I've always pretty much been indifferent to black licorice, BUT Sambuca, which basically tastes like black licorice, has always been my favorite alcoholic beverage.

Go figure.
I always liked Margaritas. But since alcohol used to be a problem for me, I stopped drinking long ago. Ohhh, I miss Heineken. Oh well.

It's funny that you should mention margaritas because I'm actually drinking a mango margarita as I type.

I don't normally drink alcohol, but I will have a little nip from time to time.

Never really was a beer guy.

I've always been a bit on the thin side, and beer was always too filling. The taste never really excited me, either.

I grew up in an Italian household (my Mom was from Naples), and we drank a lot of espresso (decaf for me). Sometimes, a shot of Sambuca worked its way into the same, and Sambuca remained my drink of choice throughout the years.

I inherited a 1861 new model Army Remington .44 revolver. Even though it is ball and cap and single action it is my favorite of my small arms to shoot. Love the loading process the single pull of the hammer and the kick it makes after being fired. If I had to use it in war like the north or south did, I would toss it after the six shots because my reload time is pitiful. I would for sure use a breechloading carbine.....LOL

Together or separate?

In either case, I rarely ever drink expresso anymore (even though I still like it a lot, and even though I was looking to buy an espresso machine about a year and a half ago), and I only drink decaffeinated when I do. I cut all caffeine out of my system almost 34 years ago. I actually used to basically be a drug addict before I got saved (I almost died of a cocaine overdose about 33 1/2 years ago, and I got saved a few days later), but I was able to quit doing drugs immediately without any sort of withdrawals whatsoever. However, when I stopped drinking caffeine, I went through tremendous withdrawals for a few days. Anyhow, I don't miss it one bit.

I've never drank alcohol in my life and neither has my parents so alcohol tolerance is something I simply don't have.

When my husband and I were first married we went to visit my stepson and his wife and that was the first time met one of my sisters-in-law. Well she wanted to get to know me better and had arranged a wine tasting tour for just myself and she at some of the vineyards in that area and I didn't want to ruin the day by telling her I didn't drink so I just did the day...

By the time we got back to the house I was absolutely toasted trying to pretend I wasn't... But as soon as we got back I had to take a nap... Lol

I have drank a couple times since but I can't drink more than a half glass before I'm toasted... So I still avoid it unless I think I need sleep... Lol. My husband says I'm a cheap date.. hahaha

The last time I had a beer, I'm sure I could feel it after one sip. I think it's next month that it'll 33 years since I stopped drinking. I don't miss the hangovers!

Well, before I got saved, I used to drink like a fish. In fact, there were many times when I drank a bottle of Sambuca (the mid-sized ones) BEFORE I went out to drink. How in the world I'm even still alive can only be rationally explained by God's mercy and grace. And that doesn't even take into account the drugs that I did daily for 11 straight years up until the day that I almost died of an overdose.

Anyhow, now, if I drink at all, then it's basically the "nightcap" that you just described or just a little something before heading off to bed at night. I'm normally quite "sober"...as in "serious" or "grave" and as in not intoxicated at all. With as little as I drank last night, I knew that I was off from work today, so there's that as well.

That said, I did pretty much get "looped" one night last December. There was a fancy party thrown for one of my daughters at a rented hall for her 16th birthday, and I did have a shot of Sambuca and then a Long Island Iced Tea at the bar. I would have stopped there, but then the unthinkable happened...

Someone brought in a bottle of Coquito, and placed it on the table right in front of me. Coquito is a Puerto Rican drink that consists of coconut milk, rum, and cinnamon, and I happen to like all three of them, and especially when they're combined together. Well, I think that I drank the whole bottle, BUT I was still able to maintain my composure and temperance or self-control. Actually, one of my daughter's friend's mothers was hitting on me all night, and she kept on trying to drag me out onto the dance floor. Although I'm normally "sober" as in "grave" or "serious", I do have a totally-off-the-wall sense of humor, and I'm very fluent in idiot. In other words, I'm prone to doing idiotic things deliberately just to get a laugh. With such being the case, deliberately making a fool of myself on the dance floor was definitely within the realm of possibility, but I restrained myself from doing so...and I would imagine that my daughter is happy that I did. My children don't mind my idiocy in private, in fact, they quite like it, but they're prone to embarrassment when I behave like an idiot in public, and especially in front of their friends.
