It's so hot out, I saw a dog chasing a rabbit... And they were both walking.

It's so hot out that I heard a tree whistling for dogs.

When you step outside of the air conditioned grocery store and the heat hits you like a brick. You feel like your legs and body are going to melt under the strain of the heat.

That's when it's hot.

It is so hot that when we try to have a water fight it just turns into a vapor dispute.

On the upside you can spit wherever you want to and it will just blow away in a cloud.

Try it without any A/C at all - which is what I have been doing all week... (while on vacation - which is being "destroyed" one day at a time)

I have been mostly sitting around at home in 84-93 F temperatures (inside) since Monday.

Count your blessings...

It is working now (sort-of), since sometime in the afternoon.

Maybe they can improve upon the situation tomorrow - I sure hope so!

:)

I up until 3 years ago really never had an a/c going all day. But have been working cleaning at 2 forge plants. The worse day so far got up to 130 in there. If it's 90+ it 120 at least. I pray you get your's fixed or a new one. Last night was my split swing shift, I just wanted to pass out and be done.

It's only 15C (59F) but it's supposed to go to 30C (86F) today, which isn't too bad. Since the humidity will be high, I'll be staying in.

It's been so hot here the last few days that I needed a pot rag to open the door. Relief is coming though. By Saturday, the high will be in the low 90s.

Where I was born and raised, we had a saying:

"It's so hot, you can fry an egg on the sidewalk."

"It's so hot, my!"
Said old Miss DeVry
"You could fry an egg on the sidewalk"
"It's so hot, whew!"
Said Mr. Edwin Pugh
"You could fry an egg on the sidewalk"
But I know that's just TALK
It didn't cook at all

(Also mommy is now mad at me for some reason...)

Apparently, eggs will not really cook on a sidewalk LOL.

It's never been hot enough. Anywhere. I looked it up ;):geek::giggle::D

Sidewalk fried eggs would be a little gritty for me.

It was so hot here this afternoon that my dog tiptoed across the deck to get to the grass.

One site I visited actually mentioned a frying pan o_O

That option had never occurred to me before when contemplating
the realities of what would be involved in frying eggs on a sidewalk

we are in a stage 1 drought in north georgia ( u s).

this afternoon, i was doing some cleaning outside, tossing damp paper towels on the ground, to gather up and throw away when i finished what i was doing.
when i got done and went to pick them up, they had ants on them.

the ants smelled the water and came to the damp towels.

first time i have ever seen this , ever.

hot and dry for us.

It’s so hot here that the skeeters are on strike.
