Incidentally, I live in PA, and I used to work as a vendor at a Market where a lot of Amish people set up to sell their wares. Mostly baked goods and furniture. Anyhow, they all used electricity in their booths...especially lights.

I guess you're not a mind-reader. I should've explained myself fully. Lol Someone has to work on Saturday to get the electricity to me that I use on Saturday. Which, I guess, is supposed to make me a hypocrite, thus making me wrong and them right. But I'm not legalistic and I wish people were kinder. With some, a gentle touch will suffice, but they prefer a bomb! 💣

I think it’s fitting for those in Christian countries to be missionaries there. The church has been extremely divided a long time. We always need prayer warriors, but we also need boots on the ground. We need to get people to the unity of the faith and knowledge of the Son of God.

Online preaching is good, too, but this forum isn’t fertile ground.

We need people with the Spirit of God and some gifts of the Spirit to go into churches, preach the gospel, and show that God does answer prayers. I would do that again, but I am not in a Christian country or one where many people speak good English.

I asked God for the gift of speaking in tongues. I believe He told me “not yet.”

I believed the gospel in my heart in 1973. I was water-baptized and urged to speak in tongues in 1975. Though I didn't. On the morning of Thursday, March 16, 2000, I received the gift of tongues. It took some waiting for me, too! :)

Yes it apparently does require waiting, though some people seem to get it faster than others. I guess it just depends on God’s timing.

First, I think you're misreading the scripture somewhat. We are supposed to judge our fellow believers, (1 Corinthians 5:12-13) as the health of the church is our responsibility, however we cannot do so hypocritically - we must remove the log from our own eye first.

That said, if only you and a small selection of your friends are those you will find in heaven, maybe the problem is with you. God will save far more than some people think, and far less than what others believe.

There's always a balance - but we are responsible for the health of the church so if you see a problem, think of ways to address that problem in a Christian manner that would be pleasing to God.
