Today has been busy. Had to get things for fishing tomorrow . Had household chores to do before even going outside. Because today had to get my garden going. It is 16ft by 4ft, plus I have end pots I fill with herbs and spring mix. Still have to weed and get flowers planted in front still. But figured getting my garden done atm was enough. But tomorrow or the next day going to make homemade cat food. Will let people know if it is a go with my cats. Hardest thing to find was the chicken liver. Anyways relaxing atm and watching a weird version of Alice in wonderland.
I hope the garden produces well for you. The grass looks nice and lush, so it looks like things might grow well there in and out of pots.

I hope the cat mix works out for you, and that they go back for seconds to show their gratitude!

I wish you a good time fishing.

May you have a great day in the Lord.

It was a sun fish. Sadly the only one I caught. The snakes were water snakes and garter snakes. But I detest snakes. Years back in Illinois lived in a house that snakes kept creeping in. I woke one night with a baby garter snake in my jammies. It bit me 3 times before I got it out. We killed over 30 snakes in a month. They were coming in the house we were renting. Needless to say we moved out. I have small scars from a few of the bites, they were nasty bites.

Such is the vagaries of fishing.
Wow, that's a lot of big wrigglies. We have stacks of snakes in Oz too, but they're all protected so we aren't allowed to despatch them. Fortunately most communities have access to a snake catcher that relocate them out to the bush. Sorry to learn of your being attacked, that's the stuff of nightmares!

Sunday's are nice because I have the day off of work. The sad flip side is, I got time for friends, except I don't have any!

I don't think my Mother had a very good Mother's day. She was kinda ouchy with me and dad. Even when we tried to do nice things for her, it didn't seem to help much.

Sorry to learn that. Mother's day is kind of superfluous, as every day should be a day when mothers are applauded and rewarded. I hope your mother felt better as the day went on.

We can take comfort in that we always have at least one sincere and loyal friend, and His name is Jesus 👍

What kind of work do you do?

I work for a school. I clean it at night, after the kids and most of the teachers go home. It's not a fun job. It's actually really lonely. Especially now days! I used to have a co-worker that talked to me. Now I got another co-worker who can't hear, and almost never talks to me.

That would be one lonely workplace. You are probably already looking, but I'd keep trying to find work elsewhere. I appreciate you already realise this, but unless it's made up for at home or through our interaction with a local social group, the lack of at work social interactions with friendly workmates can be detrimental to our emotional and mental well being.

Today has been very busy. I started another cleaning job. I have my own cleaning service on the side. But this was thru another larger cleaning business. The job was supposed to be 4 hr.s long. Anyways took me less then 3. So tomorrow will slow down more. Because getting paid by the hr. I am praying I get another cleaning job they were offering 22+ an hr. Easy clean at a bank.
Put my cheapie grill together and did more gardening. Think I am almost off-white.

My wee boat. Paid $2400 aud for it, spent a few hundred more on it since. I can't get her up onto the plane unless I was going down a waterfall, so I either had to lose a heap of weight or sit further forward. Decided that sitting further forward is the easier option. I found an old mop handle with a flexible head so I've fixed it to the tiller handle for extra length that will help me get the centre of gravity happening better. I've replaced the zip ties with three stainless ubolts for strength. Looks a bit crass, but should help. 😎

Another very productive day for you by the sound of it. I hope you get that job you are after.

I kind of ummd and ahhd about getting a tinnie, or an inflatable, or a folding boat like a porta-bote. Anyway, the tinnie that I bought was cheap enough yet in reasonable shape, and I've made a few minor mods to make it more comfortable and safe. It's ok for two up fishing in the Bay should there be a need there.

I thought about fishing from my kayak but felt it would be too uncomfortable for me and would dull the thrill of kayaking and fishing.

What kind of boat do you think might suit you best?

Funny story...
I bought the biggest, most equipped fishing kayak that Walmart had when I first moved to N Alabama. I see people doing it all the time and it looks fun! I let the boat hang out the back of my truck and headed straight from the store to some calm backwaters... I only owned that thing for about an hour. Thank goodness for Walmart's return policy! I could barely keep my balance just SITTING in the darn thing!

It's been good... just reflecting that God will see us through no matter what we are going through. I'm a blessed lucky man.
