The first one is just funny and quippey.

The second one is detailing a very impotent Jesus. And it doesn't really look like Jesus. Jesus doesn't need to fight. ALL battles have been won and the outcome decided. Guess who lost?

No need for guns in heaven...ain't no hunting and no bad guys there either.

Metal Swords?
For carving big fruit and loaves of bread and cheese wheels.

Locksmiths are also going to be out of a job.

Just saying...

He will have plenty of ways to grow and learn His ways from my understanding of Scripture.
:):coffee:(y)

I would have to take it to the Lord, at first look I don't see either representing my walk with Him.
YMMV
Best wishes

Why would Jesus use or need a gun? He only has to speak and EVERYTHING must obey. He is not limited to a mans invention to get results.

Well Jesus did recommend His disciples to buy a sword/long bladed knife. Which was used for self defense and being on the road daily tasks like cleaning animals for food. Jesus was very much so a outdoorsman.

A modern self-defense item would be a gun.

I see nothing wrong with the first image as it is almost how our judicial judges once spoke to death sentenced criminals. They would try to save their soul before being hung or shot.

The second to me can give off the wrong message as even Jesus told His disciples that was enough of talking about the sword as if a reminder that those who live by the sword dies by the sword. Without context many skeptics put Christianity right into the same area as militant Islam, the Roman Catholic crusades, the witch trials etc.

also a bit gun-nutty so I think the owner would be the same.

But you can put whatever you want on a doormat I suppose. Its gonna be covered in dirt anyway when ppl wipe their feet on it.

Target pistol is a great recreation, it isn't a video game.(y):)

Reason is a better than emotion for making decisions like this.

The Father wouldn't be impressed by His Son's name and honour being misused, especially in this fashion. He would find the depiction of His Son holding a weapon particular distasteful. He would be angered by this. The imagery here is contradictory to the teachings Jesus gave to His disciples.

MUST obey, or WILL obey? The first implies God is a tyrant. The second implies God is loved.

Must obey refers to the wind, demons even the soldiers that came to arrest Jesus got on their knees and at first were confused at why. It signifies he is above all and every knee will bow. I never said God was a tyrant. If he were he would never save us.

Love the mat. Not crazy about the second. Unlike others here who find this terribly offensive, I don't. You could argue that He understands our need to defend our homes and our property. The Jews in Nehemiah sure did. But, at the same time, I cannot picture Jesus carrying a gun with a smile on His face. I think that mercy is His first preference, deadly judgment only a necessary -- and regretful -- last resort.
