So many other Biblical verses that deny OSAS. If you want to base your salvation on OSAS, it's imperative that you acquaint yourselves with scriptures that show OSAS to be a false Biblical teaching.

  1. “Fall from grace” – Galatians 5:1-4,13
  2. “Be led away with error” – 2 Peter 3:17
  3. “Err from the truth” – James 5:19-20
  4. “Weak brother may perish” – 1 Corinthians 8:11
  5. “Fall into condemnation” – James 5:12
  6. “Be moved away from the hope” – Colossians 1:21-23
  7. “Deny the Lord who bought them” – 2 Peter 2:1
  8. “Depart from the living God” – Hebrews 3:12
  9. “Can be a castaway” – 1 Corinthians 9:27
  10. “Can become accursed children” – 2 Peter 2:1
If you are not interested in the fallacy of OSAS, then you won't seek the truth in the above Scripture readings. But, if you want the truth, seek and you shall find.

Let's see who's ignorance according to the word of God, because you quoted Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. But what law is Paul talking about here? Paul is talking about the animal sacrificial law, that's the deed of the law.

Paul explained this in; (Hebrews 10: (v.1) For the law (what law, the law of animal sacrifice?) having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. (v.9) Then said he, (Jesus) Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first that he may establish the second. (v.10) By which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 but this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13 from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

The point that is not understand is that we all have sin, but until Jesus came, there was no way of getting out from under your sins. So God institute a Priesthood and laws that went with the priesthood to control the sinning, and so the Lord use animal Sacrificial laws, even though it could not remove sins.

When Jesus died on the cross that was the end of the first covenant, which consisted of the blood of animals and the keeping of God’s commandments. And his death also brought in the second covenant, which consist of the blood of Jesus and the keeping of God’s commandments. (v.18) Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. In other words, no more animals are going to die for your sins. (20) by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; (21) and having an high priest over the house of God; (v.26) For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.

Now do we understand what’s being said here? If you sin willfully after you have knowledge of what the truth is, no more animals are going to die for you. (v.27) But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. Now if you are being deceived into believing that once you are under God’s grace you no longer have to keep his commandments, all you have to look forward to is the day of judgement and the lake of fire (fiery indignation).

But why didn't you quote the very last verse in Romans 3: 31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. Paul says in (Rom. 7:7,12) (v.7) What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, THOU SHALT NOT COVET. Paul asked a question, is the law sin? He said God forbid, he said the only way that he knew what sin was, was by the law. (v.12) Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. Why in the world would a Christian want to do away with something that God said is holy.

Most people get mix up between the animal Sacrificial law and the Royal law (Ten Commandments).

How many on this site not only go out of their way to manipulate scripture and deny the power of God's Word, but also sacrifice God given common sense for arrogant self serving will? Now I understand the seducing spirit of delusion and why I shouldn't cast pearls before swine.....

This is a Christian Chat site and the Roman Catholic Church is a Christian Church. If you disagree, that is just your own opinion and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I believe we should all agree to disagree and be respectful of one another. I believe God should be the only judge of what is biblical or not biblical and only God knows the hearts and minds of others.

I Thessalonians 4 tells us those already dead but in Christ will be raptured first. Then those who are alive and in Christ shall be next.

The Saints are not to suffer God's anger. 1 Thessalonians 1 and also chapter 5.

There shall be converts after this because people will be able to be saved because God will continue to call out to them. Revelation 7.

Once saved, always saved is not supported by the entire Bible. Here is James 2. There is no such thing as genuine faith without works.

2 My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism. 2 Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in filthy old clothes also comes in. 3 If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, “Here’s a good seat for you,” but say to the poor man, “You stand there” or “Sit on the floor by my feet,” 4 have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?

On earth we are born again only.
God judges us after physical death and then we will granted eternal salvation ...saved...or turned away as......... lost.

I doubt God appreciates anyone on earth trying to pre-empt His proclaimed right to judge.

It seems to me nothing can take us out of his love and it is in his love that we find our salvation is it not?

No, the RCC is not a Christian church.

Many of its precepts do not comport with the teachings of Jesus. Some contradict the teachings, and many are pagan in origin. That makes the RCC the RCC church. Not a Christian church.

Would MusicMan also go by the name theefaith, on other Christian forum sites?

Put it in your mind that fornicators will not inherit the kingdom of heaven 1 Cor 6:9: Know you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind.

I'd suggest you reexamine your faith in OSAS, it's a new credo started by Calviin, in the 1700s, not by Paul. OSAS = weak and shifting sand.

Working your way to heaven is an RCC concept and is not biblical.

OSAS is biblical.

John 10:27-29
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.


Once (the sheep hear the Lords voice and He knows them) Saved, Always (no man is able to pluck them out of my Fathers Hand) Saved.


You just have to be sure that you were ONCE Saved. Not because some preacher told you or your parents told you. But because the Lord Jesus told you and He knows you.

Not because you jumped through all the hoops and "conditions" that your church says is required for Salvation. But because you read the bible and you DO what the Lord says to do. And when you find you can't do what the Lord says to do then you ask the Lord directly for His Help.
