Romans 11 -- Causing the Jews to Repent

I think we can compare Romans 11 to the Tom Brady story. Here was a guy considered the best quarterback of all time and yet the coaches all felt they could plug in any quarterback and have the same success. As a result he was forced out, just like the Jews rejecting Jesus. He went to the worst team, the team with the worst record in all of football. The very first year there they go and win the superbowl. Meanwhile the team he left brought in a star quarterback, a guy who was the first overall pick of the draft a few years ago. A very talented and athletic quarterback and they had a losing season and didn't make the playoffs. People were describing this as "Brady won the divorce". This is what the Lord is doing with the Jews. They will see that the Lord went to those of us who had the worst record of all human beings and takes us to win the superbowl. That will drive them to jealousy. But wait, that is not their response yet. After Brady winning the superbowl his old team broke the bank to bring in all kinds of players. Now, if Brady can win the Superbowl again that might be the full ingathering and really push them to repentance. If not a third one certainly will (three super bowls in a decade is defined as a dynasty, turning the worst team in football into a dynasty by adding Brady, and taking a dynasty and turning them into an also ran by removing Brady, that will be the ultimate). This is what the tribulation will be, the first 3 1/2 years push Israel to repent and to see the one whom they have pierced.

11th letter in Hebrew alphabet is the “crowning achievement”

12th letter in Hebrew alphabet is the Shepherd’s staff leading us up and out.

The Bible is composed of 66 books, 3 sets of 22 for the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet depicting the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The 22nd book — Song of Songs, 44th book — Acts and 66th book — Revelation

Are all pointing to the conclusion of this age.

These books point to the crowning achievement

11th book — 1Kings — David (depicting Jesus in His earthly ministry) bringing in Solomon (Jesus in His heavenly ministry) as well as Elijah conquering Satan and glorifying God.

33rd book — Micah — God’s coming judgement on Israel as well as His promise to be merciful and restore His people to the Land.

55th book — 2Timothy — Paul hands off the ministry to Timothy challenging him to follow Jesus no matter the sacrifice or risk. The ministry of the spirit is a relay race. Paul kicked off the race and now must depend on those after him to run the good race.

The books all point to the Lamed — shepherd leading us out.

12th book — 2nd Kings — In this book we see Elijah taken up and the waters of the Jordan split twice. These books share God’s warnings of the coming judgment, their falling away from Him in the apostasy, and those who were faithful being taken up in the rapture.

34th book — Nahum — shows the downfall of God’s enemies. We see from history how God will save us. The book is like a message to those going through the tribulation.

56th book — Titus a book about restoring order in Crete, a place notorious for sin. Again these books appear to be a word to those left behind after the rapture.

No one knows the day or the hour

Everytime the Lord said this (twice, once in Matthew the other in Mark) He used this as a basis to say that we therefore needed to watch. So what does this phrase mean? We are given several illustrations.

1. A woman giving birth. -- You do not know the day or the hour your wife is going to give birth. However, you can know that she is pregnant, you can know how many months she is pregnant, you can know what a typical birth cycle is, and we have terms like "expecting" and you even have a "due date". So just because you don't know the day or the hour what it means is you have to watch. You get prepared ahead of time with a go bag and arranging the doctor and everything else you need to do.

2. A farmer harvesting a crop -- You do not know the day or the hour that you will harvest ahead of time. However, an experienced farmer will have a very good idea of when he will be harvesting as the day approaches. It would depend on the weather and how the crop is doing and what the prices are for the crop. I would think once he is within seven days of harvesting he would become very antsy and this is why the Lord said that we needed to "watch". He would be out on the field examining the crop to make his decision.

3. Jewish wedding practice -- This Jewish practice of betrothing a bride, then going to build a place for the two of you to live followed by coming in the middle of the night by surprise to take your bride away is used by the Lord Jesus as an example of us not knowing the day or the hour. But let's examine this. The groom has two years to build that place and presumably it is in the same town that his bride lives in. Why wouldn't she go to see her betrothed on the weekends? She could bring him lunch. Wouldn't she see when the roof is put on, when the carpet is installed, when the appliances are delivered, when the electricity and water are turned on? If the bride is spending time with the Lord why wouldn't she realize that the day is approaching and is almost here? Not only so but there is a deadline, he has to finish before the two years are up otherwise the betrothal contract is no good. She might not know the day or the hour, but she would have to have a very good idea when the place is ready to be moved into.

