JWs do not believe in the deity of Christ, Christians do. JWs do not believe in the trinity, Christians do. JWs think they might be a part of the 144,000 witnesses spoken of in Revelation, but they are not Jewish, for the most part, so this is not possible. In short JWs reject the person and work of Christ and are not saved. They think He is just a messenger from God or merely an angel. My feeling is they are people who like being religious. Christianity is not a religion but a relationship with God, based on grace, that starts at the moment of salvation and goes on forever. But they rejected Christ and have no choice but to fill the void in their souls with lies.

I looked up the current leader of the JWs about 5 years ago, then looked up his net worth. At that time he was worth 900 million dollars. So I would say the JWs are not about truth but about making their leaders very very rich. I think of it as a religious pyramid scheme to make the top dogs rich.

For more information see the book "The Kingdom of Cults" by Walter Martin.

Now back to what I intended to say, no day is more important than any other day for bringing people to know the Lord Jesus is the main goal of Christianity)a Religion which was put together shortly after the caving of Christ Jesus

Hello Christian Lad,

You are probably a good student if I were to guess. Not many students want to learn things that they aren't required to by all of those teachers. Good for you.
I will add to what others have already said with some interesting recordings that will answer your questions and maybe even impress the girls.

Here's one about the cross we know that Jesus died upon. JWs don't believe that.
That's OK. We have the answers from the Bible.

I hope you enjoy these Christian Lad.
Have a great weekend!

Ask your JW friend if they are indwelt with the Holy Spirit or have been filled with him? Some JWs I have encountered believe they are not. All born again Christians are indwelt with the Holy Spirit and often been filled by Him.

Just learned something new.
Did not know that.

I've asked an J false W elder at the door if they believed in hell. He said no, not how we understand it.

This is an easy one to prove from the Bible, but hard for them to accept.

Matthew 25:46 and I Cor 15 are the best texts to use. Outline I Cor 15 in a modern translation and you will see that part of it addresses resurrection of everyone including unsaved. Even the unbelievers get a new body that can not be destroyed by natural means. In Matthew "eternal" is used for both life and punishment. If one limits punishment then they limit life to the same degree. Some translation use torture for punishment.

Try not to get sidetrack on issues like Hell, eternal punishment.

As my mentor once taught me stick with the main topic of who Jesus is --- fully Man, fully God. They have another Jesus. Also, bring up the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to see if they changed their doctrine again.

That's a good point to stick with a key doctrine with these cult members.
I just see the understanding of hell to be an essential to salvation, but not the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. I'll take your word on that about their false belief on the indwelling Holy Spirit. It just isn't essential to the gospel.

This is my favorite part of I Corinthians for leading someone to Christ. The first four verses.

"
  1. "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
  2. 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
  3. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
  4. 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"

If they admit that they are not indwelled and it is easy to show from Scripture that all real Christians are indwelt. It would start them questioning Watchtower teachings. Planting doubt causes them to examine their doctrines and read our books.

I see your point Learner
You've reminded me of their rejection of the doctrine of the Trinity. They have a different Jesus.

Hebrews 1:8
"But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom."

Bring up the Father telling us to worship Jesus and that God never said this about an angel.

Look for David Reed's books.

Yes, there are plenty of examples of Him receiving worship and as you mentioned about the Father telling us to in Hebrews.
Every elect angel refused worship.
Good one!
