I think you put Him first when you choose to love people the way the word says.

Love your neighbor as yourself!

Only you can answer this question , you have the power within to aid you when you find the answer.

1jo 4:4Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because GREATER IS HE that is in you, than he that is in the world.

So then there's a diffrence between logically knowing what happened, and having God show me what happened?

Blah, I think being a logical person gets in my way sometimes. :p
There is a huge difference. One can possess all the head knowledge in the world but it would only serve to dumbfound and confuse. But if it is "written on his heart" then one knows how to apply such knowledge properly. Let God lead you, for His ways are not our ways.

I understand completely. I'm the same way. I tend to excel when I am familiar with the boundaries that have been set before me. That's why it is critical that we read the bible everyday.

However, in the past, I had struggled with habitual sin and did everything within my power to stop only to fail time after time after time. It wasn't until I was able fully comprehend, both in my mind and in my heart, what exactly Jesus accomplished on the cross that day that I was delivered from old sinful habits.

I believe that there are a lot of prime examples here on CC of people who know the word of God extensively yet do not truly know the heart of God. You can see it both in their words and in deeds. One can have all the knowledge in the world, yet if he knows not love than such knowledge is useless. A prime biblical example of this is King Solomon.

Any other oppoions? Also how do I love more then I do now?

Oh, my brother! His love is infinite and never ceasing! His many mercies and grace never cease to amaze me! I am confident that even when we finally meet Him face to face and dwell in His very presence for billions upon billions of years, even though his blessings will be poured upon in great abundance, we will only experience but a small fraction of His infinite beauty and love!

How can one even begin to describe?
