Well, were do I start....? I've been sitting at work, it's a sunny July day and we'r busy. I mean, people everywhere, cars and trucks you name it. but thats not what I was thinking about. As I drank a coffee and people watched I wandered what are all these people thinking, right now at this moment?

You hve the Old retired couples/singles mainly interested in getting a good cup of tea, young kids looking for the fun area.. and parents going daft trying to keep them amused (that brings back memories lol), Busy men glued to their laptops and smartphones, shop fitters having a laugh before going to their next job, you get the idea. Of course, this goes on around the world every minute of the day everyday, millions of people.

All those thoughts thousands per second, millions per second, billions globally, yet, God knows every single one, every single thought, every single movement.

Well. All I can say is what a wonderful all present all powerfull God we serve.

Any how, just thought I'd share that...

My tboughts when I watch people usually consist of, which of these knows the Lord, which of this will go about life never knowing?

Hi djness,

This is very true, I am sure we all do this with the sincerest of thoughts. Just today I was focused on God's glory, or should i say he focused my mind. It's amazing how God can use even these people watching times to demonstrate his glory.

People watching is one of my favorite things. Even on CC. I like to just sit and listen to conversations in the chatrooms or read these threads and try to hear what they aren't saying as much as what they are...and pray for them. And it's important that we really DO pray for them and not just say it.

So many times we focus on our own little corner of the world and think that no one else will understand what we're going through and/or that our problems are actually bigger than they really are (cos we serve a mighty God). But actually LOOKING at the faces of others and their body language can be a real eyeopener.

Hi Julianna,

Working with the public for the last 20 years has been a real eye opener on what you tell about a person by eye contact and body language.. I think that knowing we serve a mighty God helps us to put things in perspective regarding problems. That only this mighty God is mighty to save, he's mighty to help.

Prayer is one of the most important things we can do, and praying for someone/or multiples an make a bigger impact than we sometimes believe. may we pray that God gives us a heart for the people we see and talk to daily who need the love of Christ.
 
Im the same, i like to people watch to. I usually wonder what there thinking, what their life has been like, are they saved, why did they walk out of the house wearing that when it obviously doesnt match :D you know, the real intellectual things.
 
Makes you want to carry around a sack of lightbulbs sometimes and offer folks one for their closet, huh? :)

I love observing people too, especially when they come from different cultures. Sometimes a especific person calls my attention. Dont you feel sometimes interested in a random person because of something u can't explain? Sometimes I do, because of the expression of their eyes or idk what but you feel there's an interesting story about them.
I really believe eyes are the windows to our souls.