4. Feast of Trumpets -- No one knows the day or the hour because you have to first have two witnesses confirm that they have seen the sliver of the new moon. It could be a cloudy night so there is no guarantee on this. But that is why you have people out watching and testifying as to what they have seen. But even though you don't know the day or the hour, you do know the month, you do know the week.

To all them that have loved His appearing

2Timothy 4:1 I charge thee in the sight of God, and of Christ Jesus, who shall judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: 2 preach the word; be urgent in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.

Wow, reprove and rebuke are really emphasized before exhort. Many people try to preach and teach while at the same time removing the reproving and the rebuking.

3 For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own lusts; 4 and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside unto fables.

That is the apostasy. Teachers after your own lusts is the prosperity gospel. Interestingly those in the apostasy think they are being "scientific" and "modern" and the Bible is out of date. The only thing they see the Bible as being is a book of fables, stories with a moral punchline.

5 But be thou sober in all things, suffer hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil thy ministry. 6 For I am already being offered, and the time of my departure is come. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith: 8 henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give to me at that day; and not to me only, but also to all them that have loved his appearing.

I like that he says that this crown is "also to all them that have loved His appearing". Not to all those who have been stoned, or imprisoned, or shipwrecked. We do not all have the same course that Paul ran, but what is common to all those who are raptured is that they have loved the Lord's appearing.

My Understanding of Once Saved Always Saved

This has been a very big debate because there are verses that strongly speak to the assurance of salvation and there are verses that speak to the possibility of having your name blotted out of the book of life.

So then, first and foremost I know that our God is a God of Mercy. He does not desire any to perish but that all would be saved. So then for God's part I think we would all be saved eternally, and yet that is not true. We can see in Revelation and other places that there will be a judgement on Satan, the fallen angels and the various people who have given themselves to him.

Therefore there must be another side to this and that is my side. God has done His part now I am required to do mine. I was a teacher in High School and saw there is a very big range in what your students do. Some have the goal to do the bare minimum required. It is a badge of honor to them that they never did one thing more than they had to do. Then there are others who are amazingly dedicated and conscientious about doing every thing you ask. Some students are thrilled to get a 65 on the state exam, others will be disgusted if they get less than a 92. In addition to all these you have those who really do not care. They don't care about the class, they don't care about the test.

With that in mind my feeling has always been that I want to be on the field. When I played football we had 40 kids on the team but only 11 on the field. I was on the first string so I got to play and I got to play both ways, both on the offense and the defense. I always wanted to play I never wanted to sit on the bench. You have Christians who are quite active in their faith, you have others who are passive spectators, and then you have those that go to church on Easter and Christmas. They are not the same, they don't have the same reward.

So to me "once saved always saved" doesn't matter. As long as I am with the kids striving to get a 90 on the exam or the kids working to be on the first string then I have the full assurance that my God desires that I would not perish and He is merciful should I fall. But the kid who doesn't even come to class? Don't blame the teacher if you fail, that is on you. The kid who doesn't come to practice and got cut from the team? Don't show up to the awards dinner at the end of the season.

Paul said there was a crown saved up for all those who love His appearing. The kid who doesn't come to class and doesn't come to practice, that kid doesn't love His appearing, He doesn't care at all.

1. 1 Thess 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord

2. Titus 2:13 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

3. 1Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

4. Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

5. Luke 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

6. John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

7. 1 Thessalonians 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

The following are terms used to depict what we refer to as the rapture:

1. Harpazo - snatched away, caught up.

2. Redemption of our Body

3. The blessed Hope

What is the point?

I once had a pastor who said he was "pan trib" [as opposed to pre trib, mid trib or post trib]. He defined "pan trib" as "it will all pan out in the end". This was a joke and explained why he felt everyone should ignore this topic. Don't discuss it. But it is part of the Bible, so what is the point?

