I believe it is and the evidence of this is found in scripture and it points to a young earth. All you have to do is read it,
These videos are from those who interpret the evidence as they see it.

Gods footsteps are all through history.
All through creation as well as the focus on israel we can see and know that the God of the hebrews is a true God.
And we are left with no excuse.

Genesis contains history...but it's not a history book. Trying to make it a history book is a recipe for disaster.

When a person reads the entire Bible in a timeline, chronological order, it becomes clear that we are reading about a historical story of God. The Bible is an accounting of the mysterious plan of God. We find that God tells us exactly what is going to happen and what He will do, and throughout the Bible, we find that the Lord recounts his actions over and over again. The Bible is a continual prediction of what will become history.

Why not just ask, is the Bible a collection of fables? Is the Word a long and drawn out lie? Let the faith we have suffice to respond to such an impertinent question.
, that is to say, to a question which refers to a non-believer's thinking without the Holy Spirit.

I've always believed it to be a parable containing fundamental truth.
Can you elaborate on that more? Which parts would be considered a parable?

And what exactly might that be? Genesis is both real history and spiritual history.

I don't know how old the earth is but I believe Genesis is history, absolutely.

In so far as Webster’s definition:

1: TALE, STORY
2a: a chronological record of significant events (such as those affecting a nation or institution) often including an explanation of their causes…”

Yes, Genesis is history.

Not meaning to re-interpret your question in any prejudiced way, but is what you’re really asking is Genesis history or is it wether a question of is Genesis legitimately a history?

God speaks to us from the kingdom of heaven where time is eternal, different from our kind of time. We would need to experience eternal time to fully understand.

We can read scripture as history and know it is the truth or we can read scripture as a spiritual guideline, and know it is the truth. But the best understanding of scripture is to know it is both at the same time.

Since the Ten Commandments tell us that God created everything within those six days, then we do not have to wonder. If we call the year of creation as "the Year of Man" (Anno Hominis) then the earth is approximately 6026 or 6064 years old (adjusted by Anstey).

Actually plenty of Christians accepts that the Bible contains many genre of fiction and nonfiction including myths like found in genesis 1-11.

I'm not one of them. Anyone who has experienced the Raw, Almighty Power of God will testify that all that is read in that unbelievable set of writings . . . is 100% the Holy and remarkable Truth.
