I've been struggling for awhile now trying to know exactly what is Yahweh's will for my life. Should I do this? Should I do that; or go here or there? Finally I got the answer:

"Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."
—Matthew 6:25-34

We worry about so many things, especially in these trying times; but there's only one thing we really have to do and that's trust Him.

As long as Peter kept his eyes on the Lord he was in good shape. Only when he started looking around at the wind and waves did he start to sink.

We get ourselves in a lot of messes when we start looking at life's wind/waves and then think we have to do something quick to fix it.

Proverbs 19:2 says: "Desire without knowledge is not good, and whoever makes haste with his feet misses his way."

One day at a time seems a lot easier than everything all at once

I follow this principle: When we are faced with a decision and yet are not sure of the proper choice (where many choices are available and righteous) we may wait on the Lord for clarity and it will come. If a decision must be made quickly then we are to make the decision according to the measure of wisdom we have already attained.

so @ResidentAlien have you stopped worrying about things?

I kind of noted you seemed to be a bit of a worrywart on CC - if it wasnt one thing it would be another

But I figured you'd learn eventually and were just figuring stuff out :)

Some things are worth worrying about, others aren't. That's all I'm saying. If we worried as much about spiritual things as we do about material things we'd all be a lot better off.