Does it really matter if I believe in a "pre trib" rapture?

Well let's flip this around, what is the point of saying "pan trib" or "mid trib" or "post trib"? The point is quite clear, there are many things that we will see prior to the rapture if that is true. The tribulation begins with the Antichrist being revealed. You will see a treaty with Israel, you will most likely see Ezekiel 38 take place before that, and you will see the Mark of the Beast. So if you tell people to ignore "pre tribulation" teaching you are really telling them we don't need to watch for the Lord's appearing. The Lord Jesus told us repeatedly to watch and Paul said that a crown was laid up for all those who love the Lord's appearing. To say that it will all pan out in the end, it is all a big joke, is to tell people to ignore the Lord's charge to watch for His coming.

Not one verse says rapture . Rapture is an assumption . Lots and lots of words will not change the facts.

This is true and I have addressed this point repeatedly in this blog. I prefer the term "redemption of our Body" but I decided to use the term rapture in the title for a variety of reasons. It is common term, it would probably be more likely to show up in internet searches, and it is controversial.

We are now on post #4,292. It would be impossible to go through every post and point out some piece to the puzzle here or there. However, I believe that Dr. Barry Awe does a very good job of doing something similar to that. His videos are very entertaining and are often somewhere between 1.5 hours and 2 hours long. You don't need to watch them all, just the last one because he likes to give you everything he's got. So if anyone is truly seeking the truth and this question is really bothering them I'd suggest 2 hours with Dr. Barry Awe will probably completely cure you of this doubt.

However, in my experience there are those who are not interested in the truth.
Mark 4:11 He told them, “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables 12 so that, “‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!’”

This verse seems very unfair, the Lord is speaking in parables so that they may be ever seeing but never perceiving? So that they might be ever hearing and never understanding? How do you explain this? There is a book called "The Jungle" that described the meat packing industry and the horrible things they did. In that book Upton Sinclair had a wonderful quote -- "It is hard for a man to see the truth when his job pays him not to". There are people who are not interested in the truth, they don't want to perceive, they don't want to understand. The don't want to turn and be forgiven. No, their goal is to justify the fact that they don't see.

So then it is not my responsibility to see that someone turns and is forgiven, it isn't my responsibility that they understand or even perceive. It is on you. If you are seriously questioning this doctrine of the pre trib rapture then search for Dr. Barry Awe on Youtube and watch his latest video and if you still have questions by all means post them here.

It is truth that the Scripture do not mention rapture . Before anyone gets the wrong idea, about my view, Jesus said He would come again so i believe in His return. What is considered under the word rapture is a huge volume of different ideals . Books, blogs, page after page of mans ideas. Mans understanding . What are the Words of Jesus , any quotes of Jesus speaking of rapture?
I will not interfere any more in your blog.

The Lord told us repeatedly to watch for His return. We are charged to watch. Jesus told us that if we love Him we will keep His commandments and one of them is to watch for His return. In Revelation He told Sardis that if they didn't watch He would come at an hour they didn't expect. So then it is possible for believers to watch and know when the Lord is coming and it is also possible for Christians to not watch and not be aware. He told Philadelphia that "He would keep them out of the hour of trial which is going to come on the whole Earth" so there is a word from Jesus that some believers will be rewarded by being delivered out of the hour of trial which is to come on the earth. Jesus also spoke in parables -- it would be as in the day of Noah, it would be as the days of Lot, so yes there are many words from Jesus that we have quoted and examined in this blog.

The day of the Lord comes as a thief in the night

1Thessalonians 5:2-4 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

I find this very interesting, what does it mean that "the day of the Lord comes as a thief in the night"?

First of all it means "as you have done it will be done unto you".

Matthew 26:55 In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.
Mark 14:48 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me?
Luke 22:52 Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?

