also highly exalted Him,

and granted to Him the name above every name,

10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,

in the heavens and on earth and under the earth,

11and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,

to the glory of God the Father

Christianity of course, is more about faith and faithfulness, and less about academia. Your OP didn't seem to be about discussion on your research, but rather it was about your knowledge fait accompli, and why aren't things being changed to suit your conclusions.

In my opinion our Creator would be amenable to God and YHWH being used in reference to Him, and that they are acceptable interchangeable terms. He wouldn't be offended if we used either. He is far more concerned about our faithfulness towards Him.

My concern is that discussions of this kind often lead to contentions and doubts, and can therefore be counter productive.
It's sad that you, and others are trying to make the OP about my personal knowledge (which is sub-par by any standard).
In no way did I ever suggest that anyone should change the way they refer to, or address, our God the Creator of all.

God has so many awesome titles and descriptors that I could not possibly list. All are appropriate salutations.

The OP is about the clear fact that, throughout scripture, God wants his NAME known. I think that is agreeable to most of us.
Each and every Prophet has God's name infused within their own. Ex3 is a prime example of God proclaiming his NAME.
Read the prophets. God's Name is a major subject.
The point of the OP is... Why are Bibles not revised to the CORRECT translations? We have the technology, don't we?
I have an opinion on the correct pronunciation but so what? It may change as I progress.

Isn't the Bible meant to help us in our own personal relationship with God? For our own discernment? Testing scripture?
side note: this is why I shy away from "concept" based bibles and use more literal, word for word Bibles.

It is becoming apparent that there is a strange (almost visceral) opposition to the knowledge of God's Name.
If this thread reveals that to be the case, is that somehow divisive?

My comments here have been met with much dismissal and a few personal jabs.
I would like to thank all of you that understand what I'm getting at.

If we do find out what God's personal NAME is and learn the proper pronunciation, is that a BAD thing?
If scripture (reflected in the Bible) is given "as written" would it hurt our understanding?
If you think discussing this topic would disrupt your faith in Jesus Christ, are you saved?

Exactly! And as such, it is a descriptor of who God is. Not a Name.
God is saying to Moses "tell them that I am THE God!" (Ha-Ya also translates as "the God")
He goes on to say that his NAME is YHWH... forever.
amen!

but i would point out -- in Hebrew culture, a name is a descriptor of who a person is.
for example a basic interpretation of my name IRL is 'God is my strength' -- which is absolutely accurate.

i point this out because of the deep, strong, meaningful relationship we see in scripture of people's names and the account of them in God's word. for example Simon Peter - the name Simon, which Christ uses sometimes, but not always, has reference to the prophesy given to Simeon, and when He calls him Simon, Peter is being emblematic of Israel herself. which is just one of a thousand examples of the very real significance of names --- so the name of God, when He gives a name, what that name is,carries a TON of meaning!

which is why i pointed out that little thing about Exodus 3; that God tells Moses that if Israel tests him asking what is God's name, tell them I AM ---- this is the answer to the test, if Israel asks you to prove you have actually been sent by the One True God. that is so significant! but it is subtly different than the name YHWH and whatever else He may be called; it is a name with a specific purpose to answer a specific charge.

our God is beyond all things! high above!!!
who can know Him? to whom does He reveal Himself??

Beautifully said!
The Hebrew name being a descriptor is why I lean toward Yahuah instead of Yahweh.
There is plenty of precedence in the pronunciation. (But that's really not the main point of this thread.)
