How does buying a candle equate to praying to a dead person?

Jesus instructed us on how to pray to God.

And we pray for others, but not to anyone besides Him.

Welcome!

Technically you can pray to anyone or anything, but whether they answer or not is a whole other matter. Jude isn't going to answer, so it's just a waste of time.

I don't know why anyone would want to pray to a clump of wax when you can pray directly to your Father in heaven.

"5For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,"
(1 Timothy 2:5). Lord Jesus said that we ask anything in His name......... We don't need to pray to anyone else. It would be like asking the receptionist at a building company to construct a 50 story skyscraper for you. What will she say? "I'll put you through to someone who can help".

Hebrews 7:25 "Therefore He is able to save completely those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to intercede for them." No mention of Mary or any other believer in heaven there. We can ask other Christians to pray for us also. That is stated in God's word. This is declared many times in God's word. Praying to dead people is never mentioned.

No, they shouldn't!

Pray to God the Father, using the mighty Name of Jesus and you'll get FAR BETTER results!

Have a look Here Here and Here

Yeah, this. You can do whatever you want to do. In this case it won't be worth anything though.

Could you imagine being asleep most peacefully and then someone wakes you up to ask you if they should buy a candle that someone is using your name to sell? Like of all the things to commit the deathly sin of necromancy for, this is probably one of the funniest.

Christians pray only to God... the great I AM.... we pray through Jesus, as he instructed us.

Praying to anything else is idolatry, at best.

Roman Catholics and other non Christians may, but a Christian would never pray to Jude or any other human being...they would know how faulty, useless, and most of all offensive to God, that would be. Christians pray/communicate with God alone.

This practice came from Catholics back in Rome when Constantine made Christianity the official religion of Rome, which was in order to unify the country to try and save it from collapse. When the emperor did this, a bunch of pagans converted and brought bits and pieces of their previous religions with them and over a long period of time it became very perverted.
•candles
•praying to the dead
•a trinity of gods (God almighty, Mary, Jesus)
•Sun worship
•Celebration of Saturnalia(X-Mas)...fertility holiday of the goddess Ishtar (Easter)....Halloween (All saints day)

However God's grace and mysterious works can shine through anything and he has with the Catholic church, though it has many faults as man is in his nature, spread the knowledge of his son Jesus and the living word of God throughout the world.
Glory to God for working through evil and making good.

God, graciously, pulled me out of that huge pit. Some, sadly, have just moved to another position in that same pit, albeit looks a different and more inviting place. Some have been born into this pit, but outsiders will also be lured into it. It is a pit that will eventually close over and suffocate everyone that chooses to remain within it. This, you can be sure of. Write it down if you will, and see!

um no
not that you arent allowed its just

you dont need to buy a special candle, God will answer prayers in the daytime or lit by electric bulb anytime as long as they addressed to Him alone in Jesus name

Save your money, dont bother Jude let him rest in peace.