They called good evil and evil good. Well then they also will be treated like a thief in the night. The vaccine mandate is a great example of how some have been surprised, caught unawares, as they take their job away from them. The pandemic is another great example of how this "plandemic" has acted like a thief in the night, 40-60% of small businesses are not going to survive. Many landlords have also been driven to bankruptcy. When the elites want to buy they drive the price down, when they want to sell they drive the price up. Caesar Nero is a great example of how the elites like to buy at a fire sale.

Second question, I thought a thief would come secretly, no warning, and yet we are told that the warning is they say "peace and security". That reminds me of something I read that often the companies that install security systems work together with thieves. So as soon as you install the security system your thought is "peace and security" and yet what you have actually done is allow the thieves into your house to case the joint and they have the key to get past the security system. Meanwhile they are selling this digital currency the same way they sell security systems. You give the government the keys to your money to "guard it for you". The same guys who emptied out Social Security will now control your bank account.

Matthew 2:43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
Luke 12:39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.

This is a beautiful picture. They are in darkness. We have been warning them in the gospel for the last two thousand years that the worldly system is condemned, like a building slated for destruction, and yet they are trying to make their home in this condemned building. But to add insult to injury they hire Satan, a thief, to install their security system. The Mark of the Beast is the security system. They think once we have this in place no one can steal anymore because we can track them, we can track every dollar they have. But how idiotic, the thief is the guy who installed the security system! Once it is installed he can steal everything.

The third point, the Lord tells us that only those in darkness get "overtaken as a thief". Anyone who is walking in the light will not be caught by surprise by the thieves.

Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

This reminds us of the prophecy

Jeremiah 2:26 As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel ashamed; they, their kings, their princes, and their priests, and their prophets.

When the Lord comes some will be caught as a thief and ashamed, especially all those who were responsible to tell us and to keep watch and yet kept saying "nothing to see here".

We are not in darkness that we cannot recognize the thief

John 10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

A good example of this is election fraud. If you steal an election you are a thief and you "climbed up some other way". When Biden was elected people thought they would finally have some peace and security. Instead on day 1 he signed a stack of executive orders and it was clear, we had a tyrant. Think of Bhagram airbase, a wonderful strategic location in Afghanistan. We handed it over with billions of dollars of weapons and large pallets of cash to the Taliban who in turn have now handed it over to China. It was sudden, in the middle of the night the army was given the order to evacuate immediately. Biden is a thief, he climbed up some other way, and he just stole this airbase for China which in turn will lead to sudden destruction.

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

All those in darkness were asleep. They didn't care that Biden was compromised by China, they didn't care that big tech was censoring any story contrary to Biden, they didn't care that the Main Stream media was taking orders from his campaign on how to spin the news. The day has overtaken them as a thief in the night and they are going to be ashamed.

Isaiah 62 Till her vindication shines like the dawn

1 For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent,
for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch. 2 The nations will see your vindication, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will bestow. 3 You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

For 2,000 years the church has taken the deserted and desolate place no one else wanted. We were the offscouring of all things. Still, the Lord was building something out of the church. Today nothing scares the totalitarian regimes more than the church. They can deal with individuals easy enough, you can censor them, slander them, bring false charges against them and get them fired. But the church with hundreds of millions of believers, that is different. We have been trained to speak for the Lord despite every attempt to shut us up. At the end of this age it will be the church that stands up to the kingdom of Antichrist. When the rest of the world sees the coming destruction it will be the church that offers a way of salvation. Then her vindication will shine out like the dawn. It will be the dawn of a new age, the kingdom age. The churches salvation will be a blazing torch, a light that shows the way. All the nations have been subjected to this satanic worldly system, they will all see the saints stand up to spiritual forces of the air, they will see you defeat the antichrist and the false prophet and that will be your vindication and your glory. Then these saints will be a crown of glory to the Lord. Everyone will see what He has wrought, every knee will bow and every tongue proclaim that Jesus is Lord.

The Day of the Lord is the day of judgment on the evil Satanic worldly system. At first we will see the Antichrist and his reign rise. He'll appear like a "savior" on a white horse, but will quickly use war, famine and plague to establish his power and authority over the earth. However, the dawning of this day is the rapture of the church. When the church is raptured, primarily the church in Philadelphia but also saints from Sardis and Thyatira as well. That will be a vindication.

