Joy for me is an inside job …It comes from the Lord. Happiness is external, it’s transitory depending on situations, conditions, or activities….which includes entertainment.

And welcome to CC

I’m a simple girl. For the time being I’m enjoying driving my sled up and down the snow covered hillsides. Makes my mind relaxed. For the first time I dared to go full throttle yesterday lol.

Spending time with people is my biggest joy and oft we do some kind of entertainment while together. Hands down though spending time with people and have as much joy and fun sometimes doing nothing as much as doing something.

My girlfriend, which is also my future wife.
"The husband ought to derive joy from his marriage, and from his commitment to it. Isaiah 62:5 compares the joy a bridegroom derives from his bride to God's rejoicing over His people."
When I was single, I lived a busy but richly fulfilling life. But life is blank, is colorless, until I met her and fell in love with her. It was my first wanna build a family cause she brought courtless happiness and joy. We share dinner after work, watch movies on weekends, the bath with music, and watch sports streaming together... I am going to propose to her at the football game this year. I have already prepared roses and a ring for lifetime true love to represent my endless love for her. I also bought "A Marriage Pray" Picture Framed Poem for the proposal. Wish me luck!

So what do you call your dollhead female creation?
Good morning, Sculpt :) My dollhead female creation, hmmmm. LOL. Well, first of all, "she" is not my creation ;) I sourced her from a site that offers a multitude of images free for personal use. I am trying to find the terms and conditions of use on that site. Many like it stipulate "not for commercial gain," which is fine by me, as I have no intention of selling the digital collages I design. That is what I call my creations: digital collages :D I create them piece by piece, adding them one at a time and making many edits to each as they are added to my "canvas," which starts out blank. For instance, that particular "dollhead" was originally clad in pale blue dress and shoes, holding different flowers. I also added the tiny flower at her waistband, and gave her a mouth. She looked like this:

My designs are created specifically to share here, and mostly for displaying Scripture verses to share with my brothers and sisters in Christ. I have done others, such as that welcome panel (one of many over the last number of years; I used to personalize each one with the newcomer's name, but that was way too much work and overly time consuming). My opening post on the thread I created for them says this:
Many of them are inspired in part by posts and threads that you have made. All of them are expressions of love for God and His holy living eternal Word, driven by a desire to share the love that He has so freely poured out upon my life. I have constructed many figures piece by piece, adding a head to a body, putting different clothes on that body, changing the face, hair, eyes, and mouth, maybe even the arms or hands. One I added feet to. Mostly they have not had feet LOL. Um, maybe you did not mean her specifically but the image overall?

I LOVE your compositions! They look great! I do collage art as well, I use audio. I know exactly what you mean and copyright issues. I was asking about the female character in particular. Reminded me of a doll head, like my sister used to have. It's really cute.

Many things. Unfortunately, some of these I have to do alone since I have no social life here in AZ. But...

Love following certain TV shows (Seinfeld, X-Files, etc etc etc).

Stargazing.

Going through old media (videos, audio recordings) and preserving them digitally (fun to hear my voice as a 10yo boy).

Used to be watching sports until the players started kneeling.

Movies. Loooooovvvve movies (but NO fun to do alone all the time).

Museums.

Making videos.

I could list more, but got to hit work.

Thank you! :) Yes, she is kinda cute, isn't she? :giggle: I think she looks better with a mouth, though ;) Don't you? :D How do you do collage art using audio? Heh, sounds like music composition. Notes don't take up any space hahaha. That's one of the nice things about digital art, too, because I do not need any supplies or materials or space to work beyond my laptop. I have collected over ten thousand pieces to work with over the last four years. Some I have used multiple times, and some I have never used; now that I am working in a larger format, some I may never use because the image files are just too small. I did this one last night:

The font is too squished. I'll have to change it  And this one the night before:

I am still tinkering with both, but they are essentially done. I'm just very persnickety LOL

what art program or app do you use Magenta?

Im not talented at computer graphics I just find there are way too many options on a lot of drawing programs that I have no idea what to do

I cant even get my current spine labels right and had to call the helpdesk for help and they couldnt even do it. . I wanted Tahoma bold font and the computer wouldnt cooperate

the previous librarian just used stencils and vivid markers on stickers lol