4 No longer will they call you Deserted, or name your land Desolate. But you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for the Lord will take delight in you, and your land will be married.

For two thousand years the church is the bride to the Lord Jesus who was crucified on the cross. We are the desolate bride that lives in a deserted land. But when the Lord returns then we will truly be blessed and beautiful. If you meet in one of these "mega churches" with the prosperity gospel, pastors with private planes, mansions and a fleet of luxury cars then surely you are not being called "Deserted or desolate" and this prophecy is clearly not about you.

5 As a young man marries a young woman, so will your Builder marry you; as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you.

Our bridegroom is the builder, the great builder. The church has been built for such a day as this. When they are calling us deplorables, that didn't phase us. When they told us to shut up and just follow orders, that also didn't phase us. When everyone else was talking about how wonderful vaccines were we smelled a rat and we trusted our nose. We did that because the Lord has taught us to trust our nose. We have learned to pay attention to life and peace, and if we don't have it then that becomes our top priority. We have learned that Jesus is Lord of Lords, so we listen to Him first and foremost.

6 I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest, 7 and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth. 8 The Lord has sworn by his right hand and by his mighty arm: “Never again will I give your grain as food for your enemies, and never again will foreigners drink the new wine for which you have toiled; 9 but those who harvest it will eat it and praise the Lord, and those who gather the grapes will drink it in the courts of my sanctuary.”

The governments are incredibly corrupt. In the Old Testament the people paid 10% of their earnings for a government, today we pay over 40%. Everything you buy has a sales tax, and then everyone of those companies that produced it is taxed and all those people who work for those companies are taxed. 40% of what you spend at the store is actually going to pay these taxes. Then on top of that you are taxed. You pay taxes to your federal government and to your state government and maybe even to your city government. If you invest money then anything you earn from that is also taxed. You take the money you have left over after you were taxed and invest it into a company that is being taxed, and if you make money even that is taxed. Why are our taxes so high? The biggest portion of the budget is national defense. In the Old Testament if you wanted to go to war the call went out and that was when the army was raised. They didn’t keep a standing army. Today every time there is a “threat” they spend more money on our “defense”. Going to war is big business for some and extremely profitable. True, for the poor who actually fight the war it is horrible, those that aren’t killed are either left permanently injured or scarred with PTSD. But for those who profit off the war it is extremely profitable and they will richly reward the politicians who did their bidding with big campaign donations and other perks. Then they got the great idea to control our retirement account called Social Security and to make every American pay into that. Once that was established they robbed that account. Then they realized they don't need to raise taxes to take more money, simply print more money. It will result in inflation, but many Americans won't understand that they are being robbed. Finally they got an even better idea, instead of simply controlling Social Security, why not control 100% of everyone's bank account. Let's make the money digital, the government controls it, and then if anyone does anything despicable that they don't like (preach the gospel, proclaim Jesus is Lord, etc) then they can simply push a button and block your ability to access the money. You can neither buy nor can you get paid! That is Power!

10 Pass through, pass through the gates! Prepare the way for the people. Build up, build up the highway! Remove the stones.
Raise a banner for the nations.

Here is what the elites missed. All those people building the highway, they were the ones you considered ignorant masses. They removed the stones. You hired them and trained them to catch people robbing you so now they will rise up and realize you are robbing them. You paid $400 million to steal the election, but you forgot the election was handled by thousands of election workers who you weren’t paid off. That is why we have 2,000 affidavits of election fraud. True you have an army of lawyers, politicians and judges in your pocket, but those who aren’t in your pocket are well able to bring you down. You need us to do all the work of the economy, we don’t need you. If all the crooked politicians, lawyers, judges, tech giants, etc were to disappear no one would miss them. However, if the Lord raptures those that you consider desolate ignorant masses your economy will grind to a halt.

11
The Lord has made proclamation to the ends of the earth: “Say to Daughter Zion, ‘See, your Savior comes! See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him.’” 12 They will be called the Holy People, the Redeemed of the Lord; and you will be called Sought After, the City No Longer Deserted.
